Feb 3, 2009I need to set a mouse-controlled scrolling animation to ease when it starts and when it stops in AS2. Here's my current onEnterFrame script. Might be a little crude, but it succeeds in starting and stopping the animation when the mouse rolls off the movie. Moves left on one side and right on the other. I just want the starting and stopping to be eased a bit.

Mar 17, 2009I've got a flash document using AS3. It dynamically reads data from an XML file, and creates a bunch of single line textFields. Could be like this:

So, for each node, it would create a new TextField, and change the textField.y value so that they are "stacked" on top of each other. All this if fine, except that if you hae so many "lines" (or textfields) that the "stack" is taller than the Flash Document size. What I would like to do is have a scroll bar or something so you can scroll the stack of TextFields. Doesnt' even need to be a scroll bar. Maybe an arrow button at the bottom, and when you click on it, it scrolls down. One for up too.

Nov 4, 2009Is there a way to increase the ease in and ease out effect? It will only let you choose -100 to 100, and I've messed around with the length of the tween, and the FPS of the movie, but I want the acceleration to be greater.

Aug 5, 2009I have a simple motion tween from fr 1 - 52 (x and y property movement only). I create a custom ease - standard 100 ease in and then a 100 ease out. When this ease is applied to the motion, the ease "happens" after fr 52. So the object does not stop until fr 63 (eased out at 63. How can I get the ease to match / ease out to the last keyframe on 52, rather than 63??? See the attached image of the motion editor.

Apr 8, 2006I've got a site that is using loadSound to play some mp3s and it works fine. however, the sound starts to stream, and then replays itself like a second later. my guess is that its playing faster than the load is going and when it gets to the point where it hasn't loaded enough, it starts to replay it, but i'm not sure that that is the exact problem. my code:

now, i tried making a playTrack function that i can call with setTimeout and i put that in the onLoad in place of track.start(), but that didn't work either (i was hoping to not start playing the track for 3 seconds to give it some time to buffer).

Nov 20, 2009I have (yet another...) TextField issue. I have an input textfield that is used both for capturing user input and displaying messages. It's around ten characters wide, single line and not resizable. I have a method that allows you to flash a brief message into the textfield for a couple of seconds before returning it to the state it was in:

Usually this works fine, but when the user types a long word into the textfield, the text scrolls left and the first letters of the word scroll out of view. This isn't a problem until you try to show an alert and the alert is also scrolled out of view at the beginning - even if it's a short word.
How can I reset the horizontal scroll that the user has created when updating textField.text?

I am loading html text into a dynamic textfield, and I have a scrollbar controlling the scroll using the code below. What I want to do is also add scroll up/down buttons and have the scroll bar move in relation to the text scroll. I was just going to use "tracklistingtext.scrollV -- " for the scroll buttons, but right now the scroll bar doesn't recognize the text movement. What do I need to do to get the scroll bar to listen to the text scroll position?

Jan 8, 2011We are building a flash website with cms at the back end, and we are allowing admin to put anchors inside a content. Later we created a smaller version of the whole content to display just a small part and then [read more] button. Which add a new layer on top of every thing acting like a popup and it is populated with complete content.
Now we would like to scroll that text inside popup to that portion which [read more] button was clicked.
The most common example inside HTMl is go to top link in footer on most of the sites which move the whole document to top.

What I would like to do is have five buttons at the bottom of my stage, and when I click them, an image fades AND eases in. I have this part finished so far, but the issue is that when I click another button, I want the previous image to fade/ease out before the next one fades/eases in.

Jun 3, 2011I am loading a different external SWF into each one using Load External SWF behavior.Although each SWF is a different file, they are exact copies of each other (have exact same functionality); all 3 are text boxes with both scrollbar scrolling and mousewheel scrolling.Problem is, when on the stage at the same time, they all three respond to mousewheel scroll at the same time. I need them each to respond to users' mousewheel scroll only if the mouse is over the respective area (so that way they don't all scroll at the same time).The file was developed for me and the developer is not available at this time.

I found several tutorials on creating the custom scrollBar, however, they don't include the buttons and I'm unable to find a tutorial on how to create a button scroller (I figured I could link them both to my "info_txt" after creating them separately).

Apr 14, 2010scroll pane loads scroll bars for the movie clip as soon as it loads the movie clip, so there is no scroll bars the movies height and width are one, but after its loaded it changes its size to bigger than the scroll pane, but the scroll bars dont show up because of the size of the movie clip when it was first loaded, can anyone help?
