My question is that how can i load the font swf dynamically from server and add them to the library and how can i use that swf to change the font of dynamic text field.
if there are embedded fonts in library the i can access them using this- --

May 23, 2011I need to implement a functionality where a user adds some text into a text field. Next if a user clicks on a button, then the font size increase/decrease so as to accomodate entire text in the available area. That means if a user has added just hello world in 12 px font and text field size is say 400*200 and user clicks on the button, the font size increases such that the text is occupied in the complete text field. Similarly if lot of content is added at a font size of 16 or so then clicking on the button reduces the font size to make it fit into the available text field area.

Jul 24, 2010I am trying to display an HTML formated file in the text Area.It should be straightforward task using the following code:

This uses a text area component dragged to stage and named myCV_TA. No text is displayed with that code.It does work when an ordinary text is used and myCV_TA.html/text is changed to myCV_TA.text.Tried many things and decided to live with the simple text file and apply some formating to it://----create textformat object

This code does not apply any formating, the simple text file is displayed but without any formating .

Oct 16, 2009I put a text area component on stage and set the vertical scrolling to Auto, so now when ever I have to much text the scroll bar pops up, but the problem is that I can't get the scroll bar to always be on the bottom, so when ever I add more text I always have to use my mouse and drag the scroll bar to view the latest info, is there a way that I can see the latest update without having to manually scroll down?

Oct 30, 2009I've developed an application which uses a couple of variations of the same font throughout.I have embedded the relevant font in to every single text field throughout the application (using the embed dialogue box).However whenever I change the text in code, the font is displayed differently. I have even tried setting it to embed every character from the font in to the field, and I have also added the font as a library component and exported for actionscript. It looks like it is losing its weighting.

Sep 1, 2010I am loading a small scrolling text box dynamically from a .txt doc in the same folder, but I can't find anything about changing the font properties. No matter what changes I make to the code, the font stays size 12, times new roman, black. I want to change all three of these properties, but most of the related forum posts I have found are about changing the font for a given sentence, manually input into the AS. I need flash to list all font in the text file as Arial, 13, and white in color.This is being set up so members of managment can update news without needing flash to do so, so they obviously can't type everything into the AS.
Here is the code I'm using:

Oct 19, 2011i would like to modify the font weight of a word (my title) that is into a textfield that is "scrolled" : so when i modify this word, the whole text is being modified as well, and i can't write it in another textfield, because i want it to be scrolled as the rest of the text.Do i "have to" set the title and the text dynamically to change the font? or can i do it directly from the fla (which would save me some time, i have several texts in the same case)
