ActionScript 2.0 :: Watching Netsteam Video (only Audio Works)
Nov 14, 2011
So I'm having a problem with AS2 when loading a netstream video.[code]I can actually listen to the audio in background but for some reason I can't see any picture. I tried with only a video object without a movieclip, and the other way around and the result is only audio, no video whatsoever.
HI installed flash media server 3.0.4 on a Windows 2003 server.I am using the default LIVE application and broadcasting to it using FME version 3.0 Inside FME I choose MP3 as the audio codec, stereo and 128kbps When I watch the stream everything works fine but after a minute (sometimes 2 minutes) the sound disappears and I can only see the video run.If I refresh the page that contains the SWF that plays the stream then the sound works again but then again after a minute the sound stops and only the video continues to play. It is important to say that this only happens when I play a live stream from a server that is located outside of my local LAN. If I play a stream from my development FMS server in my local LAN this problem doesn't happen using the same SWF and same settings in FME.Moreover, if I use the nellymoser audio codec then everything works fine and this problem doesn't happen also. The thing is that I want to broadcast a live event and it is very important that the audio sounds good (stereo and 192kbps) and if I use the nellymoser codec the results aren't that good.
I ran a simple live video streaming application for the first time with actual users and ran into a couple of serious performance issues that had not turned up during testing. In this instance there was one video stream from a live web cam and used FMLE at 150 kbps using VP6 and MP3 @22k. There were 16 clients and everything worked pretty good for about 30 minutes. (although some clients said their audio and video were out of sync by up to 3 seconds)
Then individual clients would have either the video freeze or the video would continue and the audio would stop. These clints had to "disconnect" and then "connect" again to the application. This happened to all of the clients at one time or another for several minutes. I stopped and restarted the FMLE with progessively lower bandwidth settings down to 75 kbps but still clients were having the same issue.
I eventually stopped the FMLE and used the applications built in publisher at 45 kbps and that seemed to eliminate the freeze/dropping issue. But of course the video quality was very poor and some clients still reported that the audio was out of sync with the video. The server hosting the FMS application is a quad processor dell with lots of memory and network connectivity. The Flash Media Admin Console performance graph showed the total Bandwidth as 3 Mbps at maximum.
I built a timeline based player with 2 menus and many videos that you can play. The buttons move the timeline to a frame label and the video plays. The back button has a stop function built in it so the video stops playing when its hit.It plays wonderfully locally but once on a server after a few clicks it boggs down and sometimes the audio from the last video remains playing even when prompted to stop. I was pointed to use the add and remove child functions to prevent this but being very new to Flash and 100% self taught i have zero idea on how to do this. The link to the player is[url]....Even if its a link to a tutorial or something.
I am using Flex and FMS to develop a video conferencing application. I am using DynamicStream to automatically switch incoming streams to the appropriate bitrate depending on the available bandwidth. I was wondering if there is anyway in which I can instruct the DynamicStream to allow more bandwidth for audio (obviously at the cost of losing some frames from the video).
I have a SWF movie (only animation, no Actionscript) and I would like to programatically extract the resulting video and audio and whatever resolution.
I inherited a flash website about a year ago.. not sure what version it was originally done in. I've made changes on the model last year using CS3 Flash Action script 2, but don't remember the flash version when published. The audio in question is the music that plays in the background when you get on the website:
[URL]
When I changed the image of the model this last week using CS4, I published it as Flash8 actionscript 2... now, the music plays on Mac Safari and Mac Firefox, but not on the Windows versions of IE or Firefox..
this is the code called sound control
onClipEvent(load) { _root.soundstatus="on"; _root.mySound = new Sound(_level0);
[Code]....
then there's the stop() that's used when the music is toggled off..
I've tried updating the flash player in Windows to the latest release, and I even tried republishing as flash 10, just not sure where to troubleshoot this..
Is there a way to find out when someone is watching to the swf? For example i have a swf loader but it preloades all swf behind each other [swf]-[swf]-[swf]
I can slide between each [swf] but the swf contains animations, they start playing when he preloads the [swf]'s. Is there a way i know when someone is watching the swf and then start the animation?
My first solution was a onmouse but it doesn't work when you don't have your mouse on the [swf].
