ActionScript 1/2 :: Create A Questionnaire And Store The User Answers In An Array Or A Database?
Apr 9, 2012
My project is creating a questionnaire in Flash and then storing the user answers in an array or a database for later analysis. although i was excellent in coding when i was in college, recently i forgot many parts
I've got an input field called "question" where you can type whatever you want, an ASK button called "ask" and a response field called "answer". Once you enter a question and hit the ASK button I want flash to randomly reply in the "answer" field with YES, NO, MAYBE, DEFINATELY etc.
Do I need some kind of answers array to store all the answers and then call them at random into the "answers" field? Am I on the right track?
I'm making a website for my Xbox Live clan im making it in flash and im a total N00b to anything to do with login and stuff. Can someone pretty please tell me step-by-step how to create a database that when you put your user / password in, it checks to database to check if they are a vaid user and 2) can some one tell me how to create something like an add/edit thing just for 1/2 users so i could edit stuff like about me, actually in my web broswer.
I am looking for a class that functions similar to JPEGEncoder from as3corlib, but instead of encoding a JPEG, I want to take a dynamic drawing the user has made (with animation) and output an SWF file that the user can download and playback on his/her computer.I understand how to create an SWF and store user variables that control the playback, but I want to make it all contained in a single SWF file.
I want to create an array of object so that I can store the _level I want to load image at specified level and and to keep track of levels in an array so that when any new image will be loaded I can get location of previously loaded image and place the new image before the last image
I've had the nagging thought of eventListeners vs container looping. For example, you could create a bunch of objects and store them in an array; make a loop that traverses the array and tells each object to execute a method. In contrast I could tie an eventListener to the object in it's constructor function that tells it to perform a task every frame.
What is the best way to create functions dynamically and store them inside an Array? Obviously the bellow is wrong since the array will always trace the last value of the variable "v" (5)
ActionScript Code: var funcContainer:Array=new Array(); for(var v:uint=0;v<5;v++){
my question is to count how many correct answer the user will enter. if the user enter the same correct answer twice,the 2 same answers will not be count and the other 2 answer will be check whether correct or wrong. If the next 2 answer is correct markk will be add. Take note that i have 5 answers for this question but the user only has to enter 4 of the answers only.
i want to be able to create multiple shapes and store them perhaps in an array to be able to dynamically move them and change them.is there a way to have a shape object and store it an array?so that i can do something like shapeArray[0].x =100 current code
for(var i=0; i<10; i++){ var sprite:Sprite=new Sprite(); sprite.graphics.lineStyle(1)
I am making a quiz what I want to do is: when the user types in the correct answer a tick appears and when they type in a wrong answer a cross appears I want this to happen on a single frame. How to make these type in boxes and how to make the above stuff happen.
For my project i am creating a quiz on the Romans. There are only three questions that the user must answer with three possible answers in frames 3,4 and 5.I want to know the code that would help me to allow a Jpeg (an evaluation of the answer given on each frame) to be placed on frame 6 ready for the user to receive feedback for each answer they have given. So when the user selects an answer, the corresponding jpeg to that answer is placed ready on frame 6 for their arrival after they have answered the third question.
What I want to do is pretty simple but I must not know how to do it. I want the URLFactory to create the Array and store it in the variable "dataArray" and use the Array in the Main class by calling the GetList() of the URLFactory class. What I have returns nothing.
I cannot pre-view a flash movie in a php.page. Question, How, where, do i store a swf file name and location in mySQL database and then use this data to call it in the application?
just like facebook game, I see that even I am playing facebook social game, it still have some downloading when I click on an item for the first time, or just by doing something new. Is that people can divide flash into many parts and connect them when they need?
The big thing is it has to be returned as this array of objects describing the items, because it is being passed to an external application and that is how it excepts it.
I have sections with questions and answers which I can get. But, I need to save each section into new array and tally all the final scores.The screen will show the section score of current section that was just completed and the final score.I know the code has lots of problems - attached.For the total scores the dynamic text boxes var's are totalnumcorrect, totalnumIncorrect, totaluserScore.For the section score the dynamic text boxes var's are numcorrect, totalnumIncorrect, totaluserScore.
I have this project where I have a quiz template that I am using(as2) and I have everything exactly the way I want it except.that I need for the individual questions to hold a different value from one another.
for example
Question 1 = 10 points Question 2 = 20 points
so on and so forth
right now I have it so they are an equal percentage of the total (ie 10 questions all are worth 10 points)and I need to change thatunfortunately I am still teaching myself AS but even more unfortunate for me is that I am learning AS3 and this template is AS2 I also have not done much in this vein I have been concentrating more on UI kind of stuff and less on the math side also it makes no difference to me if this is done in AS or XML this file will not be continually updated so it can be a one time deal
I need to put together a really simple flash Quiz for this project I am working on and I am having a hell of a time figuring out a few key aspects.
1. When working with an array and an xml file, how can I assign the "correct" answer if a user selected the wrong option. Ideally I would love it to say for example " sorry, Egyptians was the correct answer" but would settle for " sorry, 3 was the correct answer" if that is easier to arrange within an array.
2. How can I make it so it marks your first answer and only your first answer (as opposed to how it is now where if you guessed wrong you can keep on guessing until it is right and it will notice the right answer and ignore the wrong)? Files attached here [URL]
Is it possible to create a database driven website using these alone? Or do i need to learn any other technology? If i do then what should i learn? I know j2se for the desktop and oracle SQL/MySQL i finally got the feeling that i need to learn PHP anyway along with css and javascript. So it is fine. Also another query. Which CMS should i consider? Wordpress or Joomla?
i am making a quiz. My problem is that once the user completes the quiz and wants to start again the quiz is already on the last question. How do i make it so that once the user clicks start again the questions and answers arrays start from the beginning, sort of reset themselves.
i want to make a tour for my website there are 2 applications the first one in the site (this app made by Action script)and the second one in the server the last one made by C# store where the user reach last.
What's the standard way of storing user preferences in a Flex application for AIR? I need to store simple parameters like lists of recently opened files, window positions and sizes etc.
We are planning a desktop client application with Adobe AIR. The client app will be delivered to our customers with a database, which contains monthly updated marketing data provided by our company. As different customers will buy different sets of data from us, for example, a customer is only interested in marketing data in a specific product category, while another customer need all data in a certain region. After a customer installs this client app, new data will be emailed to the customer every month.
So, the requirement is to keep the data accessible only by the customer who bought it. After reading through AIR's secure local store and database encryption feature, I came up with the following design: each customer will have his own secret key (stored in AIR's secure local store), the secret key is used to encrypt the data that the customer has purchased. Of course, the monthly data that we sent to the customer will be encrypted using the same secret key. So my questions are: is AIR's database encryption and secure local store secure enough for this use case? If someone gets the encrypted database file, can he decrypt the DB?
Does anybody knows how to use the XML as a holder for the values that will be given by the user for example. Parent's name: _. then whatever the user's input i should move that and hold that by the xml. i just dont how. i read lot of books but i can't find any answer. This is for my senior project.URL...
Anyone know where to start thinking about logic for an XML quiz with multiple correct answers, that when the user gets the question right, that question is removed from the random array of questions so we never need to answer it again?
