Actionscript 3 - Limit Flash Movie To Work Only On Single Domain?
Nov 27, 2010
How can I limit flash movie to work only on single domain. For eg what I need to do if I want flash swf to work only on [URL]and it should not work if -
1. opened/embedded from other [URL]
2. Downloaded
3. opened in embedded IE Activex Controls
Flash cross-domain policy files only allow you to specify allow-domain-from tags.I'd like to know if there is a way to limit access as if the tag read allow-domain-to. In other words:[URL]...
Is it possible to achieve this without resorting to creating a special sub domain for flash callbacks?
I have a flash accordion embedded using SWFObject. The SWF and related XML file are hosted on one domain. I have about 10 sites embedding this SWF from it's hosted location, both the SWF and the XML. The accordion links to various pages of my domains. The domain in which the SWF and XML file are hosted, the links work as expected. The other domains that the SWF is not hosted on, the links do not work at all. I verified it's a cross domain issue by placing the SWF and XML files locally on each domain and they worked, but this is not how I want it setup. I attempted to use crossdomain.xml and allow access from all hosts but that didn't work either.
is there a limit to the amount of things you can ask AS3 to do in a single frame? right now i have 10 buttons in a frame, each pulls a url for a link from an external xml. however, they only actually link if only 5 of them exisit in as3.
I have moved a web application from old domain to new domain. I cannot get Flash to engage. I have changed the domain in flash_images.php file to the new domain. I have a flash_box.swf file and I have a js file these are the only flash components that I see--old domain is e.g. www.example.com new domain is [URL]..I am not a flash developer, how do I get flash to work on the new domain?
how to stop a single movie clip in flash and other movie clips still looping. I tried stop(); and myclipname.stop(); both are not working. I attached a simple file,
I created some game and would like to let the users play it only on my domain, so to forbid to play it offline or put on some other site. Is there a way to do it? Somehow check domain or so?
I created a "movie" that is basically just several sentances fading in and out. I'd like it to stop eventually, so it's not annoying. I know with animated gifs you can tell it to "play" 5 times (or however many times you want). Is there a way to do this in Flash? Or would it be something I set on my html page?
Can anybody tell me if it is possible to limit the bandwidth or screen refresh rate that a flash movie uses? I have a large number of virtual desktops which use RDP and flash performance is terrible.
If I look at a site in IE that use lots of flash, my RDP session can even hang sometimes or more likely become completely unusable.
I've made a game for viceland, and as always when you make a good game, lousy free-game-portals plain steals it and puts it on their site.So now i'm trying to take a few actions to prevent this from happening. One thing is that i'd like the swf to check which domain it's being viewed on. I thought you could check which domain the html/php is on somewhere using SYSTEM.SECURITY or something. But i don't find any.
I'm using the method described in the link to implement a crossbrowser tracking with flash.Everything is working fine when all pieces are together in the same server, but for deploy, i really need to add the swf from our central server, to another different one. Just to simplify this is my html in :
This is a two fold query involving the same issue. As you know, if you attempt to use bitmap.draw() with an object (image or swf) that is not in the same domain as the calling swf the bitmap will not draw. As described by Adobe livedocs, if Security.allowDomain() is setup in the calling swf then draw() will work. However, I cannot get this method to work. I have supplied an example fla (make sure to get the .as for it too).
1. How do I get Security settings right to permit bitmap.draw() to work with objects from another domain? (not any domain - just the domain I define in the allowDomain parameter)
2. How do I setup an event handler (listener) for bitmap.draw() so I can detect when it doesn't draw?
I've made a movie with nested movie clips. The movie is assembled in a single framework i.e in the main stage (Frame one scene one ). The movie includes more that 50 navigational components and elements for better user interaction. The problem is I've to reset the movie in a single button click. Is there any build in function in flash to restart the movie without exiting

I have 8 flash movies, each with 3 scenes within each one. What is the most effective way (by which I mean, takes the least amount of time to implement and produces a file without each and every object used in the library) to combine these 24 scenes into a single flash file so that they play consecutively and can be exported as a single SWF?EDIT: I know there is a method whereby you select all frames in each scene and convert these frames to a movie clip, however the main document then inherits all the objects from each MC in its library- this seems a cluttered approach. Is there a better way?
When i click the movieclip, i call a function that return an array, then i create amovieclip (mc_container) with a number of textfield (number based on array lenght) on it.Now, if i click one time only i get the mc_container without any textfield, while if i click twice i get the mc_container with all the text field. How come?
post the code for a working cross-domain securityfile that allows access only from the same domain as all the flashfiles and xml files are in?used to be easy in as2 but i think i dont know what i need to know about it in as3..
We are running FMS3 on Windows 2003 Server. Videos stream and play fine when inside our domain, but outside the domain the videos take anywhere from 20 or more seconds before playing.
After analizing the connections it was determined that the player is randomly trying to access ports until it gets to the one that works, but this is ONLY happening from people trying to view videos from outside our domain.
I have to build one MXP package for Flash (not Flex). But i have multiple components, somthing like HelpSymbolMovieClips(have its on class), one image holder. etc. I need to combine there swc file into a single MXP file. How can i make a all these multi movieClip functionality in a single SWC file. Am bit confused about the structure of the component which is having multiple functions/MoiveClips. like (Image gallery components.
I have a character, every body part is a movieclip. Now I wanted to put a movieclip for the eyes inside of the headmovieclip so that I can change them independently from the mouth. So in the eye-movieclip that is inside of the head-movieclip I put two keyframes, one for opened eyes and one for closed eyes. I put it to "Single frame" in properties. Now, whenever I make a pose and I change the frame number under properties so that it displays the closed eyes, it does that for the whole movie, not only on the frames that I changed it.
I wanted to use that to control things like eyes, ears and the mouth individually but like this it won't work, it changes it for the whole animation.
I've created a flash banner for my website. This banner starts with an animation of text and the logo fading into frame. What I would like to do, once the introduction animation has played through, is periodically have the logo pulsate.I'd like to do this without obviously looping the entire animation. How would I set it to just loop a single movie in my scene.
