ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamic XML File (PHP) Does Not Work For Flash Movie

The static xml file works fine for my flash movie but the dynamic xml file generated with php won't. How is that even possible. The output is the same.. I get no error from the flashmovie or something

I�m trying to combine dynamic text from a PHP file into a Flash movie. The plan is to have a sequence of 4 different strings displayed in the dynamic text boxes delayed by using setInterval (or a better delay mechanism if anyone can suggest one). If I do this:

I get �undefined� in the Flash text fields. The variables in the PHP text file are v1 thru v4 and c1 thru c4. If, after LoadVars, the specific variables are identified like this:
Verse.text = txtData.v1
Chapter.text = txtData.c1
The correct text displays. That says the LoadVars is working correctly, right? But for scrolling through the sequence I�ve tried various methods � do/while, for, if � with degrees of failure ranging from massive to total.

I am not sure what is the difference between externally and dynamically loading pages, but I have created swf files for each of my pages and then a main page that those swfs get loaded into. The problem I am having is: I have transitions between my pages and my movie clip will animate when it is in the page swf, but not when it is in the main file.

I changed a layer entry of my Flash file by moving around various elements within the layer. I sitll have the original file, too. I'd like to put it back exactly like it was in the original file. How do I replace the changed sprite element from the new file with the original from the old file?

Let me give the context first. A user opens a local html file which has a reference to a network url of an swf file to embed.
(1) If the embed swf requests a local image file , will Flash allow the request?
(
2) If the embed swf requests an image file on a non local url other than one of the swf file, will Flash check a crossdomain.xml file on the url?

If I am intruding here with a silly beginner questions I apologize. I am new to Flash. I have purchased a dynamic flash intro sort of like this url..It came with the full package including source files and but also simple editing through an xml file. I have the video as I want it but want to put it as an introduction for a full video (in AVI or .FLA format).How can I export it as a video file without the need of anything else such as the xml?

I am creating a clock with a textfield and I am loading fonts from a SWF library: the available classes/linkages are "Arial", "ArialBold", "MyriadPro", "MyriadProBold" and "Verdana".This is the line where I get the class from the SWF, and it extracts the class correctly

I have a dynamically generated menu populated by two arrays, "menuTitles" and "menuLinks." Everything works great except the onRelease command. I get "undefined" instead of the contents of the array element (should be an HTML link). If I hard code the array element (menuLinks[1]) it works, but as it is, I just keep getting undefined.

I've had an issue with using Facebook's Share feature.
The user experience on the shared content below is just completely unclear (even when I tested some clarified language: e.g. "click here"). Users simply don't know what to do: they often either click "Like," or they comment with something along the lines of "I support you."
According to the documentation, it is possible to share Flash content in these posts. I'm hoping I can create a "Support" button as an SWF button.
Is it possible to dynamically create such an SWF with a custom *href? Will my use case work on Facebook?

im planning to create a movie file that might have over 16,000 frames?i know this sounds silly but,i have already created 14 scenes which is just over 15,500.i have created the 15th scene but it stopped playing because i know maximum number of frame we can have is 16,000. is there any way around this problem? its a huge presentation im doin and there is loads of stuff going in it.

I am a Flash novice and ran into a problem when my Flash generated html file opens in Safari (I'm designing on a Mac) but would not open on a recipient's computer - a PC using IE. I'm using CS5 and set up the file for actionscript 2.0. I know one needs to be sensitive to the various browsers being used, but how does one go about that and how can I begin to troubleshoot my current problem? I didn't use any special coding...I don't know action script yet.

I have a SWF file emedded withing a HTML page. Trying to do a simple operation - go to and play certain frame in SWF using javascript. I'm using ExternalInterface to do this but for the life of me can't get the two to communicate. I add all the code but when clicking on the link which calls javascript, it says my flash object is undefined?

One of the problems is having an image as a link. For instance, I have a photo and try to link a website to it:

. I heard that there's a 128 character limit for links in Flash. Is there any way around this?
What about forms? PayPal has the option of doing a form for a shopping cart. Flash won't even begin to recognize it when I just drop the form code in there.

I have another preloader question to go on pile with all the others.I have various preloader scripts that I have used in the past, but for some reason with the flash file I'm working on, they don't work. sort of.Basically I have a flash file that dynamically creates a majority of the movieClips through AS (not sure if this makes a difference). Then images are pulled out of the library and into the movieClips. This makes my swf size approximately 4.9mb. So I need a preloader.When I go to simulate the download, I don't see the preloader. The preloader shows up for a second after the loading is done and the movie starts.

Is there a change in the policy file required for Flash Player 10 ? I have it setup so that when my (home-brewed) server receives "<policy-file-request/>" I send back the xml data, which worked perfectly with Flash Player 9, but does not work with 10.Does the policy file itself need to be changed or can I no longer send it the way I am (and instead use that port 843 method) ?

Im trying to make a projector movie that links to a pdf (in the same folder) on a CD that needs to run in both windows and mac. Im able to get it to work on a pc but not on mac. here is the code for the button i used in the projector.

and bat file open a pdf file.so i want to do the same thing for mac, that is using the fscommand to open up a pdf in acrobat. I read messages here that use applescript but i dont understand it too well so what id like to know if possible is the applescript, what it does and do i apply it to the button in my projector or do i tell the button to look at the applescript or what? I guess thats it for now.

We're making a viral video which is going to be distributed as FLV movie file free for download and redistribution.
I don't know much about flash yet but I can imagine FLV is just some sort of special flash application which can also include arbitrary code.
Is it possible to track how many times that movie file has been played by letting the FLV file perform a server-callback when playback begins?

I am trying to get some dyanmic text fields to work in my flash movie. I got one to work and have had trouble getting more than one. I think I kinda got it but it works but works funny. I am trying to load text in two different places. When I click on the first instance (Philosophy Section) nothing shows up. When I check the other instance (Eco_Conscience) the text shows up and then when I go back to the Philosophy Section it works. BUT it doesn't work on the first try. I am attaching code and link.
