Professional :: Interactive Quiz - Three Questions That The User Must Answer With Three Possible Answers In Frames 3,4 And 5?
Feb 10, 2010
For my project i am creating a quiz on the Romans. There are only three questions that the user must answer with three possible answers in frames 3,4 and 5.I want to know the code that would help me to allow a Jpeg (an evaluation of the answer given on each frame) to be placed on frame 6 ready for the user to receive feedback for each answer they have given. So when the user selects an answer, the corresponding jpeg to that answer is placed ready on frame 6 for their arrival after they have answered the third question.
Anyone know where to start thinking about logic for an XML quiz with multiple correct answers, that when the user gets the question right, that question is removed from the random array of questions so we never need to answer it again?
I'm trying to create a simple quiz that picks questions from an XML file, then checks the answer the user enters against the answers stored in the same XML file. Every time you press blue_btn it should bring up a new question. Right now I'm stuck -- it shows only the last question in the XML file, when I enter the right answer it tells me it's wrong, and when I press blue_btn again nothing happens.
I'm working on a quiz-style piece right now and in short it's several pages of multi choice questions, each rewarding a certain point amount that is added up at the end and given specific results based on the point range scored. (i.e. 10-20 = good, 21-30 = great... etc)
For code I've stopped here: if (answercheck == 40 - 52){ trace("Feedback: Range 40 - 52"); form.gotoAndStop(3); form.AnswerTotal.Number = answercheck; }
Answercheck is the var with the total points accumulated. Form is the mc with the feedback frames based on their point totals. AnswerTotal is the dynamic text box I'm trying to load the exact point total the user acquired into at the end.
I am making a quiz what I want to do is: when the user types in the correct answer a tick appears and when they type in a wrong answer a cross appears I want this to happen on a single frame. How to make these type in boxes and how to make the above stuff happen.
i am making a quiz. My problem is that once the user completes the quiz and wants to start again the quiz is already on the last question. How do i make it so that once the user clicks start again the questions and answers arrays start from the beginning, sort of reset themselves.
I'm using CS4 and trying to create a new quiz using one of the templates.I can see how to edit it to get only Multiple Choice but I'm stuck at one thing - I can't see where to specify which choice is the correct one.
I have a project that i want to make which is a Multiple choice game containing questions and the answers is four pictures when you click on the right answer you move to next question when your are wrong a wrong sign appears i have zero knowladge about flash but i thought this is similar to Geo Challenge in facebook ,,Right ?? what software to download ? any tutorials online ?
i have a quiz with 20 questions and all of its answers in 2 different arrays. I want to know how i can make those 20 questions and the all of the answers appear in a random order when anyone takes the quiz.
I'm creating a sort of guessing game/trivia with AS 2.0. I have a popup window with a question, and four answers with a button next to each answer. The question and answers are dynamic text that are set by clicking on a "question" button.I was thinking I could do was click an answer button, which sets "current answer"... compare that with "correct answer" and do something? If it doesn't match, set the dynamic text to "wrong answer". If it's correct, then gotoAndStop(something)... I can get the answer buttons to trace their values(current answer) as I click on them, but when I try and goto () or do something based on these values (true) it seems just do whatever is in the if statement... not based on the answer being correct?Hmmm... like if I say: if (This is true)Not sure if I'm explaining this properly. But basically I have a popup window with a question. I have four answers, with buttons to select choice. I want to compare the choice/buttons pressed with a variable "correct answer" and then do something.
I wanted to randomise my quiz questions and to allow all questions to appear but no similar questions should appear twice. I tried to use arrays to do it but I kept having errors.
I have this project where I have a quiz template that I am using(as2) and I have everything exactly the way I want it except.that I need for the individual questions to hold a different value from one another.
for example
Question 1 = 10 points Question 2 = 20 points
so on and so forth
right now I have it so they are an equal percentage of the total (ie 10 questions all are worth 10 points)and I need to change thatunfortunately I am still teaching myself AS but even more unfortunate for me is that I am learning AS3 and this template is AS2 I also have not done much in this vein I have been concentrating more on UI kind of stuff and less on the math side also it makes no difference to me if this is done in AS or XML this file will not be continually updated so it can be a one time deal
I need to put together a really simple flash Quiz for this project I am working on and I am having a hell of a time figuring out a few key aspects.
1. When working with an array and an xml file, how can I assign the "correct" answer if a user selected the wrong option. Ideally I would love it to say for example " sorry, Egyptians was the correct answer" but would settle for " sorry, 3 was the correct answer" if that is easier to arrange within an array.
2. How can I make it so it marks your first answer and only your first answer (as opposed to how it is now where if you guessed wrong you can keep on guessing until it is right and it will notice the right answer and ignore the wrong)? Files attached here [URL]
I want one question to be displayed (just text) and then the user will type in their answer (just text) then they should press a button to move onto the next question to do the same. The number of questions is not set and depends on how many questions the asker has created, these are passed through flashvars from the backend database.
So can I just do this in the one frame with a loop or something going through each param in flashvar ? Or would a better way be reload the page (it's going on a website) after each question answered passing the flash a single question.
