ActionScript 1/2 :: Loop Single Animation Within A Movie?
Feb 23, 2011
I've created a flash banner for my website. This banner starts with an animation of text and the logo fading into frame.What I would like to do, once the introduction animation has played through, is periodically have the logo pulsate.I'd like to do this without obviously looping the entire animation. How would I set it to just loop a single movie in my scene.
ok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.
so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.
I'm new to flash and I'm working on an animation project for my class. I decided to do half of it as single cell animation and half of it using tweens and whatnot. The parts that are single celled are moving WAY to fast and are throwing off the flow with my tweens. It's a requirement of the project to have atleast 20 fps and I don't have enough time to dedicate to drawing tons of more cells. For example, I have one animation made up of 40 frames and it needs to be stretched to about 100 frames. I've tried copying all of the cells into a movie clip and attaching a stop(); method at the final frame in the movie clip, then importing that into my movie and stretching it to the length i need, but it just runs at the normal animation rate and then stops until the timeline gets to where it's time for the next event or scene to take place. It sort of looks like i need to find a way to control the fps of my movie clip independently of the entire movie, but how would i go about that?
i want to apply some animation (like fly from left) to all the character of paragraph text.for this, i have created a movie clip with only one character (suppose "A") and done some animation like first it flies from left then it rotates and gets fade off and on.Now i have a paragraph in another movie clip and of course it contains lots of characters (more than 200) so it is not possible to apply same animation to all the characters individually making layers.
I have added an image to the stage and I simply want to scroll from left to right across the image and then once it reaches the end of the image, it should restart the process of scrolling... The image then would loop in one seamless and continuous motion... The name of the Symbol is slider.I came across the following line of code:
slider.x = slider.x-1;
This does in fact accomplish the initial objective of initiating the scrolling process... The problem is that the script is not aware of the end of the image so it simply continues looping into white space...I have attempted to learn how to identify the width of an object and then to restart the scrolling process but without luck..
Side Note: It is my understanding that I have to use Actionscript 3.0 in order to manipulate images with a width of 4725 pixels...
there are 11 buttons in my stage which is called button0,button1,....button10, i want add addlistener for all buttons through a single loop. here i have attached my code,But its not working.What is the mistake.
ActionScript Code: var count:Number = 11; var temp:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
I have created a character for animation in illustrator and saved each symbol nessesary as a movie clip.After finally coming up with a decent animation everything seemed fine and exporting as a .swf looked great. When trying to export as a .gif however I get a singal non animated image. I've been looking for a simple answer to this problem such as Radtool converting a .swf or.avi to a gif and it give me a file not found error. I've attempted turning all of my symbols into graphics and I get a single image when I try to view it in flash (ctrl + enter). I've tried saving it as a bitmap and batching in photoshop with more error. I've tried going into flashes publish setting and saving an animated gif. Every export format I choose seems to give me a single non animated image except for .swf.
I currently have 6 scenes in my current movie. It's going to be an online portfolio and each page is a section of the portfolio. However, I have an animated background (400 frames long) that I want to be played throughout the entire site. Of course, when I try and do this the animation resets every time the scene changes. The best I could do so far is to have it running on every page this way but like i said, it resets every time the scene changes. Is it possible to set this background to run smoothly through the portfolio without resetting?
I am working on Drawing API. There is a movieclip on stage which I am animating using Tween class. I just want to draw a line from the initial position of a the movieclip to it's final position. I can draw line, but I can see the lines being duplicated each time the enterframe runs. I just want a single line do be drawn from the movieclip's initial position to it's final position.
Here is my code
Code: import mx.transitions.Tween; import mx.transitions.easing.*; var myTween:Tween = new Tween(circ0_mc, "_x", Strong.easeOut, circ0_mc._x, 0, 2,
I have the following code with which I am creating a grid.what I need to do is, either create the grid in a random order at the beginning, or 'shuffle' the grid once it has been created.. meaning each time I load the page the order is changed..
for (var i:uint = 0; i< boxNum; i++) { var animatedButton = new AnimatedButton(); animatedButton.x = animatedButton.width * (i % cols); animatedButton.y = animatedButton.height * int(i / cols); grid.addChild(animatedButton).name = "m" + (i + 1); }
I'm using AS3, and have one simple layer with 4 keyframes If I import it to another fla file as a library item, it keeps showing me all keyframes, I don't want that I want it to show me the whole animation.
Like, if I have an animation of me swinging a baseball bat, I don't want to see all the keyframes seperately imported into the library, but I want it to be all in one piece, so that when I click play it plays all keyframes.
