I have been trying to create a simple quiz with a drop down menu
i have 8 errors and I cant figure out how to correct them so the way this quiz is suppose to work is you select the right answer goes to a congrads page
im trying to create a simple drop down menu. this is the code I have typed out so far.

What I am trying to acheive is that when the mouse rolls off the button, the menu disappears, the same when the mouse rolls of the menu, the sticking point is the rolling off the button to make the menu disappear.
I'm looking to create a simple quiz which adds up points depending on the answer selected.where to read about creating something like this?
View 10 RepliesI'm having a bit of trouble getting a button in a hoover over drop down menu to link to another scene in the .swf movie. I just doing a basic drop down menu (example here: [URL] with a couple of buttons with in a movie clip, the movie clip being the "button" someone hoovers over. The buttons however are not going to the corrisponding scene I have them set up to. What's strange is that if I set in the buttons action panel to go to an url instead of a scene, in the .swf movie the button works when I click it...it wants to go the specificed url. Nothing happens when it's set to go to a scene.

Everytime you get a right answer it should increment 2points But when you get all 3 answers correct i get a final score of 4points
trying to make a 3 question quiz on a 300x250 banner in flash.. If 2 of 3 questions are answered 'yes', it's should relay one function (playEndScreenYes()). If 2 of 3 questions are answered 'no', it should relay another function. (playEndScreenNo()). This is clearly a situation calling for the if / then statement. I have it set up, but I can't seem to get it working. I would gladly pay you for an hour of your time today, if you are familiar with if / then conditionals, I think you could look at my code and solve the problem in 10 minutes max. I am a seasoned flash designer and I animate with as2, but I can't wrap my head around this and its making me a little nuts.

I have a question regarding an if/else statement I am creating for a simple quiz test in Flash ActionScript 2.0. I have the .FLA file attached. main stage I have the following: of "yes" and "no" with keyframes to jump a message to the user about if their answer was correct or notMy button has the following script:

Am I not doing this correct? Everytime I type yes into the input box, it jumps me to my "no" label. I have researched, and I am doing something so simple and wrong, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".

View 2 Repliesi was wondering if anyone has a simple drag and drop quiz. I did use wondershare to make it, but found i cant use it in my site as its 3.0 and not 2.0
Also used articulate quiz maker, but that includes annoying headings and an interface which can't be removed.
All i want is simply one side with 6 boxes and another with 6 boxes and matching the boxes, and then a submit button which tells the user if they have passed or failed etc.
I know there are quite a few examples of drag and drop quizzes but what I need is a tad bit different. I will have a list of answers that a user must put in the correct order in some slots. When the user drags a particular answer onto a slot even if it isn't exactly on top but nearby, the target will sense this and snap the answer into the slot. The user can change the order at anytime.

Ok at this site it has exactly the snap motion to the target that I wanted. Although I don't need the feature where the movieclip goes back to it's original location if it is not placed in the correct target. In fact I can't have that because the quiz results will tell the user after they finish putting their answers in the order they believe to be correct, whether or not their order of answers was correct after they click the submit button.
I am trying to create a quiz in Adobe Flash CS3 using Drag and Drop Feature. I have created similar Drag items and I want to drag the item and place it into any target. For Ex. I want Drag1, Drag2, Drag3, Drag4, Drag5 should go to any target from Target1, Target2, Target3, Target4, Target5. The objects on Drag1 through Drag5 is similar like I am working on number system. So I want the Drag boxes to go to any place values into the target boxes. But the drag and target instance names should be unique and should be mentioned in the component inspector also.

I am trying to figure out how to get the submenus to push the rest of the main menu down on rollover kind of like this. Not sure where to start to get the AS to get the button created fromt he XML nodes to move down.I haven't changed the code found int he tut too much and the menu works fine except that the rollovers just go over the main menu.

View 12 RepliesEach time I make a drop down menu I face some problems, For example, when I use tweening to roll out a menu ( via ROLL_OVER/ ROLL_OUT), sometimes the menu gets stuck, or starts flickering after it is rolled out if I move the cursor away, and move back on it.
How could I solve this, should I use a timer to disable the button until the tween finishes (or this would be good for nothing)?

How I can make a simple personality quiz in Flash? I've been searching for months for quiz/test codes, tutorials, examples, etc...but I can't find one that would work for a quiz with no "right" or "wrong" answer.
Basically what I want to do is have the user click on statements that they agree with, or answer questions that would lead to one of two possible results.
