View 1 RepliesI am trying to build a site that would give users the ability to upload a picture to a picture frame on my site. I would like AS3 to dynamically re-size, and upload the file from an upload bar under the frame.

View 0 RepliesI have a picture upload function in my flash and when I upload a picture I lose focus on the flash. This results in that all my listeners disappears. I cant click buttons, use dragbars etc. This only happens in FF. I am using flash player 10 and Snow Leopard. I've tried to get the focus back by sending a call to javascript:
AS:
ExternalInterface.call("focusFlash");
JS:
function focusFlash(){
var fl = swfobject.getObjectById("pepsi");
fl.focus();
}
I am trying to edit and mix sound effects and music for a FLASH animation in ProTools. After much trial and error I figured out how to make an accurate Quick Time of my FLASH file to spot sounds to in ProTools. The problem is when I import my audio into FLASH, it speeds up making it out of sync with the picture. I did several tests and it looks like for ever minute of ProTools the audio in FLASH speeds up 2 frames. Both programs are running at 24 FPS.
It is not a NTSC vs Flim speed issue. All other programs read my PT audio file correctly and show it to be the correct length with the SFX where I placed them. FLASH speeds it up, making my animation not time to the music and effects causing me to resync all my layers. How do I accurately export a sound file into an AIFF format and import it into FLASH without FLASH changing the speed? I have my audio set to Stream as it should be. After 3 minutes my audio is 8 frames (1/3 of a second) out of sync with the picture.
i have this code on first frame

i can draw with mouse all over stage..but when i import image (handball field) and drag picture on stage i can only draw beneath this picture..my question how can i reference in AS3 code to draw on that imported picture..i wanna do something like whiteboard for coaches so they can draw actions for game..
Basically im building a flash based drum head designer for users to upload their own image, resize, add text etc, then it be uploaded to a web server when they complete the purchase.
I have all the server side part working, able to send a 2800px square image and compress it into a 1.5MBish jpg.
the problem im having is for the user to upload an image into flash. I've seen prototypes where it uploads the image to the server, then flash loads that image, then upoads the completed one, but this uses alot of transfers.
What I hoped to achieve is something similar to the system on the [URL] website where the image is stored in the cache first. I have spent hours looking for resources on importing user images into flash without uploading first.
I want to make a picture gallery and use buttons that move you from picture to picture and backwards, but I don't want to tell button 1 to go to frame 2 and button 2 to got to frame 3 and so on (I hope you know what I mean)Can I use on button on a separate layer with the same action set? I tried something like that, but it didn't work:
on (release) {
thisframe =+1
}
[code]........
but it didn't work. I'm kind of new to any action script other than gotAndPlay, easy functions and all that.
I have a flex mobile application that I am working on that I am having issues with selecting an image from roll/taking a picture. My application is not tabbed, however one part of it contains a Tabbed View Navigator with tabs across the bottom. Within one of those tabs, I have the ability to upload an image to a webservice that I have created. However, when I select an image or take the picture, it pops back out to the initial splash screen and the application restarts. If I use the component standalone (outside of the tabbed view navigator) it selects the image and uploads without any problem.

View 2 RepliesI recently used the loadMovie action to load a .swf file to a target in the movie which it was being called from. Then I tried calling a picture to another target in the movie, but it did not load the picture as intended. I read about it on my book, but it didn't seem to work. Is there anyways on calling a picture into a target in the movie without placing the picture inside an swf file?
View 7 RepliesI have just been to a really nice website that has some really nice use of Flash on it.... I'm totally wowed by the resizing picture effect though? When each picture loads the loading frame resizes to the new picture size.

View 1 RepliesCan you use the FileReference.upload() function to upload files to Sharepoint or do I have to use the SP web services? This is without adding your own ASP.NET Web Services, just using the built in SP Web Services.
View 1 RepliesI am creating flash uploader and want to start 10 uploadings at time.But flash upload only 2 files on domain at time, other references wait for something.In IE with ActiveX Player limitation is about 6 files at time.Is there any ideas how to change this limitation? For uploading I need to use FileReference.upload without creating URLRequest object from file data.
View 1 RepliesEDIT: Reworked my code a bit and decided to throw out URLLoader in favor of the ile.upload() method.Now I'm stuck again >_<Here's the code I currently have, stripped down to bare-bones:When I drag-drop image files onto my app, here is the trace log that gets returned to me:

Okay, so I am calling my scripts from the folder "php/" Thus, my FileReference calls "php/upload.php" to upload. However, my uploads are in "uploads/" and not in "php/uploads". When the PHP script is called, it apparently ignores the caller (the SWF file) and looks for uploads in its own directory (the "php/" folder). It may be a PHP question, but how do I reference the uploads folder as being in the parent directory of the php files in my PHP script?
View 1 Repliesi got five images, and five buttons, every image has a color, and lets say we start at the red one. Everything went good so far.Now i'm trying make every picture go to a URL when the picture is clicked but only the link on the first frame goes to the URL when clicked the other 5 buttons do nothing when click.(FYI: I made alpha 0% buttons in a layer above pictures)I tried two different codes but both have no effect.

Code:
stop();
var nextImage:Timer = new Timer(3000);

View 1 RepliesI am using a PHP upload to upload files to server. I have a loop for the 5 files to upload....
ActionScript Code:
if (PDFFiles[i] != false){
PDFFiles[i].upload(uploadPHP);
}
As the loop runs quicker than PHP can upload, the success of....
ActionScript Code:
function fileUploaded(e:DataEvent):void {
trace "Success"}
....can get out of synch. It doesn't cause me any real problems but is this bad form? Or am I better to upload one file the wait for the PHP to return success before uploading the next one?

my listener.onComplete = function(selectedFile:FileReference) is fired without any file in the upload dir. if the file is small and I wait a bit I can see the file (through FTP) coming up on the server, but most of the times the "onComplete" if fired without any file being saved.
can I add something to this php code to make sure the file is uploaded?
