ActionScript 3.0 :: Multiple Choice Questions Quiz - Conditional Answer Checking

Jun 7, 2010

I'm working on a quiz-style piece right now and in short it's several pages of multi choice questions, each rewarding a certain point amount that is added up at the end and given specific results based on the point range scored. (i.e. 10-20 = good, 21-30 = great... etc)

For code I've stopped here:
if (answercheck == 40 - 52){
trace("Feedback: Range 40 - 52");
form.gotoAndStop(3);
form.AnswerTotal.Number = answercheck;
}

Answercheck is the var with the total points accumulated. Form is the mc with the feedback frames based on their point totals. AnswerTotal is the dynamic text box I'm trying to load the exact point total the user acquired into at the end.

For my project i am creating a quiz on the Romans. There are only three questions that the user must answer with three possible answers in frames 3,4 and 5.I want to know the code that would help me to allow a Jpeg (an evaluation of the answer given on each frame) to be placed on frame 6 ready for the user to receive feedback for each answer they have given. So when the user selects an answer, the corresponding jpeg to that answer is placed ready on frame 6 for their arrival after they have answered the third question.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Stop On Frame Label Depending On Random Maths Answer?

Mar 9, 2012

im working on a maths style jigsaw, and ive come across a problem of sorts, ive set random1_txt.text to 1 and random1_txt.text to 2 for testing, basically i want to randomise two textfields between 1 and 10, and also randomise the sign between either a - or a +

the answer can be computed by flash, now what i need it to do is stop on the frame number of the answer in answer_mc, these frames contain graphics of all numbers 1-20 in alpha format, this is so that the answer is in place, now the user can drag and drop movieclips into the answer box, and receive a correct or incorrect response

im at a loss on how to do this, i havent gotten around to randomising the sign as of yet i need to do more research but the general idea is as above

Code:
var startX:Number; //start of draggable piece
var startY:Number;
random1_txt.text = "1"

ActionScript 2.0 :: Set A Simple E-form That Adds Up Prices And Then Mails Results

Jan 21, 2004

I am new to server side applications and I have been working my brains out on an e-form project.Tried several tutorials and examples that were quite useful in getting me familiar with cfm, php etc. but still can't complete my project.What I want to do: set a simple e-form that adds up prices and then mails the results. No billing, no credit card security stuff involved, just sending the info to the store manager who will use it to invoice.So far, I have a basic form that adds up the items using static, input and dynamic text fields. I also have a simple e-mail form. They both work fine but I need to combine the two. Somehow incorporate the e-mail functions to the "shopping kart" form and email them.

Read In A Xml File To Create Content For A Quiz?

I am writing a class in AS 3.0 to read in a xml file to create content for a quiz. Once I instantiate the xml obj and pass in a string that determines the xml name in the constructor for the xml class I read in the xml and populate some arrays. Evidently in AS 3.0 you have listeners for reading in xml, which is the problem I am having. Once the object is instantiated I try to call on a method called getArray, but the XML hasnt finished being read in and I get a compile error. Error below: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.at xmlReader_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()
