View 2 Replieshow to get a stopwatch going in flash? I need it to work as a timer, so no buttons are needed just to begin and displayed when the swf is played.
View 3 RepliesI having a little trouble with the countdown tutorial here. I want to remove the milliseconds and have the timer based on seconds instead. How do I do that? I'm using Flash 8 if that means anything.
View 1 RepliesI need an Timer which starts counting on Buttonpress in secs:millisecs ... But independent from the Framerate (my movie has to run by 30 FPS)
View 1 RepliesAny tutorials or source files for the timer. Just a simple timer that counts down by minutes and seconds for 10 minutes. The closest I got are a bunch of codes that I'm not really good at translating. Just a simple timer that will trigger the end quiz page when time is up.
View 3 RepliesI'm creating an online power hour application. And i need to have a timer to alert the user every sixty seconds for 60 minutes.. Should be simple enough. I'm just having some difficulty.
View 1 RepliesI am looking for a countdown timer what will countdown mins + seconds. All Ican find is a countdown to an event christmas day etc, but this wont work for what I need. I need a timer countdown that wont start again everytime a user enters the game I need a timer so all users enter the game at exactly the same time to the second, I've tried to do it using as3 php mysql but there is to much time difference between users how will I do this.
View 2 RepliesI'm getting a data which contains a certain number.
I need to find how many hours, minutes and seconds it stands for.
for example:
I'm getting the number 248 which means:
00 hours : 04 minutes : 08 seconds
I'm working with the youtube API and I'm getting the current time on the video as seconds.What I want to do is to convert them into this: MM:SS.I've tried to google and try different things by myself but nothing seemed to work and be efficient.
View 4 RepliesI am currently using the following code to display the secconds of a FLV being played:
ActionScript Code:time_txt.text = Math.round(_root.video_mc.videoZ.playheadTime*100)/100;I need to change this to display MM:SS (minutes:seconds) rather than just seconds and decimals.The javascript people here at work suggested something like this:
ActionScript Code:
function strPad(str, places, pad, side) {
while (length(str) < places) {
[code].....
I have a video player and trying to make a time indicator of minute and seconds.
View 3 Repliesmy code: myTextBox.text = count1.currentCount.toString();
How would i display the current count in milliseconds?
I am trying to create a counter timer which displays milliseconds, so the timer will be something like: 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3
View 8 RepliesI am looking for a flash clock online which displays in milliseconds. I need it to be circular style (not digital) and never stop (unless page is refreshed).
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to make a countdown timer with milliseconds. I'm using this site w w w .emanueleferonato. com/2007/02/19/flash-simple-timercountdown/ for the code and it works fine (except I don't know how to make it stop at 0). Now I'm trying to add more items, such as music and a changeable background, to the countdown page and end up with errors.
Is there somehow I can add new frames to the background layer without the song playing over each other when I preview it? Also how can I make a button appear after it has hit 0 so I can click on it and lets me leave the countdown page?
I have been searching and trying different methods to locate how to calculate minutes and seconds of an audio file that has been loaded within my public class. Does anyone know how to get seconds/minutes with a loaded sound object? I can easily do it with video, but it seems a bit harder to find info on calculating sound object length in minutes and seconds.
Currently, my class:Loads the mp3 file Contains pause/play, mute/unmute buttons and they function beautifully A scrub bar - this is the piece I am currently working on. I want to add a current time and total time (minutes/seconds)Scrub bar contains progress area bar - already built and functioning
[Code]...
When i test it, I got this text: UNDEFINED But if I write clock.text = date; It works
But why doesn't seconds, hours, or minutes work
How I can create a timer that will start from 00:00 and will stop at 3:25 or 2:53 and etc and stuck in that position? And I want it to be in a format of 59:59 (60 minutes and 60 seconds) and NOT in 99:99.
View 3 RepliesI want some Script for the Count Down timer of 15 minutes in the end of Timer i need to show another thing any regarding this thing
View 3 RepliesHow would I get a timer function to reset after no buttonswere pressed for 3 minutes?Right now I have my timer starting on load, and then when abutton is pressed, it stops it. I basically want to restart itafter 3 minutes.
the code I have:
[PHP]var timer:Timer = new Timer(5000);
timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, playSlides);
[code].....
I need to do a countdown time coder showing minutes, seconds and frames (25fps). I've searched a lot but w/out a fish The only similar thing I found is the Kirupa's tut, but I think it's too much graphical (I'd like it only w/ fonts) and actually I'm not so AS skilled Does anybody know where can I start or a good tut?
View 2 RepliesI have an application in which when i click on a particular tab an HTTPService having id="service" is sent. This service calls a php file which in turn extracts data from a table and return as xml string to Flex. Flex then use DataGrid's dataprovider attribute to show the data in the dataGrid.Can i have a functionality of a timer which will call the HTTPService again and again after each 5 minutes?
View 1 RepliesBefore I get started, I would like to point out that I'm just getting started in flash, so this may very well fit better under the newbies forum. The goal: I'm trying to put together a countdown timer, which can count down from preset amount of time to zero, then trigger an announcement event, as well as an event at 30 seconds, 1, 2, and 3 minutes left. Later on I hope to add in a setup for this to turn into a Debate timer with start/stop/next speech button, but for now, I just need to figure out the timer bit.
[Code]....
I'm on the last stage of developing my game, and I need to display a countdown timer, lasting 3 minutes. I want to display the time counting down in the format "3:00" and then when the timer hits the full 3 minutes an event is fired and it stops, and I display a few other things along with it in the same function. The difficulty I have is actually doing the bit where I display the timer and update it accordingly. If there is any genius out there who can do this (In AS3) then you are my new best friend. I only have a few hours till my submission deadline, and this thing is KILLING ME!!! hypothetically.
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to add a running timer to my flash movie. I've got it now so that it counts seconds (by comparing _currentframe with the frame rate), but I'd like to be able to express that in minutes:seconds.

View 13 RepliesI'm wondering if there is a script that can tell the movie to go to a "time is up" frame after 2 minutes has gone by? Or do I have to do it the crappy way and literally create the necessary amount of frames that would take up the full 2 minutes manually?
View 3 RepliesI've got a problem that must be simple to solve but it seems beyond me, I'm new to AS3 so please be as explicit as you can in your explanation. I have a timer counting down from 60 seconds, what I want though is when the user clicks, ten seconds gets added to the time. I've tried many different ways but none work, I understand why they don't work but I can't think of a way that does.[code].....
View 4 Replies have a countdown timer counting down from 60 seconds. What I would like to happen is when the user clicks on the stage I would like the timer to increase by 10 seconds and then carry on counting down. e.g The user clicks when the timer is at 45 seconds so then the time jumps to 55 seconds and resumes counting down, whilst the time is displayed in a text box.
I asked in another forum and they pointed me to a link on adobe for the delay property. I gave this a go and I got it to add 10 seconds but then it kept on firing every 10 seconds (as you might expect) but not really what I was after.
here is the code for the timer.
Code:
var count:Number = 60;
var myTimer:Timer = new Timer(1000,count);
myTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, countdown);
myTimer.start();
[Code]....
Im trying to reduce 5 seconds from the timer when the user clicks on the stage.This is the first time im using the Timer class and im not sure how to do this. This is the code i have so far,
Code:
var theTimer:Timer = new Timer(1000, 60);
theTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, timerListen);
[code].....
