I'm trying to make an on/off button.If i press it the first time,it will load the movie holder.swf. If i press the second time, it will unload the movie.The problem is i can only do this process one time. When i pressed it the third time, nothing happened.
this is my code for photogallery.there will be 61 images loaded in this array.how can i make an AUTO button which will make a slideshow,showing all the images in array?
arrayrow = new Array() arrayrow=[ ["00.jpg","0","sajkad","hjsgadhj"],[code].....
Im have an flv playing on my stage. I want to make a mute button for the video that can instantly make the volume 0 or 100 depending on what it is.So i have tried using this code:
I have a map of the US and each state has a rollover that changes the color of the state...what i am trying to figure out is how to click on the state and have text appear to the side of the US map and have that text stay up until the user clicks on another state.
I am trying to make a sprite button with graphics and can't make it work. I have successfully added text fields so I know the path is correct. I suspected my code was correct and confirmed it should be, after reading several tutorials showing the process for creating sprite buttons with graphics. Anyway, I imported nearly every class on Earth, but certainly everything which needs to be. Stage is gray and 800x600.The graphics code by itself with appear, but not when linked to the sprite. Also, the sprite won't appear no matter what. Another interesting piece of the puzzle: nothing will trace, not even objects such as textfields which actually appear and function on the stage when I text the code.
public class ContactClass extends Sprite { public function ContactClass() { var home_btn:Sprite = new Sprite();[code]....
What button event should I use to make the program understands to DO SOMETHING only when the button is pressed/dragged. In my sample code below, I want something to happens only if the button is dragged beyond 200 in y axis. I tried onRelease, onRollOver and onDragOver but still not working
by the way you need to make a symbol and need to export for ActionScript and class name is "ball". And the button instant name is:bButton. So here's the script I wrote so far.
var boundaryRight:Number = stage.stageWidth; var boundaryLeft:Number = 0; var balls:Array;[code]....
As you can see that code made the multiple ball go to left and looping over and over again. So here's what I want to do. I want to make a button and when I click the button it'll change direction like click and it change direction to right. I click it again and it'll go left again. How do I write the code for that?
I want to make a button (or graphic) active and visible if another button is clicked. But it must be invisible and unclickable before the other button is clicked. (this is a "find the differences between the 2 pictures game" and I want circles to appear over the differences that the user finds but only after he clicks it)
The button (or graphic) I want to become active has instance name of "sockcircle_btn" The button you click to make it appear is called "sock_btn"
In the first frame of the sockcircle_btn layer, this is my code
sockcircle_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,sockcircledisable); function sockcircledisable(evt:MouseEvent):void{ sockcircle_btn.mouseEnabled = false; }
In the sock_btn frame (frame 3) this is my code
sock_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,sockcircleenable); function sockcircleenable(evt:MouseEvent):void{ sockcircle_btn.mouseEnabled = true; }
The file is setup to loop between frames 2-3. But the sockcircle_btn never enables even when sock_btn is clicked.
I'm trying to make buttons that involve a character pointing to indicate interaction.When a button is interacted with (mouse over or down) the character's arm points to that particular button. I separated his body, so that it remains constant on the main stage, no matter which button is being interacted with.The problem is, when the user is not mousing over or clicking down on any button, the character has no arms (since only his body remains constant)!How do I resolve this?The only thing I thought of so far is if there's any way to create an up button state that includes the arm (right now I have nothing for mouse up) THAT ENDS when the next button is interacted with. Is that possible? If I put the arm in the up state (in addition to mouse over and down) it stays when the interaction is over, which poses a problem when the user interacts with the next button (the character ends up with double the arms since each button introduces a different set of arms pointing towards that particular button).
I simply don't know the syntax.I am attempting to make something similar to a Jeopardy board for a Christmas party at work. I have a grid of buttons that correspond to different questions. The function would be as follows: The button "eng_1" (as in "English for 100 points)is clicked.This makes the button "eng_1_q" (as in :English 100 question) visible, so the question can now be read.The button "eng_1_q" is clicked, and that button is then made invisible. The question can not be seen, now we have returned to the board.The original "eng_1" is now a different colour (or left in it's "down" state) to show that the question has already been asked (not sure if this should be part of the function of "eng_1" or "eng_1_q").My idea would be something like this.
I have a flash file where i can save "yes or no" questions and every time i need to click a save button. Is there a way to autosave when i choose either "yes og no" or make another button go to XX and click XX-button.[code]
i was thinking if i could make a button that when you do mouseover it brings up a bar saying "background" at the top and a list of colours to choosethe colours are buttons and u click to change the background for the whole sitei thought maybe

I've made a mask with a FLVPlayback inside and with a sliding bar that appears when I make rollover in the FLVPlayback. All working well. I want to put some simple controls in the sliding bar like pause or play, but I can't access the buttons because they are inside a first button ( the FLVPlayback ) that triggers the sliding bar. How can I make to have a button inside another button area?
I have a simple question for someone --Im very new at Flash. I have a box and 3 different colored buttons at the left. When a person clicks the red button the box turns red, green button turns the box green, etc. My question is I would like the text color of the box to appear under the box according to what button they press. Here is my code to turn the box red. What line would i add to have the word Red show up under the box when the red button is clicked. Do I type the word Red and make it a movie clip? Then what?
This should be simple, and was with Actionscript 2.0 But, after 4 hours of watching tutorials, reading through lessons and forums, I have yet to create my first button that will go to a URL in Actionscript 3.0.[code]But when I publish it I get this error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.at header_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()Now per the advise I've already read for others with the same problem.I do have the button instance named "home".I do have the button in Frame 1.
I'm trying to make a button with a picture I made in photoshop.. but the problem is that the background is transparent, I just want the main part to be clickable.
Here is an example.. I just want the purple part to be clickable. The box around that is the actually whole image. So how can I fix this?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to make an mp3 button.I've created a movieclip that looks like a play button at frame 1, and at frame 5 it's a stop button.So once the clip is pressed on the main timeline, play the sound play and the clip should then go to the last frame(5) to display the stop button.When the clip is pressed again(at the stop button)the sound should stop stop, and the clip should return to the first frame.Here's what I have so far.....
import flash.display.MovieClip; import flash.media.Sound var mylink =location file directory etc...;[code]....
I was thinking I need to remove the listener at some point but I'm not sure where.
This is my code for link sound from libraryvar snd:Sound = new mySound();snd.play (0 , 0);And I made a replay button at the end of flash, with this code
stop(); replay.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,onClick); function onClick(event:MouseEvent):void {
I currently have a flash file that has a whole bunch of buttons that are MC's with rollover and out states that open up a PDF when clicked.For each number (12-33) I have the MC with a new instance name and I am calling them with the following code:[code]So for each button I have this huge mess of code. There has to be a cleaner and more efficient way of doing this. Can you guys suggest anything?
I was wondering if there was a way to stop a button from being clickable. Lets say the user has been idle on a site for 5 minutes. I want to flash movie to through up a translucent cover on the buttons and make the buttons not clickable.
I'm new here, so let's introduce myself at first: My name is Bram, I live in Holland. I am 16 years old and currently working on a little project for school. In the project you can click on stuff, and that loads an external SWF. Here is how I did that:
[Code]...
Okay. That all works, but now I want to make a button that removes the external SWF (and brings you back to the original SWF). how to do that? If you need my FLA, tell me; i'll upload it. PS: I did use search, but couldn't find anything.
