ActionScript 2.0 :: Save Option In Right - Click Menu

I ve recently started to read about Context Menus, but i dont know how i can make a "save" command. Of course this has nothing to do with the context menu, but it would be nice if it was there. how can i make a save option so that a user would be able to save a picture (as if it was an html page)? Does it require use of xml in order a "save as" window can be opened?

A "Remove" context menu item is to be shown when the user right-clicks on a button. If the user clicks on the "Remove" option, that button should be removed from its Tile parent container. How would I implement this using Flex 3 and ActionScript 3?
ive followed Senoculars drop-down menu tute [URL], awsome stuff, but it seems the submenu's dont disappear to well when you roll out. ..They only disappear if you click on another menu item or when you click outside the menu.
Basically, I have a button and on click it displays a menu. I want to click that menu a second time and the menu closes. Currently, every time you click the button, the menu reopens. I pasted the Flex livedoc example below. If you click the button, the menu keeps reopening.Now, I rigged it up by setting a var to open and closed, so when clicking the button it does a check. However, if you click away from the screen, the HIDE event gets dispatched, and the menu closes. This messed up the open close var being set.
How could I make this Flex example below show the menu on button click, and then on a second button click, it closes the menu? Take into affect that if you click away from the menu, it closes it.Also, I played around with the MOUSE_DOWN_OUTSIDE event for the button and set the preventDefault, and the FlexMouseEvent event.cancelable is set to false.Changing to a PopUpMenuButton is not an option. I have to much skinning involved.Here is the Flex example:

i want to create a custumaizable interface that utalises the shared object code.for an over viewi am going to have a series of movieclips that contain navagation elements , that when draged into the order they want will give the user a option to save that layout/arangment .. so everytime they log in its the same ..
The menu is like this http:[url]... (the site is in portuguese but it doesnt matter), when I click in on menu the actual menu does an alpha to 0 and the next menu appears using the alpha from 0 to 100 (and some animations like the cellphone going up).Now, how can I do a menu like that, whatever the menu I choose, it does that alpha animation ?
I have a Flash drop down list component, I also have a set of buttons. When a user clicks one of the buttons, I want one of the options in the drop down list to be 'selected', but without the form being submitted.Just to clarify, I have a map of the France where all the French regions are buttons, and next to this I have a form.When a user clicks a region on the map, I want the drop down list in the form to select that region from the list.
where the Alpha Value is located? It is not show up on the properties menu. I'm trying to animate and object to fade in and out similar to this walk through. CS flash 5 seems be different.
I am trying to build an application where you click on an option it gives you more options, click on one of those and it displays an image. I am wanting to use xml to load everything.

I have a doubt regarding MouseChildren in Flash as3, i am having a movieclip named as containermc and a button named as clickbtn inside containermc, Here i want to addEventListeners for both the movieclip and button! I used containermc.mouseChildren = false; to add click event listener to the containermc then i was not able to click the button, then i gave containermc.mouseChildren = true; then i was not able to click the containermc, and also i need to enable doubleclick to containermc movieclip.

i wanted to place some credits item in the right button menu (no links, so no events, just a label with credits). i was looking the contextmenu help, and there is an example of how to add items, disable default items and so on, but i could not find how to attach the menu to the movie (the basic part). i tried both on 'stage' and it tells me that stage does not have a property called contextMenu, so i tried to attach it to a sprite, it runs ok and compiles ok but when i right click on the sprite i get the default menu

I have an array for my menu and submenus.It works fine, but I have to click again on the menu to close it.When it's open it's completly open it takes too much space.how I could make a menu close when I click on another menu item..this is the code on the frame on my main timeline:
I've got a drop down menu. I want to click a tab to make it drop then, if it's open, click it again to close. I've tried a million variations on the script below:

This works too (once). So the drop down buttons all disapear again, but it won't re-set. The drop down menu stays up from then on.
BTW i'm not set on this method, it just seemed the most obvious i.e. if menu hidden, then show it, set some variable to down (showing), else hide the menu, set var to up (hidden). Not working though.
that loads images from a folder in my case png files with transparacy, and this works fine, but I need to have a button or even better when I right click the exported sfw there should be an option to export the file to a single png file with transparacy. I just need the function to work locally on my computer so there is no need for serverside functions.
there are source files of a function which save the files on mouse drag, i just want that this function will start working on button click?

the all functions are working very fine, but i want to know is it possible to capture the stage area when we click on a ENABLE button?

I'm developing Flash for a CD.I want to create a button for the user to click and then have a choice to save or open file (like PDF or Word file).

I can't see anything wrong with the above. I intend to use the code for a CD ROM.abc.doc will sit on the CD ROM. When I click on the button, it opens a browser window and tries to go to google.com.I had it working the other day.
I have a Movie Clip configured as a Button and I wanted to know how to make the cursor transform into a pointer (little hand) when it's over tat movieclipBut well that was just not the point of the Post what really interests me is that when I click that MC a Pop up menu appears (another MC) but if i decide not to click any of the buttons in that menu the menu will stay there until I click another button or something and i will want it to disappear if a click it for a second time or something like that.
I know how to make a custom right-click menu with a series of options, but how would I make a menu with sub-options (like the quality option on the default right click menu).