I am getting questions from the database (just text) and then passing them to flash via flash vars.I want one question to be displayed then the user will answer (text) and click a button and then the next question will be displayed for them to answer and so on.I am not hoping for overly specific advice but as I am very new to flash/actionscript am just looking for broad advice (or links ?) on how to approach this. Can I do it all from one frame just using actionscript?I think what I am really after (assuming I am not way off track) is if all the questions should be handled at once which I guess will require some kind of loop that listens for some buttonclick event to move to the next question ..... or be 'reloading' the flash movie and dealing with only 1 question at a time.
I am fairly new to AS3 so I am having a go at creating my own game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, thought a quiz game of sorts may be simplish. Right now, I am having trouble working out how to load shuffled questions. This is the code I have so far[code]...
I am currently trying to create a multiple choice quiz. Alright, what I want to do is this - I want to create a multiple choice like this, where user click the answer and they will be linked to a feedback page, telling them what is wrong with their answer. Then they can click an "OK" button to proceed to the next scene where there will be the next qns. The reason why I am not putting all in the same scene is because I need to do up a different scenario for each of the qns.
If I were to have ten qns in one scene, I was told it is "no good" by my lecturer. At the end of the ten qns, there will be a grading of points. I want the script to be able to track all correct answers despite all qns being on different scenes. Because I want the grade to show at the evaluation scene. is it possible to capture the answer user has clicked on, store to the array, store in another array as one point if it is a correct answer and click next to go to the next scene for the 2nd qns, not next frame.
I have an xml doc that has 6 categories that are colors and 4 questions that fall under each category. My question is I'm trying to create a quiz that will grab a question/answers based on a variable between 1-6 from the (6) categories in the xml doc. But the kicker is I want the user to have to choose from a different category if the 1-6 variables are different. And I need to walk down and grab a different question if they have been to blue before or maybe just a random question from the blue or green section.
Basically I want to create 6 questions with input boxes next to them for the user to inset their answer. I want them to try three times and then if not correct the answer is displayed for them. In the box with a little description next to it.
Question: How many sides as a square (answer in the box) = 4 (desc to side of box says) = A square has four equal sides.
I am quite new to actionscripting and need to create a flash based quiz. The user will have to circle the correct answer in the quiz.I do know of drag and drop function but didn't know how to create circling function.
I've got an input field called "question" where you can type whatever you want, an ASK button called "ask" and a response field called "answer". Once you enter a question and hit the ASK button I want flash to randomly reply in the "answer" field with YES, NO, MAYBE, DEFINATELY etc.
Do I need some kind of answers array to store all the answers and then call them at random into the "answers" field? Am I on the right track?
I'm making an interactive kind of game, and I want a number of scenes to change once the user has looked at each once. For example, they go into three different scenes. When they finish looking at them all, Flash records this, and then when they look back at each scene again, they've all changed.
my question is to count how many correct answer the user will enter. if the user enter the same correct answer twice, the 2 same answers will not be count and the other 2 answer will be check whether correct or wrong. If the next 2 answer is correct markk will be add. Take note that i have 5 answers for this question but the user only has to enter 4 of the answers only.
Adobe Flash also lets users make interactive Flash quiz. This tutorial will guide you how to create interactive drop-down multiple-choice quiz in Adobe Flash. This short tutorial is just a sample of the workflow you'll use while authoring in Adobe Flash CS4.
Step 1 - Create a new document
a. Choose File > New.
b. In the New Document dialog box, selcet Flash File (ActionScript 2.0) and then Click OK.
Step 2 - Document settings Right-click on the stage, selcet Document Properties, then the Document Properties dialog box appears. It displays the current Stage size setting as 550*400 pixels, and the Background color swatch is set to white. You can change the size and color of the Stage as you want.
Step 3 - Import image to the stage Choose File > Import > Import to Stage, and then select the image you want. You also could click Ctrl+R to import image.
Step 4 - Add the multiple choice question to the Stage
a. Select the Text tool (T).
b. In the Property inspector (Window > Properties), select Static Text type to specify the type of text field, and then input the question " What was Michael's first song to air on MTV? ". You also could set the font size, family and color of the text.
Step 5 - Add ComboBox component
a. Select Window > Components.
b. Double-click ComboBox in the Components panel.
c. Select the component on the Stage, and name the instance name as box in the properties panel.
Step 6 - Add answer options
a. Select Window > Component Inspector. On the Component Inspector, click data, then the Value dialog box appears.
b. Click + to add answer options, and then replace the defaultValue as answer options, here the options are: thriller, billie jean, bad and the way you make me feel. After that, click OK. c. On the Component Inspector, click labels, then the Value dialog box appears. Please following the same steps above to add the values by adding the + button.

If that's too complicate to you, you could choose some 3rd party quiz makers to make multiple choice quiz for you. Wondershare QuizCreator is such a good Flash quiz maker that help you create multiple Flash quiz with ease.
My project is creating a questionnaire in Flash and then storing the user answers in an array or a database for later analysis. although i was excellent in coding when i was in college, recently i forgot many parts
I created text field. Instance name of the text field is answer_txt01. When I enter the right answer "red", it should go to frame 2. However regardless of right or wrong answer, it goes to frame 3. How do I capture the user's answer on frame 3?
