Jul 29, 2010I am working a lot with adobe recently but its the first time for flash. i have been searching the net for the past hours but didnt find whatwhat i need is a small animation that records the pen movements i make as a visible path. I want to sketch a logo for a company and want the the logo to look like its being drawn on the spot for the presentation.all i could come up with is make a dot, next frame next dot next frame next dot and so on. but that does not only look like crap it also doesnt seem like the brightest choice to me.

Mar 16, 2007i am currently trying to use actionscript to make a flash program so that when i click once to set a circle and click another place to set another circle, a line will join these two circles. If i click to set a 3rd circle then this 3rd circle will line to the 2nd one and so on.... i have a circle movie clip in my library and the circles are appearing fine. my code is as follows but no line is appearing between the circles.

Sep 26, 2006I'm doing an art project in Flash where I'd like to make realalistic line drawings of girl's faces with lines represing long flowy hair. I want to make the hair appear to be flowing in the air as if a cool breeze is blowing on it.
I tried drawing these lines for the hair flowing in the air frame by frame, but it just doesn't look natural. I was wondering if anyone knows of a solution I should do with Action Script. I have a couple specific questions in addition to my request for an AS solution to create the look of natural looking flowing hair.
1) Can AS create photorealistic natureal looking hair?
2) Can AS creates a natural looking animation of the hair moving in a sequential, breezy flow?
3) If yes and yes, how can the file size be kept low while still maintaining the apperance of a photorealistic drawing?

Professional :: Static Text After Line Break Disappears Unless At Small Line Spacings
Oct 18, 2011in Flash CS4 I have static text like: Line1 and line2 It's in 9 point Arial Regular as a device font. If I set the line spacing below 3.9 the second line dissappears from the compiled SWF file. It still shows in the FLA file. The same thing happens at 6pt but NOT at 5pt or less.

Sep 26, 2007When a Dynamic Multiple line text field is used in Flash CS3, it has a very annoying feature that auto inserts a line break at the end of inserted text. It also auto inserts a line break if no text is entered too.
I'm having a problem with this because the text is being saved from flash to a text file on the desktop. With every multi-line text field there's a nasty looking line break.
Any way of "turning off" this auto-line-break-at-the-end feature?

Sep 21, 2007I have a project that needs to store user input on the server, then be able to reload it later.I am interested in opinions as to which separator would be best to use, ie comma, semicolon, tilde, etc. Of course whichever character it is, it will be restricted from usage by the user, so it must be uncommon.I'm leaning towards using the tilde, since I already use input textfield restrictions to prevent backticks for server security (same key on the keyboard). Seems to me as if the tilde is a very rarely used character, and so should be fine to exclude it from user inputs as well.

I don't want to have a line at the top or bottom of the list, so I can't just include an upper or lower border in the itemRenderer. I was hoping the itemRenderer could be made aware of its index in the list, but I don't see how.

Jul 13, 2011I must display very small values (capacitor) in a Flex-AdvancedDataGrid I use spark.formatters.NumberFormatter. If I use 3, 6 or 9 for fractionalDigits, everything is fine.
But if I use 12, because I need 12 digits after decimal separator, then the value is cut after 9 digits!
Is there a way to get more then 9 digits after separator.
Or is there a way to use a formatting like "4.7 E-12" (Must be E-9, E-12, E-15 and so on)

ActionScript 2.0 :: Animating TriggerMC Along With Lines Of Text
Jan 9, 2010Basically, I just want to do ye old text fade on as if being typed on to the screen. Letter by letter, and in some cases word by word. digi-poetry. I've made a BlackerMC which starts as a black square, then flickerfades away leaving some faded lines (like old school crappy green monitor style), and then the lines fade away. I've placed copies of this BlackerMC over each of the characters/words I want to 'type' on.
What I would like to do is animate a TriggerMC along the lines of text, and whenever it rollsOver a BlackerMC it triggers the Blacker to fade away. I know how to set up BlackerMC to look at its distance to TriggerMC, but then there will be like 500 BlackerMCs enterframing away. Is there a way I can make TriggerMC just look at 'whatever?' MC is under it, and then trigger whatever?MC to play? How to do this the smart way, entirely with action script and Dynamic Text?
