i have been using AS2.0 for quite a long time. And i started using papervision3D too.I am using tutorial made by Lee Brimelow's cube tutorial. but i want different results. So long i am able to move the cube in one direction and that is my requirement. But in his tutorial he as link to urls. what i want is to expand one face of the cube which is clicked to expand to fit in the screen.(i am also using fullscreen and stage resize).

Is this performed with CSS and using multiple DIVs with varying Z Indices.

I'm trying to copy this effect:[URL] as you can see, not only does the image increase in size, but it also shrinks the other buttons around it when the mouse goes over it.
When I'm watching something play, if I click on the expand button the whole monitor goes white nothing happens so I have to click Esc to go back?

However I want to display the video online with the same Play control as many YouTube videos - a Play button shown in the center of the video screen area. Right now I have the video player controls that I selected during import and they are at the bottom. These skin controls work but I'd like to let the user just click on the screen to start the playback.
View 3 RepliesI've been trying to attempt to make it so a .flv video will fit to the entire screen of the browser window. ( I already have my .swf file fit to re-size to any browser on any computer. I just can't figure out how to make the video as well) And obviously an external video so the flash file wont take forever to load.The point is this is to be able to have the Video be the background. So I may put content (Links, information or whatever else) on top of the video.

I am trying to duplicate the link effect: http:[url]....The thing about that is that I am trying to create this for an HTML site as link transitions for a client. My issue is that the swf has to maintain size on ALL browsers and sizes. I've tried setting the html object sizes to 100%, but the video is smaller. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
View 3 RepliesThe problem that I'm facing is in regards to the width of a sliding menu that I've created. The menu slides based on mouse x position and width of the movie. I would like the menu to fit to the entire screen regardless of the users resolution. I wanted to know if there's a way to detect a users screen width and then adjust the variable for screen width within my actionscript .fla if necessary.
View 10 RepliesI'm making a side-scrolling game, with a (theoretically) infinite background. I have a block engine that places the blocks on the bitmap canvas. Now here's the catch. I'm using the bitmapData.scroll() function. Now unless I clear the screen each time the character moves, it's going to leave ghost images of the border of the screen, like this picture: zanzlanz. tumblr. com/post/18857712784 If I clear the screen each time, then it generates a lot of lag (because it has to repaint the objects again). I'm a bit lost on how I can scroll without leaving streaks of the side of the screen and without repainting the entire screen.
View 1 RepliesI encountered on the building of my largest flash project to date. The project is a dvd-based presentation with audio, video and text that's xml driven.The project has been coming along nicely but recently a bug has popped up that I haven't been able to figure out. Here's what's going on:
There are three main sections in the swf, the intro screen, the main screen and the content screen. The swf is set to default to full-screen with the resizing and re-positioning of the elements built into a resize handler. Since each screen has different content, each screen has a different resize handler that is removed when transitioning to the next screen before the resize handler is applied for that screen.
For the first two screens, everything is working fine, but when you get to the content (third) screen (where the xml loads), the entire flash movie darkens, and nothing is clickable. This only occurs when the swf is in its default full-screen mode, if you escape full-screen the screen goes back to normal and the nav is clickable again. Also, if you've escaped full-screen mode before you reach the third screen, it remains normal and clickable.
I initially thought that it might be an issue with the event handler for the fullscreen, but the bug never appeared in previous versions with the same code. So I replaced the fla file with one that was not causing the bug and got a functioning swf out of it, even though it was including the same as3 files that the buggy file was including. I saved that file and sent it to the client, who has been successfully publishing from it without a problem. So I thought, problem solved, just a corrupt fla file. But now, any version of the swf that I publish has the problem, even ones that published fine earlier, and aren't using any of the new code that was being used when the problem started occurring. is it possible that my flash app has gotten corrupted or something? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?
I have an issue with video. I have a full screen projector running Flash Player 10.1. I call the video with this code:

The videofile (video1a.swf) uses the Flash FLV Playback component 2.5 (size 320 x 240) and the source movie is external (video1a.flv). The videoloads and runs fine but enters in full screen despite I have configure the component to exactFit. Any way to make it stay to 320x240?
Making an Flex App. Just wondering if anyone has created something that fits automatically to the users' screen size and how I go about doing this? One of the principle things is that I need an background image, which is obviously going to have to scale / resize to match the users screen.

If I just go to the fullscreenmode - everything on the stage is scaled up naturally.Playing with the full screen features I could come up withthe only solution which is to calculate a scaling factor (based on,say, stage.width and stageWidth) and adjust player controlsdimensions and position accordingly.Is it the best way to preserve objects sizes or there is abetter technique?I hoped that because each display object has it's own stageand I could show full screen only video by doing something like:

How can I make my flash Webpage displayed same size on any screen resolution of my computer? Whether it is 1024 X 768 or 1280 X 960 screen resolution, the size of Webpage (Flash Webpage) should always be same so that user don't need to use horizantal scroll bar to view all the content.

When you drag the screen in any direction the background scales and rezises.But How do I make the text stay center and a certain size so that it wont scale to fit the screen and will stay a certain size

I tried manually doing it by resizing my video component upon click, but this results in a super stretched out, unnatural looking version of the video (vs resizing while playing the movie with VLC, or some other player). I can get it to work if I use "this.circle.startDrag()" but I want to be able to use the startMove and stopMove functions on different children, text boxes and other objects generically. Stage is at 1684 x 1322 animated map operated by buttons in a static key located outside of map border, all on stage. Map also pans/zooms.
Two scenarios:-
1) resize stage and all contents down to a different size.
2) resize the animated map down but more so than the static key (sits outside the map) which should remain readable.
I want to duplicate a 10 by 400 horzontal bar down the entire screen on a 550 by 400 document and have each one change colors randomly. I have this so far:

"square" is my horizontal bar of course. I've read the tutorials buy I'm still not exactly sure how duplicateMovieClip works. what determines how many times it is duplicated?Then I'll have to figure out how to get each one to move down 10 pixels it is duplicated so they are not just all on top of each other.
So ive been asked to build a page for a real state company and the guy told me it should be similar to these [URL] Ive been trying a couple of weeks so far, but i dont seem to find a way to do somthing similar, i mean, i want to have the welcome screen as those two:
- the gradient background
- flash occupies whole screen no matter what size it is
- gradient expands sideways infinately
- no matter what height my explorer window is, gradient is always in the same position relative to top, and if i keep expanding downwards the background keeps last colour of the gradient.
- the brand logo looks as if it had top, left and right anchors, and it also limitates the minimum width of the explorer window
i though of addind a 3000 x 3000px square with the gradient and centering it, but i know there has to be a professional way of achieving that.
