I am being told that it is impossible to do because its html and flash wont allow it however, nothing is impossible there has to be a way.guide me in the steps to display an iframe inside my swf. View 13 RepliesTo display HTML formatted text in an AdvancedDataColumn, I'm using a custom renderer which is an mx:Text object. I'm setting myText.htmlText to something like "test text which is really a lot longer than the column width". No matter what properties I set though, the text just runs off the end of the column. I tried wordWrap="true" on the dataGrid and also on each individual column. I also tried messing with css and tried applying it to the text field, but nothing seems to show up. Any Way to wrap htmlText in a text object? Also, but slightly less important, there are extra blank lines after each tag which I would like to get rid of.

I've got a problem with firefox for mac and z-index.I've got 3 div: header, wrapper and footer; inside of them i've got 3 swf header.swf, wrapper.swf and footer.swf.This is the code:

the problem is that wrapper div dont work good with zindex and cant stay below the header.So rollover and rollout actions doesnt work!
I'm designing a flash website for someone, and he is wondering if there's a way for me to set it up in flash but have the body of the website be in HTML so he could go in at any time and edit the website.This sounded easy enough, but after playing around with things, I'm not sure if it's possible. Is there a way to have flash load an HTML file inside a Flash file when a button is hit, etc?

I've seen somewhere that this is possible through an IFrame, but then you can just rightclick the frame to view the source, and that's not what the client's looking for. I know it's possible to parse simple html tags in Flash in a TextField, such as <b></b> <a href=""></a> etc etc, but what are the restrictions? For example, all css should work, even flash movies inside the html page should work. I think they're asking too much, so what exactly is possible and what's not?

However, I need to write "iFrame.html" as the URL. I know that the container webpage's name is "iFrame.html." But what if I don't know the name of the HTML page? instead of "iFrame.html" is there a "_self" or "_parent" or external interface call that I can pass into the urlLoader that will get me the container HTML page of the swf?
I have a source file (test.fla) in the file i have a symbol called "vrviewer". I am trying to load an HTML page inside the viewer (vrviewer). The html page loads 28.ivp using the supplied ivp player called "pureplayer.swf" (this is called out in HTML (28.html). I would much rather load the ivp file right into flash (if i could) but do not know how to even begin doing that. I tried using the geturl function to call the html file into "vrviewer", but that did not work.
There is an event class called IVPEVENT in cs3 but im not sure if i can load my ivp file using just the class

I'm replacing the <h2> element with sIFR 3, revision 436. Everything works great until I activate sIFR. The font is replaced just fine, but the heading can no longer be clicked even though the rest of the button can. I tried to add another <a> inside the <h2> heading but that broke the whole layout since multiple <a> tags can't be nested. Is there a "correct" way to fix this or should I work around it with something ugly like a z-indexed clickable blank.gif on top of the whole thing? Or is there something else wrong that I've missed?

Is there any way to create links inside large textfields without setting the textfield as an HTML textfield? I don't want to set the link to all the text in the textfield, only to some words in the text.

how to download the html of a webpage inside of flash? This is pretty common in most languages, in C# you can use Webclient, java HTTPURLConnection, PHP has CURL.

Unless I'm mistaken, everything in this website is contained within one HTML document.When you click on any of the various buttons in the portfolio menu, they simply load up and appear inside the same HTML document.
How on earth do you do this without clicking on any of the various buttons and having them linked to another page??
