ActionScript 2.0 :: Make A Mute Button For The Video That Can Instantly Make The Volume 0?
Nov 22, 2009
Im have an flv playing on my stage. I want to make a mute button for the video that can instantly make the volume 0 or 100 depending on what it is.So i have tried using this code:
I'm creating a movie with an FLVPlayback component. I used the standard Play/Pause, Mute and Volume Bar components supplied with CS5.I have had no problem getting the individual components to work by themselves... the play/pause button plays or pauses, the mute button mutes, and the volume slider controls the volume. But how do I set the volume bar to 0 when the mute button is on, restore the original volume when the mute button is turned off, and turn on/off the mute button if the volume bar is dragged?
I have a volume slider and I want to implement a mute button to mute the sound no matter where the slider is and unmute again when clicked or the slider is moved. I've tried to do it but so far I've managed to mute it and unmute it using the above methods, but whenever I move the slider to another position and go to mute it again, it doesn't work.
I have a swf that loads external swfs. I am trying to add a mute button to the container swf that controls the volume, so the user can mute and unmute the sound. However, I cannot figure out how to accomplish this. I cant get setVolume from AS2 to do the job. I have also tried SoundTransform.volume=0 and that didnt work.
I'm creating a mute button for an audio player that I pieced together, and it seems to be working alright except when I advance to a new track. If the volume is NOT muted and I click a new track it's fine, but if the volume is muted (i.e. at "0") and click a new track it remains at 0 and won't un-mute when I click the button.. though if I click the button to un-mute it and then select a new track it's fine, so I think there's something in my playSong() function that's interfering, I just can't tell what it is.
I would like to create my own mute button in as3. I have created a video object which plays my video fine. I'm having trouble finding information on how to create a mute button that mutes the audio but the video continues to play. All documentation that I've read relates to controlling sound from an loaded .mp3 file.
Is there anyway to use ActionScript (and/or Flashvars) to tell a video page to begin with the Mute button toggled to off? We are creating a page for multiple-languages, and the client wants the sound to begin muted. I have yet to figure out what kind of variable is used by muteButton in the built in skin, whether its a boolean with true/false or what.
The video imported and plays fine with the provided skins. However I want to display the video online with the same Play control as many YouTube videos - a Play button shown in the center of the video screen area. Right now I have the video player controls that I selected during import and they are at the bottom. These skin controls work but I'd like to let the user just click on the screen to start the playback.
I've downloaded the the Flash mp3 Player. I did some minor modifications to it and it works well. The only problem I have is that when the mute button is pressed, the current song is mute(s.setVolume(0)), but when the next song comes up, the mute button is not in mute state(Volume not set to 0). I want to keep the mute state unchanged when the songs are playing untill the mute button is pressed again.
I have an .mp3 file which is supposed to be embedded in the timeline. Since it is 6 minutes long, it not practical to run it streaming on to the 7,200 frame. Consequently, in order to get it to run I have set the property to Event rather than sound. Also I have set it to repeat 99 times. How can I put in a volune control, or mute button. Can anyone help as I am quite new to this.
i want to create an mp3 player with volume ,frequency, bass, treble and speed knobs any pointers to any scripts that might help me would be great, but at the moment i am just trying to work out how to make a knob that turns.I assume i would use drag over and some kind of rotation function.
I am relatively new to Flash CS3. I need to create a video file add a skin and put a voice over or background music. I have done all of it but I have a problem with the skin. On the skin there is a volume button for the video. How can I mute or control the volume of the video? Just like in youtube for example. You can turn it up or down. What is the code for it? Because when I click on the button to mute ir or turn it down it doesn't do anything to the volume. I had a separate video and a song but I went to Windows Movie Maker and associated the song with the video so now it is a whole: video with a song. So basically I just want to know what I need to do in order to control the volume of the video.
this is my code for photogallery.there will be 61 images loaded in this array.how can i make an AUTO button which will make a slideshow, showing all the images in array?
arrayrow = new Array() arrayrow=[ ["00.jpg","0","sajkad","hjsgadhj"],[code].....
I have a map of the US and each state has a rollover that changes the color of the state...what i am trying to figure out is how to click on the state and have text appear to the side of the US map and have that text stay up until the user clicks on another state.
I am trying to make a sprite button with graphics and can't make it work. I have successfully added text fields so I know the path is correct. I suspected my code was correct and confirmed it should be, after reading several tutorials showing the process for creating sprite buttons with graphics. Anyway, I imported nearly every class on Earth, but certainly everything which needs to be. Stage is gray and 800x600.The graphics code by itself with appear, but not when linked to the sprite. Also, the sprite won't appear no matter what. Another interesting piece of the puzzle: nothing will trace, not even objects such as textfields which actually appear and function on the stage when I text the code.
public class ContactClass extends Sprite { public function ContactClass() { var home_btn:Sprite = new Sprite();[code]....
I have seven loops in total. I imported them into the library. i've put each of them in a seperate movie clip with the names loop1,loop2,.In those movie clips, the first (key)frame contains the action stop(); . The second frame is a keyframe too and from here on the sound starts. And of course they loop.Okay, now the buttons to control the movie (Prev, Stop, Play, Next) work fine, but let me explain the system i used. I used a var loopnumber and everytime you click Next or Prev, it '+'es 1 or '-'es 1. I also set a variable number_to_play = "_root.loop"+loopnumber, so you would get _root.loop--number--, where --number-- is 1,2,3,4,5,6 or 7. To actually play the sound, i used tellTarget(number_to_play) {gotoAndPlay(2)}.That's why i added stop(); to the first frame of those clips.how can i make a volume slider for those sounds inside my movie clips ? I've checked this forum already for questions like this but they don't use the system I use.
