I've just run through this tutorial and I've got my site centering in my browser as planned.However when I resize my browser window the text (I'm using a pixel font) is going fuzzy.Is there some way I can lock 'centerRectangle' to a rounded X and Y coordinate so that this doesn't happen?

I have a request to bulid the Flash website looking somewhat similar to LabelloI need a fullscreen flash that position elements dinamically, based on the stage dimensions. I found this tutorial on Kirupa:I need to do the same, but in AS 2.0, since it is the requirement.Is there any tutorial or finished script for this or I just need to write the code from scratch, as I'm not so good in AS3?
View 3 RepliesI was looking at this tutorial, this is exactly what I am trying to do with my website, but this is AS3, is there a way to change the code so it will function exactly the same but with AS2 code instead.
I have already contstructed my site with AS2, which then wont allow this code to work, Is there even a way I can have an AS3 index file that loads the movies with the AS2 and applies the same resizing to the movies that have been loaded.
I have a main flash container move that loads in multiple swf files. I created a movieclip container in the main flash container that resizes and positions according to the stage height and width as follows:

This works fine if no graphics are off the stage in the loaded swfs. Otherwise if I have a scrolling menu and the buttons out width the containing mc it takes into account the masked content width and centers the movieclip accordingly throwing alignment off.
Is there a way to ignore masked content when getting stage width and height?
I have built a catalog in flash that was orginally built in InDesign and exported but it has some small content that is hard to read for the elderly users viewing it and I would like to add a zoom feature or some type of magnifying glass.

I've been playing around with a code that keeps a specific object on the center of the movie when the window is re-sized. It works well but here is the issue: I don't want the object to be centered at the very center of the window but on a specific x,y coordinate. How can I modify this code to assign an x,y coordinate so that the object will be "centered" in reference to that coordinate?
Next, is the code. "centerlogo" is the object to be centered and "backgroundImage" is as the name implies the background. I know that what i ask has to do with the part under the "//center content" comment

I'm looking for the best way to get a flex 4 image object to resize and horizontally center whenever its parent container (a custom component based on group) resizes. I cannot set horizontalCenter="0" to accomplish the image centering because I use a move transition to "slide" the image in and out of view.
I'm externally setting the image source in the component. Here is a simplified example of my component code that only addresses resizing the image.

im loading photos of different aspect ratios with a loader onto a child holder frame_mc. I wanted to know what AS3 commands do i need to work on to get the frame_mc to resize to the new childs dimensions and centerize itself on the main stage? (as in event listeners, functions, vars etc)

I have an index.swf that it's dimensions are 1020x610, now when I load content in a container in the index.swf it will be centered using an onResize stage listener, that works fine but only if the loaded content is 1020x610, I've also used an onEnterFrame that checks if the width and height are !=0 so that way it waits for it to load before centering the content.
What should I do to always keep my content centered. Lets say I want to load a swf that is smaller (ie the 1st frame only contains 1 element that is smaller than the stage dimensions) I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well....
would like to know if there is any way to create and call an action from outside of flash that will resize the swf to dimensions I set?for example if I make a banner that is 300x250, and I want that exact banner in 336x280, instead of entering each swf source and resizing it (I have many banners) I would like to make it easier...

I cannot find an example of this anywhere - In all example's I've found the nodes always output left to right, looping to redraw a new row.Any one know if this is possible, could a script calculate the number of nodes in the row and adjust the first node x position accordingly?

I load an external SWF in that MC (with addChild).This external SWF is 1000*680px too (same size than parent).I have a lot of clips in my external SWF and some of them are "out" the project zone.So when I load it in my MC; the MC is no more 1000*680 but more.I thought that what was outside didn't matter; but it seems that flash do not ignore what is out.So, when I use the code to resize/recenter the MC; it broke as it do not center as it should.I did try to use masks but it do the same.

PS: Just as an example, I have a dynamically created text field inside a dynamically created movieclip....and when I try to scale that movieclip I need to scale it from its center
I am trying to create a flash website, my document size is 1024 X 766 pixels. My goal- when I publish it and view it in the browser, when I resize the browser window I DO NOT WANT the website to scale up/down accordingly.At the moment my flash website is scaling according to the resizing of the browser window which is causing awful aliasing to my logo (jagged edges).The logo is 250 x 50 and I don't want the logo to change size while resizing the browser window. And at the moment the logo is growing or shrinking when changing the browser window.

I am a motion media designer trying to incorporate some of my work for a client into a website for her Christmas gift. I am trying to resize a .swf to match the browser size, as the fixed size is really messing with my otherwise-resizing layout. Every time I set the width/height of the .swf to "100%" or "auto", the movie gets cut off at the top and bottom under the div containers. When I change the size of the container to 100%, I get a long, thin movie. I've copied my code below, Feel free to criticize anything else about my code, too--I'm a CSS virgin.

I want to create a website with a background that will auto-resize according to the stage size using AS3.But what i need to know before I do it is: What is the right resolution for the background picture?I want people with resolution starting from 1024x768 to view the website correctly and I also want people with 24'' monitors to view the background with good quality so I guess the image needs a high resolution. I started with 1936x1288 but when I resize the stage to fullscreen the bottom of the image gets cut off.

I would like everything to auto-scale with the resize, but also remain in the same relative position on the stage.

I have a number of fixed field sizes I want my text to stay within but when the browser is expanded to full screen it changes the fonts so the text no longer fits in the text boxes and it forces scrolling.
