I'm a bit new to AS2 and have followed the tutorial for the Snow Animation [URL].. I'm wanting the snow to stop after a few seconds and fade out. Anyone know how to do this off hand? I'm a little stumped.
My 2D game has a simple snow effect, but I would like to improve the framerate performance during this effect.I animate 500 sprites with a particle system, using a white 2x2 .gif image.I animate to whole pixel values only.I turn off smoothing and image compression.I don't rotate or scale.No calculations, just modifying the sprite's x values every frame.I've heard some people discuss bitmap caching.
I have used AS3 to create falling snow in an animation. However, once i get to a certain frame I would like the snow to be completely removed from the stage. I have tried 'removeChild' as well as slicing the array, but nothing seems to work. The code I have used to create the falling snow is as follows:
Code: // first make an array to put all our snowflakes in var snowFlakes : Array = new Array();
I'm trying to create a particular effect using the Kirupa tutorial for Flash Snow 3.0.The size of the stage I'm working with is 800x600, but I need the animation to only happen in the center of the stage, in an area approximately 400x400. I've tried masking to no effect I'm sure it's something that I just need to enter in the script,
I created bubbles using the snow 3.0 tutorial from here at kirupa. I slightly altered the code so it would be for bubbles on a canvas of 800x500.The problem with the tutorial is that it is for snow moving downward on the y axis. for bubbles in the water, I need them going upward.which part of the code I need to alter so the bubbles will move up and not down? Also, I need the life of the bubble to last the length of the canvas.
I've been experimenting with this and I haven't been able to come up with an adequate solution. Hoping one of you Mathletes can point me in the right direction. I'm building a Snow Globe in ActionScript 3 and I need to come up with a set of equations to control two level of snowflakes - one level random, and the other interactive where a user can click on them.For the random snow, I need to have it create certain number of random x/y positions at the bottom of the globe, which is a circle with a radius of around 300. Then when the shake action occurs, They should randomly float toward the top, then fall back to a random position at the bottom of the circle again.
For the interactive snow, I need it to randomly layout, but I don't want flakes to overlap so that its easier to interact with them.
at the end of the scene I want the snow to stop falling. I can't work out how to end this script. I want to reuse the snow later, but I have a scene set inside next.How do I start/finish this script?
Here are the two texts Products Innovation I want the button to be "products" and when you mouse over it products fades out and innovation fades in and moves to the top right, like an animation.
I can make an animation so the image fades in.http:[url].... the fade is not smooth. I did this by changing the alpha layer 20% every 5 frames. How can I make the fade smooth?
I have four movie clips with instance names of "purple_ob", "green_ob", "orange_ob" and "blue_ob" and four buttons "purple_but", "green_but", "orange_but" and "blue_but" I want to have the movie clips automatically fade from one to another continually with a 5 second pause inbetween, but then if the user clicks one of the four buttons it will fade the relevant movieclip in. Then if nothing else is pressed the fading will carry on working through the four images in a loop.
So far I have the movie clips fading on a button press but how do I implement the automatic fading from one MC to another?
I've added the code below into the first frame of my scene
I have spent 2 hours on this simple state to state transition with simply resize and move animation. I can get the element to move and fade...but there is no resize animation at all. The panel element stay the same width whole time. If I copy the code to a brand new test mxml file, it works, but not in my main application file.
I'm new to OOP and AS3. I'm doing my company website. When a mouse event sends you to my services page I have 4 separate blocks of text that fade in. So far I have the first 2 texts blocks fading in at the same time. I want to stagger the timing so the second block of text starts its fade in a fraction of a second later, and so on with the remaining text blocks. Below is the code I've used to fade them in at the same time.
//services text fade in var servicesText1Tween:Tween = new Tween(servicesText1, "y", Regular.easeOut, 148.9, 140.9, 1, true); var servicesText1Fade:Tween = new Tween(servicesText1,"alpha",Regular.easeIn,0,1,2,t rue); var servicesText2Tween:Tween = new Tween(servicesText2, "y", Regular.easeOut, 244.7, 236.7, 1, true); var servicesText2Fade:Tween = new Tween(servicesText2,"alpha",Regular.easeIn,0,1,2,t rue);
I'm using Flash CS3, actionscript 2 to build a site in which I would like to have a line of text animation to slide off the screen, but I'm looking for something similar to almost a 'sideways explosion'.... it will be synched to the sound of a golf club swing, and I'm look for some way to get that instant explosion, with the letters plowing through each other and away as they fade off the page....
