In order to adapt to my needs i made it a movie with a drag and drop parameter to be loaded in another movie (with loadMovie or loadMovieNum). The problem is than the movie loads, drags but doesnt drops. Even i tried with the example movie and nothing happens.

Dec 8, 2009I am not sure what is the difference between externally and dynamically loading pages, but I have created swf files for each of my pages and then a main page that those swfs get loaded into. The problem I am having is: I have transitions between my pages and my movie clip will animate when it is in the page swf, but not when it is in the main file.

Dec 3, 2009I'm currently making an animation which will eventually exceed the 16,000 frame limit (don't ask haha), so, short of making two movies and having to just start up the next one, what is the code for loading a movie? I presume they need to be in the same directory? So basically all I want is on the last frame of the movie the code executes and the second movie file opens up and starts. I guess I'd want the current movie to close, too.

Apr 23, 2009I've got this weird problem with one of my Flash projects.At first it was working fine.And then i decided to externalize the actionscript.On the root, there is a movieclip, wich holds a button.When another button is hit, the movieclip appears (goes to frame 2) and displays the other button (only on frame 2).It worked fine, but since i moved the code frome the swf to an AS-file the button in the movieclip doesn't respond at all.For clearer explaining i made a very basic flash-file.Main button (on root): main_btnMain movieclip (on root): test_mc Button in movieclip: test_btn.[code]

Please help me regarding this issue.Suppose, I have created a simple flash application(say, Test1.fla & Test1.swf file has been generated and works fine). Now, I need to use this swf file in my Java application as son as a menu-item is selected/gets clicked by the user.
But, when I run my whole application in IE7 browser window, If I select the Flash menuitem by clicking on it, then no flash file[viz., contents of Test1.swf file] gets visible.Instead a blank page without any conents is displlayed. In addition to this, it don't/doesn't display any message like this:" Install Flash Player to view the contents of swf file you need."

on the 1st i have some XML code
in the 2nd i read the XML and send to the 3rd frame and play a FLV movie. when the FLV movie ends, if goes back to the 2nd frame to "know" what is the next movie and goes again to the 3rd frame.
When i export everything is OK, when i publish and use the Mac Projector it is ok. But if i use the Fullscreen Mode, when the movie end's the Movie doesnt go back to the 2nd frame...

Sep 3, 2009using an old file that utilizes actionscript 1.0. I tried placing a video component into the file and it doesn't work. This leads me to believe I need to convert my old actionscript 1.0 to at least 2.0. The old actionscript simply moves a movieclip at certain intervals when the play button is pressed or the slider bar is dragged. When I exported the movie using 2.0, the following errors occurred in the compile errors box.Here is my actionscript that causes these errors.

Nov 4, 2009I built a site, and most of the content is pulling from an XML file. I think format some of that text with a css style sheet. When I publish this out on a powerbook running 10.5 with the first release of flash cs4 it works.But when I try to publish the same file on a new macbook pro or iMac the css doesn't work for me. Has anyone run into this kind of problem before?

Aug 30, 2009This is just plain weird to me.This is part of a loop that creates text fields. The movie clip is of course named numholder_mc.

If I create an empty movie clip "manually" on the stage and instance name it numholder_mc, then this code does not work.
However, if create an empty movie clip using actionscript, it works just fine!

Anyone have any ideas on this one? Its just weird.

Aug 13, 2004[MX] I'm loading an infinitly scrolling swf into my main swf. When it loads however it doesn't work properly, because all the pixel values in the origonal code do not match for its location in the main movie. I know I can change the AS with new value and make it work, but I am wondering if there is another way. I'd like to be able to move it around and always have it work without changing it. Is there a way I can have the loaded swf retain its OWN origonal x,y cords? or some other method of doing this?