I've started my first flash movie and it works in IE but not in Firefox. Can anyone help me out? Here is the code that I am using (I pulled the syntax from a web site and modified it):
Basically I have imported .flv videos into my flash website. The actual .flv videos have been uploaded to my website so the player skin is the only thing on each page and each skin is linked to the url of the video location. Hope its making sense so far. My problem is that the first video works fine but the other 3 videos do not play...the video player skin does not even turn up. I have also uploaded the "ClearOverPlaySeekMute.swf" video skin file onto my website but still does not work..Heres the flash website (its my own portfolio). If you go onto the "Projects" page and click on Solar System and go through the pages then you will see what I mean.URL...
I have been trying to play a video that was converted using [URL] to mp4 file , it is working fine on the simulator but on the ipad I don't see the video.
I'm trying to load an swf game, and then repeatedly run a check to see if the game has ended by accessing one of it's variables. Reading the forums and searching the web has gotten me this far:
[Code].....
"testing" appears on the output window so I know it's being loaded correctly, the game is also playing correctly. When I run the game in debug mode, it shows that the variable _level2.LOCAL exists and has a value, but the main loop just keeps kicking out "undefined."
In my flex app I have a public bindable property.I want it so that every time the value of that property changes, a function gets triggered. I tried using ChangeWatchers, but it seems those only apply to built-in components like a text box change.i would like to do that same behavior with a property that changes at runtime.
How can I get my preloader to look at the size of individual clips?I have taken the percentage preloader code from this site and simply added the instance name of the clip I want to preload, but it doensn't work?
When I use the webcam and microsoft to record a video, my audio and video are out of sync. This does not happens when I use the built-in Microphone on the webcam.
A simple flash video doesn't appear in IE. I've looked at answers to the same problem by NineBerry, however, I've tried those suggestions without luck.[code]I didn't include the file mulholland_intro_slideshow.fla as I doesn't seem necessary.I'm also aware that when encoding with Flash the object can only be made to played locally or via the network. I encoded locally for testing but it also plays across the network. Is that even relevant? I don't know.
getting this here Flash website to work. It is an .swf that has four different buttons in it. Each different button uploads a different video thumbnail with a play-button over it. When you click on that thumbnail with the play-button over it, it goes to the thumbnailed video which automatically plays. Here is the link:
[URL]
There are no bells and whistles with the html, it's just tagged and uploaded with the Fullscreen-true so that you can make the video go full-screen.
But see, when I upload the thing, the buttons no longer navigate to the different videos unless the play-button over the thumbnail is already pressed and its video is already playing. I need them to work anyways.
I'm using a regular flash video player to play rtmp streams hosted on a cdn. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a count of the number of users watching a stream, through actionscript or flash?
I'm currently working on a portfolio site, which, among other things, loads external swf files into the stage. The problem starts when I load a 400x300 swf file into the stage, which is 900x800. The result is that I get all objects which are outside the stage area in the loaded swf, on my main stage. I tried everything from changing the width and the height to loading it into a movieclip. It's always the same, I get all the elements from outside the stage of the loaded swf (if I try to change the width/height, the objects outside the scene still remain) This is the code I'm using to load the external AS2 swf:
I have a video that consists of an imported FLV to thetimeline so I could put a new background behind the alpha-channeledbackground of the movie and put other thingsin front of it. When Iexport as SWF it plays just great. However, the download is akiller over DSL speed connection, so I thought I'd try making thefinished product into an FLV. To do that I have to export as QTmovie first, then from QT Pro export to FLV. It loads much quicker, however the movie's video and audio get out of synch by the firstminute (it's 4 1/2 minutes long), and by the end it looks terrible.
this one is really doing my head in and any advice (even vague thoughts) would be really great.I have an FLVPlayback component on the stage and I am loading 8 FLVs in to 8 separate video players within it. I then play the first one and when it ends I randomly select which to play next.Everything seems to work fine except that each time I run it one or two of the clips play back with only audio only and no video. It is not the same clip each time but whichever one it is will consistently fail to playback untill I re publish when it chooses a differrent clip to fail on.I am publishing for FP8 from CS4 on a Mac and it fails when I test movie as well as in FF and Safari.
If anyone has any ideas on this at all please shout them out or I am heading for the forrest never to return
When I go to test my video the audio and video are playing at different playback speeds. I'm trying to create a video using Flash that requires events based on the song itself. how to make the audio and video play at the same speed during Timeline playback and testing?
