ActionScript 2.0 :: XML Slideshow With 2 Sets Of Thumbnails?

however I need to create a gallery with two rows of thumbnails representing Before & After situation. So the xml would have to make a reference to 2 sets of images/thumbnails. I don't even have to have them scrolling. Is there an easy way of modyfying the existing code?
I'm trying to create an image gallery by toggling between different sets of thumbnails and thus loading the appropriate images.I've set up the first 9 okay and they all load at first but when I toggle back and forth in the toggleThumbnails function using addChild I can no longer load these same movieclips.I'm loading the same movieclip with their associated instance names? How come it no longer interacts with the thumbnails?

I am trying to create a slideshow that goes through the large images on it own using a timed interval and also have thumbnails of the large images that you can click on to take you directly to that image.I have create a slideshow with thumbnails that you can click on to view the large image but I want the large images to move automaticly when you start and then use the thumbnails to move between pictures
I am trying to build a slideshow with scrolling thumbnails and mouse control. I am fallowing a you tube tutorial. [URL] I have done everything that he says to do and I can not get it to scroll. He builds this in AS2 and I have changed my publish settings to AS2. The thing that confuses me is that he is able to get it to scroll before he puts the code in. I'm trying to make a few modifications to the XML Slideshow; I've removed the scrolling, and would like the thumbnails to animate X position when they load; starting off stage and moving on. I'd also like a black border around the thumbs to appear on Rollover/Click...I have an idea on how this should work, but having trouble implementing it...I'm guessing I'd have to attach another movieclip behind each thumb and set visibility of that clip on rollover.

I still can not get a basic slideshow with the either thumbnails or prev/next buttons to work. It seems that every tutorial either assumes I downloaded the correct libraries or understand when they are using AS2 or AS3.point me to a "FOOL" proof tutorial or template..I understand the basic part of what is going on but do not know enough AS yet to hammer out the actions myself.
I have been using the tutorial on the Photo Slideshow Using XML and Flash, and think it is fantastic. It is really clear and easy to follow. However I have encoutered three things with it. Firstly I would love to be able to add a border around each thumbnail accross the bottom, that would change color when the user rolls over the thumbnail.I would also like to be able to highlight which thumbnail is currently being shown as the top image.The third issue I have had is when a user moves the mouse to the right of the first image, it scrolls about 5 pixels to the right even though there is no other image before it.
Haven't been here for a while and I'm really rusty using Flash. I looking for a tutorial or some information on how to scroll thumbnails by scrolling the mouse left or right over the thumbnails.
I used the tutorial "Adding Thumbnails" to build a fotoshow. Adding another xml-file I have the problem,that I cannot reload(?) the thumbnails correctly.[code]Then I do not see any thumbnails,if(!) the new thumbnail list contains fewer elements than the old one and if the old thumbnail list was scrolled over the hit_right field before.It is seemingly necessary to reset the internal state of the movieclip. But how can I accompish that?
I've got a website with three links to three different thumbnail galleries. When I click the link to a gallery that has a lesser number of thumbnails, it fills the difference in numbers in with thumbnails from the previous gallery.
I am trying to scale a swf that has been loaded via a swfloader. When I get the complete event or the init event the dimensions of the swfloader are still zero. I don't see a value in the dimensions until I do a resize of the browser window. The swf is just an animation. Trying to resize the actual swf content gives inconsistent results.
I have a project to do and I'm not sure how to get it done. I have some experience using xml to load images into flash but that was one at a time. the project that i'm currently working on needs to work like something like this.
I need flash to load in three images at one time(from an xml file) and display them in a horizontal line, and then move across the stage from one side to the other.
i know how to load one image at a time but not multiple. and i don't know how to make the images slide across the stage in a line.
If I import a font to the library, am I correct in assuming that it imports the massive character set (all). There seems to be no setting that I can see where to specify the glyphs or level of character support for example all the funny characters.

I have a project in mind in which I would like 3 sets of interlinked images that are displayed on the same stage. While the mouse is over one set the wheel button allows for scrolling through that set of images and so on for the other two sets of images.
How do I separate the three sets of images, so that scrolling through one set doesn't affect the other sets on the stage? Each set has about 30 images each.
what im doing is showing different photo sets on the same timeline for my site. so i thought i would have each photoset on a frame and each frame has the stop function on it to keep it from playing them all. so i have a button saying "set 1" and when you click that its supposed to play frame 5. code on the button:
on (release) { gotoAndPlay(7); } (set one is on frame 7) but this doesnt work i dont get it. whats wrong? is there a better way to do this?
I have created a pie preloader(preloader.zip) which is working fine. Same preloader I am trying to incorporate in a xml based slideshow(slideshow.zip) to show image loading process but some how I got stuck. I am new to flash. Suggestions are welcome.
1. How to solve the problem of preloader2. Is it possible to integrate everything in a movie clip (including AS). I mean no AS on main time line but inside the movie clip. It would be much easier then to to create multiple slideshows by duplicating mc and changing the xml file.
i have a question about text in a slideshow. i know how to make a basic photo slideshow with external images. but now what i want to do is add 4-5 paragraphs of text next to each photo (with possible scrolling). the text will be different on each photo.
I've written several JSFL scripts that work perfectly for batch processing files and doing everything I need it to do. Problem I'm having now, is I want a way to have a sort of panel that sets to the side while the script runs, and gives the operator an option to end the command. So if someone is processing 100 files and on file 50 they realize they messed up, they can stop the process and then go back and run it again later after they've fixed their error.

I have a 3D field with many MovieClips in it, and seems like the one last added is the one that overlaps others and not the one with highest z value. Is there any property/function that sets z-index? (sorting children by z value seems too much like a hack). A 3D engine that can place MovieClips will be helpful(but not one that requires custom drawing). I'm using Flash CS5 with ActionScript 3
I'm using the following script on a button/movie clip to control the placement and rotation of an object. Half way down the code i have detailed the problem that i am encountering. I don't know if my syntax for access to a global array is correct but this line is definately where the problem lies.

I have a loop which creates a bunch of movieclips and sets them on the stage.As I create each one I attatch an eventListener to it.My problem is that when the eventListener fires, the function it calls always works on the first mc added to the stage, not the one that fired the listener.How do I fix this?Here's a bit of the code:
