This swf file (attached) will load the xml content (rss) when I Publish Preview it in Flash CS3 (AS2), but not in the browser. This is an aggravating problem and think that it may be flash stopping it from accessing the content but frankly I have no clue.
View 7 RepliesI'm having a problem with pathways. I have a main sfw called "loadgallery.swf" and upon clicking buttons in that movie, it loads other swf galleries into a container called "movie." It is working when I test it in Flash, but not when I put it into an html page (two levels up from the swf files) and preview it in a browser.Here's the AS on a button (which works when tested in Flash):

When I previewed my flash site before uploading it, the site appeared much larger. Are there any settings I can asjust so the site appears the same size when people visit online as when I previewd it in flash?

look @ the source for this page [URL] It works great in all Webkit/Mozilla browers but in IE 9 we can only see the top half of the swf and in IE 8 it doesnt load @ all. I searched all the other threads and nothing seems to work

Then, I load myurl's image into img_container.This works when I test the swf while flash open, but not while I test in the standalone swf thats exported on my computer, or on a browser. Something about internet settings came up as well, til I published to "allow network only".

View 2 RepliesI am putting together a fairly simple website for a Client, quick animation intro and a navigation menu all built with Flash CS4. Works in every browser except IE. I have downloaded the newest Flash Player but it still doesn't work. Actually, it lets me hear the sound of the animation, and I can even see the cursor turn into a finger as it scrolls over the links of the Flash content, but I cannot see the Flash content. View 14 RepliesI have flash content online that is 1024x800 px but need it to resize/scale dynamically if the browser window is resized or someone with a browser height of less than 800 visits the website.
Been looking at stage.resize and event.resize but can't figure them out. Also have looked at swfobject and swffit (not actionscript I know) and can resize my content to a specific size using swfobject but not dynamically.
I have a requirement of publishing static content like video files mentioned in a playlist to be published to a live stream. It is like creating a TV station with pre-recorded content but with live stream. It will great if anyone let me know is it possible with FMS?

In the Publish Settings I see there are options to align the HTML to Default, Left, Right, Top and Bottom, but no Center. Is there a setting somewhere else? On PC FF and IE when hitting back button in browser the site disappears.
Sometimes PC site won't load. Says "Done with errors."
In FF, the page is coming up blank.
What is the best way to publish swfs for cross-browser support?
I have finished my flash game, but when I used web Browser such as Chrome or FireFox to run it, it enlarged my game to full size of the browser. Is there anyway( in AS3 script) that I could prevent this from happening as well as hide the symbols that their sizes are bigger than my default size defined at the document property panel?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to create a website that will full scale the browser window with all the flash elements inside but I am having trouble deciding what resolution to design in and how to lock certain content to not scale.
I am trying to achieve the effect that will consist of a high resolution image as the background for each section of the website that will full screen. Content such as logo and footer etc should always remain locked. An example of this can be found at http:[url]..... If you shrink the browser window all content stays centralised and the top and bottom footer do not scale, although the central part of the site does change. I was wondering how this effect was achieved? How does some content remain locked and others scale. I really can not figure out what dimension size to design in and achieve the high res image effect for the site. I too will require a top and bottom footer.how that site was published and constructed that would be brilliant.At present I am playing around with the following code:

How do you preload dynamic classes which loads its own content? cause theoretically speaking the classes doesn't have a size yet until it loads its content right?
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to make an empty movieclip (content) that loads an external swf move above some other movieclips after is is fully loaded, and another movieclip (stage_mc) hits frame 25. It needs to load behind and the stage_mc, then move above it when stage_mc hits frame25. I tried this code on the main timeline, and the main timeline is one frame.

I am trying to publish the video of a webcam to a Flash Media Server 2.My code is working in the Flash standalone player (tested with 10.0 and 10.2), but not in the browser plugin (tested with 10.2, both in IE and Opera.The connection to my FMS is working successfully, but after the publish, nothing happens, I never get the NetStream.Publish.Start Event. I am using a content loader through AS3 to load some images and then later pushed into an array. I have pushed my image file paths in to an array (arrayImages). But when the loader loads the images it doesn't load the images based on the order they are listed in the arrayImages, instead they were loaded based on their file sizes. Is there anyway that these can be loaded in the order they were pushed to the array? Below is the code that i use to load the images.
