ActionScript 2.0 :: Combine Dynamic Text From A PHP File Into A Flash Movie?

I�m trying to combine dynamic text from a PHP file into a Flash movie. The plan is to have a sequence of 4 different strings displayed in the dynamic text boxes delayed by using setInterval (or a better delay mechanism if anyone can suggest one). If I do this:

I get �undefined� in the Flash text fields. The variables in the PHP text file are v1 thru v4 and c1 thru c4. If, after LoadVars, the specific variables are identified like this:
Verse.text = txtData.v1
Chapter.text = txtData.c1
The correct text displays. That says the LoadVars is working correctly, right? But for scrolling through the sequence I�ve tried various methods � do/while, for, if � with degrees of failure ranging from massive to total.
I have to build one MXP package for Flash (not Flex). But i have multiple components, somthing like HelpSymbolMovieClips(have its on class), one image holder. etc. I need to combine there swc file into a single MXP file.How can i make a all these multi movieClip functionality in a single SWC file. i have a dynamic text field where an array controls a dynamic text box where the keypad reps diff numbers ie kpad1, 2 and so on. When I try to use letters it doesnt work, im assuming there has to be a nNumb equivalent for usung letters?

in my Flash movie (CS3) I want all text to be selectable. When I select 'static' and 'selectable', I have the following issues: Some of the text does not fit into the available (scrolling required to see the end of text) This is larger than when in Flash.
I created a movie clip to hold xml menu, then called that movie into my main. Now when I use the easing function to change the alpha to 0 the dynamic txt from the menu still shows.The rest of the layers from the menu movie were taken care of with the eaising function.
I have created a Flash file which will act as our company's standard presentation / portfolio of all previous projects. I've pretty much got it running the way I want, but I've just tried it on a few different computers and realised that the fonts aren't embedded. I've used our corporate font so it needs to look right. Having read the following documentation [URL] I now understand how to embed fonts for one dynamic text object at a time. However, I have a lot of different dynamic text objects in the file and I would dearly love to embed them all in one step! The same embedding options can be applied to just about all objects, as they're all the same size and font.
I'm working on a little project where I would like to use Dynamic text input to play corresponding movie files! Basicly what needs to happen is you type a VERB onto the Dynamic field i.e. JUMP and then a little character underneath would jump probably from an .swf file of the character jumping!
I am wondering why is there a seperate as file in a zip I downloaded? There are the files slider.as and slider.fla. I'm trying to load a simple variable &myVar from a php file into my flash movie, that's a blank movie with just actionscript in it.I tried to load this &myVar into a dynamic Text field and it works fine, but I can't get this value into a flash variable to manipulate it with actionscript.. I've made a flash movie which will load four movie clips at runtime. Actually, the number of movie clips will depend upon number of "NODE" in XML file. Keeping XML file thing aside, I've tried hardcoded values; 4. Let me describe you the structure very well:
There is a main empty movie clip, instance name "mc_scroll" which will be only item on stage. In this movie clip, another movie clip whose identifier name is "blueMovie" will be loaded dynamically. Inside this "blueMovie" MC, there is a button instance name is "blueButton" and inside this button there is a "Dynamic Text" field instance name is "btn_text".
Phewww.. so long chain... inshort: mc_scroll->blueMovie->blueButton->btn_text
Now, I can load 4 or any number of "blueMovie" inside "mc_scroll". But I also want to set the button text for each button inside each MC!! I'm sure you guys are getting what I want to do. But its not working. Below is the code:

how to assign the text dynamically which is inside a button and this button inside a MC which is created dynamically inside a main MC!
I made a simpletext file and used the loadVariablesNum() script in flash to call that file into dynamic text boxes within my flash piece. that's all fine and dandy but now the problem is that I don't know how to make links in that simpletext document to link to specific parts of my flash movie. Basically, I need the simpletext document to have words that you can click that will take you to another frame that has another dynamic box in it with more text.

I'm taking a stab at learning adobe cs4 flash. How can I combine different text and pictures into 1 picture? I already have all the images separated (background, car, and text using photoshop), but I would like the background to slowly fade in, then make the car slowly fade in while coming from the left of the screen, and then the text fades in.
I'm making a simple drag-and-drop style dress up game, and I want to know if it's possible to combine multiple movie clips on different layers so that they can be gragged as a single object in the game, but retain their seperate layers. For example, if I make a hat and I want the front part of the hat to be on a layer above the doll base's head, and the back of the hat to be on a layer behind it, but the hat has to move as a whole when dragged.
I've been using Flash for a few years now and I've recently (5 months+) started using CS5 package.My query is how do I successfully embed accented latin characters into a "classic" dynamic text field in my compiled Flash movie that are called from an external text file. I've searched the various forums online and all the methods demonstrated have not worked.
What I've done so far is to to select my dynamic text field, click on "Embed" within the PROPERTIES area, choose the font and the weight, then add any of the foreign characters and/or glyphs to the "Also include these characters:" area then finish up and compile. When I run my SWF file, the glyphs and accented fonts are missing but all the other typical Latin characters show up.
I tried this same method in CS4 (because we have an old Mac in the office too), and almost the same thing happened except instead of completely missing out the glyphs and fonts, it showed a box (almost like an image placeholder) instead.
I want to import an html file that contains just plain tet inside of a dynamic text box. The things that I have tried jus tmake the html file pop-up as a new page, but i want the information inside of that textbox.

I have a dynamic text field that displays text from an external file. The text file has lists of text such as a1=(text here)&w1=(text here)& etcI want to be able to make a button so that will add one to the word count, such as, a button that says "Next" and when i do that, it loads the text string A2, when i click it again, it loads A3
I have a dynamic textfield being populated with an xml files' content. I then have a css stylesheet loaded into format the text. This all works great, but what doesn't work is the ability to bold some of the words in that text. I have both the regular and bold versions of the font embedded into the swf, I can test out just a bold block of text and it works fine. The css is also working as it will change the size of the text that I tell it to. Everything is working, but for some reason I am not able to get the bolder version of the font to display in the same text box as the regular one. I have also tried to change fonts but had the same outcome.