I am working is CS3 and am experiencing problems changing the first frame on a graphic symbol. When I type in a new number it jumps back to the old one. When I try to change play once/loop/single frame setting it jumps back to the previous setting. I am trying to simply modify this on a keyframe in the symbol's layer on the main stage. I've experienced this on multiple occasions, but can't get the workaround this time. I know I can do what I am attempting. In fact, I do it at a couple of spots earlier in this symbol's instance without problems.
My goal is to get a single stroke to animate randomly every time I open the animation. My code seems to be creating a new strokes during the animation causing them to stack on top of each other. This animation would work if only the previous stroke did not multiply.
Okay, now things are getting a little complicated. I need to build a Flash object that can sit over the corner of an image to serve extra content. It's way beyond my Flash skill level, my work is usually limited to print work in Photoshop and Illustrator so please excuse me if any of the following isn't clear. I am trying to learn though, So this is how it's all supposed to work, along with my issues; When the image & Flash item load a small looping animation will play to draw the eye/show the item as interactive.
When the user rolls over this the corner will peelback. I have a working peelback animation for the rollover, that reacts to mouse over/mouse off, and a looping animation for the initial, but I cannot work out how to make the initial loop until mouseover, then play the peelback when the mouse is over. And go back to the initial animation loop if the user rolls off. (Each of these animations is stored as a movie clip in the Library) Then it gets more complicated... if the user stays on the corner until it is fully peeled back I need to make a small countdown (sort of a 3, 2, 1 situation) show, before launching a lightbox (would this have to be jQuery, or could it be done in Flash?) in the browser to serve the content.
just trace out the data within the "item tag" below. I can trace out the three at the top but can't get into the items. Having it nested like this is giving me problems. I would really like it to loop through the items and display each in a single text field.
how to stop a single movie clip in flash and other movie clips still looping. I tried stop(); and myclipname.stop(); both are not working. I attached a simple file,
I'm trying to create a loop which generates a single series of sine results ranging from 0 to 1 based on 100 loops ( ie 0 ,0.011 ,0.1111........up to 1 in a single run)The results I want start at 0 and increment in a series up to 1 and then stop. I suppose this would be one half of a sine wave I have tried the following but it goes from 0 to 1 ,1 to 0 , 0 to 1 etc whereas I want a single straight run of 100 values from 0 to 1
Im an Industrial Design student that has never really used any Flash before but need to use it now to mock up an interface design for a product/service I'm developing for my major project.
So far, in ActionScript 2.0, I have a picture of a TV and remote control and intend to design the interface over the top of the television picture and highlight buttons on the remote beside it, that the moderator can click to navigate around it.
To get across the idea that the interface pops up over the existing moving television picture I have imported an FLV of some television ads. My problem is that I want the Flash animation (everything but the FLV if you like) to pause and not loop, and the FLV to continue playing (and looping) in the background, but can't figure out how to do it. Ideally the FLV needs to continue playing, seamlessly behind the interface after the next button is clicked etc.
Wherever I seem to put a stop(); action it'll stop everything, including the FLV, and if I just extend the timeframe to the length of the video, it'll still stop at the end or just loop to the beginning of the entire SWF.
I have a logo which animates one time and stops. What I would like is, it should loop every 5 seconds interval. The following is the action scipt 3 written in the flash document.
I'm new to flash and this is my first animation... I'm making it in CS5 using AS2 and it features a snail with a movement loop. The loop is in the library as a movie clip, it has 3 layers and is 19 frames long. Because it is a snail in the loop it ends in a different place then it started. The snail has to move along 97 frames after each movement. I thought I could do this within the movie clip using some actionscript on frame 1 but I haven't really got to grips with actionscript so I was wondering how I should go about moving it every time the loop restarts.
I am producing a banner ad and I need to have this 15 second animation loop two times (for a total of 30 seconds) and then stop. If this does call for AS?
I've been using the Adobe CS5 collection for nearly a year now but today is the first day I've decided to give Flash Professional a go.I'd tried creating a looping animation in Flash Catalyst but have had no luck at all (I'd followed a couple of suggestions such as using an flv movie as a timer but nothing seems to work for some reason), so I thought I would do it the proper way in Flash Professional.So far I have figured out how to import images, convert them to symbols,create a motion tween with key frames and do the animation. All this is good, but now I want the animation to jump back to a few seconds after the movie begins and play until the end,then jump back to that point again.Basically when the animation first starts it fades in for a half second or so,and went I want it to loop around I want this fade in missed out.
ok so im having an issue with Flash CS5.I have a sound looping, and my animation is only 13 frames long, while the song is like a minute long, so each time the animation loops threw the default "Loop Playback" a new sound audio is played which os overlapping the previous over and over causing a massive echo effect.Whats the best way to loop both of them insync, or atleast copy and paste the animations frames and make it the length of the song?