My client wants so have a loading animation/movie (already created that in Flash CS5) on the website's start page (root, '/' - the first thing you see when you go to domain.tld).When the animation's finished it should forward to another page (i.e. the real page with the content), e.g. domain.tld/somepage.htm I can do this with, for example, getURL() in Flash and it works fine.
But. Is it possible to kind of preload domain.tld/somepage.htm so the content (almost) instantly appears after the loading animation's finished?Also, a fade-out-fade-in effect would be nice, i.e. the loading animation fades out and the content of domain.tld/somepage.htm fades in.
I have a fairly decent grasp of flash, but not so much of the action script side of things. I need to make a banner similar to the one featured here:[URL]..
As you can see, the image is jerky and juddery when it scales down. From what I can find out, I think I need to use the pixel snapping feature to help make it a smoother fade, but I haven't got a clue how to write the actionscript for it, or where to put the actionscript. Can anyone give me any pointers?
is it possible to modify this script to make images load like a fade in/fade out slideshow. It works with buttons to action the transition I want, but I want a similar script to play a simple slideshow with same transitions.
I have 5 buttons that need to, when clicked fade the image in the background out and fade a new picture in. each of these buttons has a specific image related to it. how can i achive this smooth transition in and out for all of the buttons?
flash version: CS3 AS2 Im having trouble making the pages for a website im working on. I have a row of buttons, and I want each one to open its corrisponding page ie. contact_us_button to open contact_us movie clip. the thing is I want each page to transition in and out. so when I click contact us, the contact us movie clip fades in and stops. When I click about us, the contact us movie clip fades out and about us fades in.
Is the way to do this to make each page movie clip have a fade start and fade end, and have it stop before the fade end, and on another page click continue playing the current clip to get the fade out and then open the new page movie clip?
but only 1 ball restart back,other 14 ball just stop at there , try paste on action and try you will see what i mean , how i going to make all ball restart back?
I have a tweened movie which plays on a loop. A click on the image area stops the movie and the image fades nicely from alpha 100 to alpha 0. A second click brings the image back immediately to alpha 100 and the clip continues. I would like the movie image to fade back in from alpha0 to alpha 100 before it re-starts; (the reverse of the fade out). At the moment the re-appearence of the image is a crude jump. So far my ill informed tinkering has not worked.
I simply have one FLVPlayback component in the background and a movieclip on the layer above with an FLVPlayback component inside it. The first FLV component is constantly looping a five-second video. So all I need is for the movieclip containing the second FLV component to load the right file, fade in, and when the video ends, fade out. Absolutely all of that works... apart from the fading in. What I noticed was that my movieclip was fading in correctly, but the FLVPlayback component was empty and transparent until the fade had finished - then it played the clip. Here's my code, which gets called at random intervals:
how to do this effect.I have a movie instance named "sparkles_mov" as in internal movie, not loading externally.It's placed multiple times on the stage.I need an AS code for the first frame of the entire stage that makes all instances fade in at a specific frame number (5), last for XXX amount of seconds and then all of the instances to fade out at a specific frame number (70).Is this possible? I have all instances fading in using this AS code placed on the frame that they enter on but the fade out never works, the just abruptly disappear:
I have 2 buttons on the stage whose each MouseEvent load a different external swf when clicked. In an attempt to get the current swf to fade out and new swf to fade in on button click, I vainly added a Tween to the function but to no avail.
As it is now, when the movie starts, the button 1 swf fades in, however, when button 2 is clicked, the new swf is loaded but the old swf does not fade.
Code: import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.easing.*; var image:Loader = new Loader();
I would like to fade in and out and object with the colorTransform-method. When I apply the colorTransform to my object it does fade out the thing but not fade in. At first I set the alpha of the bitmapData to 0 (for the fade in-effect). After applying the colorTransform it does nothing. No fade in. Otherwise when I set the alpha of the bitmapData to 100 and let it fade out it works.
