ActionScript 2.0 :: Photo Gallery - Pictures Are Not Loading When Open Default.swf And Then Navigating To The Section Work

Feb 19, 2007

I want to say that the code I am working with is the same found here: [URL] The code is working perfectly (pictures are displaying) when opening the file, work_diesel.swf by itself. However, my problems occur when I open default.swf, and then navigating to the section work. From there I hit advertising, and in that section DIESEL. HERE is where the problem is visible. The pictures are not loading AT ALL when doing it this way (the correct and final way).

I am just wondering if anyone can pin point the problem for me so I can change it. It must be said that the work_diesel.swf is loading from an external source into default.swf.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Create A Dynamic Photo Gallery

Oct 28, 2010

I'm looking for a lightweight, simple way to create a dynamic photo gallery, with specification. Basically, I have 55 head shots arranged like a yearbook page. I want someone to be able to click on an image, and have a window pop-up that shows the photo, plus additional text information. (I'm pretty sure I can create 55 frames and put an image on each one, but that is bulky, I do not want to go clicking around to different frames on the timeline,) I was hoping there was an alpha/tweening option, or an xml option.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Create The Simple Photo Gallery With Thumbnails?

I'm trying to create the simple photo gallery with thumbnails which is in the tutorial Adding Thumbnails, but I'm having a bit of a problem. I've just done the Photo Gallery Using XML and Flash tutorial [URL] which worked perfectly . I've then gone on to the Adding Thumbnails tutorial, [URL] which follows on.I've been working my way throught the tutorial, but when I get to point ix. on page three, I don't get the thumbnails loading at all. I have checked, and double checked the code I have, and I've copied the code from the tutorial assuming that this is right, but nothing appears to work.I'm using Flash MX, not MX 2004.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Reload / Refresh Gallery On Clicking Button?

Oct 14, 2011

I have a photo gallery that runs in a container, which is added to the stage like so:

import com.xmlphotoalbum.*;
var gallery:XmlPhotoAlbum = new XmlPhotoAlbum();
gallery_container.addChild(gallery);

I want to have it set up so when you click on a "gallery" button, it reloads/refreshes the gallery to its initial state, because the "internal" navigation of the gallery isn't very intuitive...and so the only thing I can think of is essentially to remove the gallery and re-add it, whenever "gallery" button is clicked, which resets the gallery to its initial thumbnail view. I've tried fumbling around with removeChild, addChild, simple if statements, etc.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Create Photo Gallery And Load Pictures And Comments Via XML

Jul 30, 2007

[URL]. It's a tutorial that shows how to create a photo gallery and load the pictures and comments via XML. My problem is the following, the gallery and everything works well, but I when I try to load it into a container then everything messes up. Here's what I have: I have a main movie (the main .swf file) with a container in it, when clicking on one of the buttons from that movie the gallery.swf loads into the container (the gallery is the exact gallery from the tutorial) and it works well, until I press the button to load it again.

It seems that it messes up the value of "p". I tried tracking it, on the first load it tracks normally p=1, 2, 3, 4.... but on the second load it reacts as if it's double tracking it p=0 1, 2 2, 3 3, 2 4 ... It seems that Flash somehow keeps the old value of "p" in mind. I tried reseting it somehow or something but I can't seem to make it work (or maybe I have to rebuild the whole thing?).

It works perfectly if I load it only once but if I load the gallery.swf twice or more times then it goes crazy (or since I have more buttons on the stage, after pressing one and coming back to the gallery, it does the same, it's messed up). How can I "reset" the value of 0 on every load or something? I even tried playing around with unloadMovie but can't figure out how to use it.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Photo Gallery - How To Go Forward On Button Release

Mar 23, 2005

I am a bit confused on doing a photo galery.... I want to set one up. I want to alpha out one photo and alpha in another on a button release. I know how to go forward on a button release for timeline sake but I don't know how to go to the previous picture when the previous button is clicked. Is there a way to play the timeline backwards or is the xml way the only way. If the xml is the only way than how to set my own photos into the code or link my photos to the code.
