Jun 7, 2004i've made a button that zooms into a movie clip on a rollover, but it on moves it a certain amount each time you rollover the button. code below:

wot i want it to do is to continue zooming in for as long as the mouse is over the button, is there anyway i can change the code to zoom in at the same amount but do it continuously until the mouse is moved off the button. Also is there anyway that i can set it so that the zoom stops at a certain percentage, i.e. it only zooms in so much and then stops. What i mean is that the user can zoom in but the picture will only zoom in to say 200% of the original size.

Mar 15, 2006I am attaching a movie, valled targetx it has a second clip inside it, called holder. I am using loadmovie to load an image or swf into the attachmovies holder clip. But, if I use trace(targetx.holder._width) to get the loaded clips width I get 0, which is cleary no correct.

Jan 30, 2006[Edit] Found out that another function was running concurrently and changing x's value. <- block head = me I have two functions, flatline2() and lines(). In flatline2() I've set x=0, but when I call lines() the var x as well as other vars are incremented by one.

My goal is to move around the scene and zoom-in or zoom-out I found that if I move scene, I have to move registration point, because I always want to zoom in the centre of my ocular. So far application works fine only if I move, zoom-in and than before I move any further, zoom-out! But when I move, zoom-in (not fully), move again and zoom-in again, the second zooming doesn't appear on desirable registration point

By default, app has a theme and I would like it to change when user selects a theme from dropdown list. This can be done by loading a swf file using styleManager. However, all the skins have colors hard-coded in them. So, in order to achieve this I would have to duplicate skins and change value of the colors.
Is there a better way of doing this? Can I just have a skin that will change color values dynamically based on user selection?

May 13, 2011Using flex / air 2.6 working on an Android device, I am using a canvas with a TransformGestureEvent for zoom in on a map. The listening of the efect is working ok, but I canīt seem to find the information on wether the user intended zoom in or zoom out (fingers getting closer or getting apart).I expected the intention of the gesture to be identifiable with the offsetX and offsetY properties of the event, as you will do on a swipe gesture event. But I always get 0 for both properties, no matter how I do the gesture in the device.How can I know if the fingers getting closer or getting apart in a gesture zoom event?

Dec 18, 2007I'm trying to use associative arrays to store my variables but am looking for a solution to change the value of array1[i] to array2[i]. Since it's an associative array, the only way I know how to loop through these kinds of arrays is by the following:

What I would do when using indexed arrays to change the value of array1[i] to array2[i] would be something like this:

}
However, I can't see any way you can do this with associative arrays because they do not have a numbered index such that in a loop you could
say array1[i] = array2[i] .
So I'm looking for a way to do this with associative arrays.

Jun 11, 2004I can't get code in my button to change the values displayed in my dynamic text boxes. I have a column of twelve dynamic text boxes which display numbers stored in an array. The array contains more than twelve numbers. I want to use buttons to refresh the information in the boxes (effectively creating a scrolling effect) so that the remaining contents of the array can be revealed as required. In the code below Stats1 etc. refer to the dynamic text. The array is called Stats4display.
