ActionScript 2.0 :: Controlling 4 Variables Result

I have a movieclip containing 4 rotating handles. When the four handles linked with a variable returns a certain value, a door opens. I've tried to use && operator, in this way:

this doesn't function because && operator just compare two expressions, and no more than two (that is the function will function if I limit it to control just (_root.gira1>0) && (_root.gira2>0)) How can I replace this simple code with a 4-variables controlling one? A for cycle will be the solution?

I have written some code to read and compare variables and then to jump to a particular frame based on the results (pretty simple stuff). It works fine when I use a button to trigger the code but I want it to happen automatically.
I have tried using the OnEnterFrame thingy but it doesn't work and I tried just placing the code on frame 1 and letting it do its thang but that didn't work either....
I'm using the .swf in a third party program and using the API for that program to supply the values.

I'm trying to develop a simple as3 flash program that passes a collection a variables and returns a result based on the filtered results of a mysql table. Here is my as3 file:

No value is returned. If I replace with '$test4' and '$test5' with numbers such as 1 and 17, a value is returned. Where am I making a mistake?

I want to replicate the movement of the movie found on [URL] (under collections) where once u press the collection name, movie gradually loads, then if u press another button the movie on stage first unloads and than new movie appears and gradually loads and so on.
I have tried to solve this problem using variable, to tell the movie on stage what to do.....But
I have a problem controlling my MC using _global variable.
I'll try to explain:
I have created empty MC where I attach movie from my library using buttons.
Works fine.
_root.emptymc.attachMovie("attachedmc","attachedmc ",10);
Another button is used to issue command to attached MC to continue playing.
Works fine with this command:
_root.emptymc.attachedmc.gotoAndPlay(21);
Maybe I got the whole idea wrong, but I assumed that if I create _global.somename = "attachedmc" I will be able to issue the following command:
_root.emptymc.somename.gotoAndPlay(21);
But this doesn't work at all.

I have two buttons (a and b) and a ball movie clip (ballMove) on the screen.This is what I want to happen:The ball starts off under button A. If you click button A, the ball stays where it is. If you click button B, the ball moves over to button B.When the ball is under button B it won't move if B if clicked, but will move to A if A is clicked.How I plan on doing this is within the ball movie there will be three motion tweens, staggered so they don't overlap. The first isn't a tween at all, actually. It is one key frame at the very start of the movie timeline. I have labelled it "beginning". Also, it has a stop action and var busbus = 1. Bus is the variable I want to use to track the position of the ball.
The next tween is the ball travelling from point a to b. The start frame is labelled "atobbegin". There is a keyframe at the end labelled "atobeend". A stop action is on this keyframe, and also bus = 4.The final tween is the ball travelling from point b to point a. The start frame is labelled "btoabegin" and the end keyframe is labelled "btoaend" with a stop action and bus = 8.Eek, just got Deja Vu.er, moving right along....
On button A I have assigned these actions:

I ams still experiencing some problems with ActionScript 3 and flash and I think it is because of variable scopes what I am trying to do is to make this code iterate exactly same number of times as flash does but the problem is again variable scopes here so please if you have time could you help me with converting it to c#?

XML is cool in flex, but I have an annoying problem to solve, caused by what I can imagine is a feature. You see, when you have just one tag of something, it creates an object which is not an array. But when finds more than one, it puts it on an array structure.[code]I could check the format of resObj.specifictag (to check if it is has an array) and then duplicate the code (for each case). But -even if it's calling a function- I don't think it is an elegant solution.Well, I hope someone has a good idea on this matter. (I know from experience that SO has much more C++ experts than flex, but well...)The perfect thing would be that HTTPrequest handled every tag in a consistent way (using always arrays... though I'm guessing that that would also have its drawbacks).

I need to make a SWF that should show some data from the DB. The DB will be read using PHP.I was thinking that the SWF would get the data by accessing "data.php" and data.php will read from the DB. The SWF would read the XML/JSON/RAW DATA from that file and update it's variables.

I am trying to create a weekly calendar. I have a 'switch' statement that shows the week dates and the name of month the week relates too. I have three functions
1. takes the pc date and converts it into the day of the year. eg between 1 and 365
2. it takes the day from 1. and assoicates it to the week number eg 1 - 52
3. functions that are associated with a previous and next button that use the current week number based on the pc date and count up and down.
This is where I have come unstuck. This is the code for my 'next' button.

Below is my code and it is working. What I need to know is how to setup multiple passwords for one result. So look at the first four actions.. they go to the same page. I also want it to go if it is small caps verses large. How do I put all in one statement or do I have to do it this way. How do I put this in a text file if I have multiple passwords going to different pages. So as you see below if they put in password1,PASSWORD1,cash,CASH this all goes to page1.html If this put in password2,PASSWORD2 it goes to page2.html[code]...

I have coded a map that when a province object is clicked on, it should move to the center of the screen and grow a percentage of the width, along with displaying a number of different things.
The problem is that in order for the image to resize it needs to be clicked on twice. It moves, and all of the children display just as they were designed to do, but the resize doesn't work on the first click.

I need to make a function that execute a java method and return his result. It is static becouse a lot of other functions will call this function. So I did this:

I really don't understand how the results I get are possible.Here's my code:

my code somehow manages to say that the result of 66.6 + 33.3 = 99.89999999999999
It might be possible in some alternate universe, but here on earth, I should get a result of 99.9... I'm really hoping one of you can explain to me why Flash returns that result, cause really, I'm at a loss here... this line:

I'm creating a login in Flash that connects to a MySql database through PHP.I'm using sendAndLoad() and the variables are being send to PHP without any prolems, however it does not seem to be returning any info resulting in a "invalid username/pass" message.I'm fairly sure the problem lies in the PHP but not too sure where! Do I have to declare the result_lv variable in the PHP somewhere? How and where?

we use "document.write" in javascript, similarly i use "trace" in flash. But, what if i want it to get displayed in the swf itself. Will i have to use a "dynamic text box" (if yes, how) like writing " mytxtbox.text= ..." or what else is the way. The point being that the result that gets displyed in the output panel because of trace should come in the 'swf' so that someone using the swf to test would not need my .fla
