This is because Adobe Flash Player addon for Mozilla Firefox does not send HTTP referrers. The problem is also known as Bug 410904 [URL]
What you can do is to add an additional line inside .htaccess file to detect blank referrer: RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
In my opinion the above "solution" ruin the whole hotlink idea - especially as to Internet Explorer...
But what if we would manipulate the headers sent to the webserver, to include the referrer (with the use of AS3)?
IDE :: GotoAndStop And Mozilla - Getting Random Position?
Jan 8, 2010I am having problems with gotoAndStop and mozilla. I am loading an external swf ( which is Flash MX 2004 ) swf. In this swf, there are 200 keys frames. Here, i am using a command gotoAndStop(110). Now after publishing, when I am viewing in IE browsers, I can able to see the 110th keyframe position exactly. But when i am viewing the same html in Mozilla, I am getting random positions. Here am not getting 110th position.

Nov 16, 2009Been a while since i've posted on here but im running in to a snag. It seems that when i go in to fullscreen mode with ie it runs correctly. However when i run it with mozilla I get a security error. Hitting continue, and repeating the process gives me the error again and im denied fullscreen. When i hit "dismiss all" and repeat the toggle it goes in to fullscreen.

I encoded locally for testing but it also plays across the network. Is that even relevant? I don't know.

It seems that when i remove the FileStream code the flash swf file works on the HTML page but when i revert back to add the FileStream libraries and code the flash flickers in IE 8 and Mozilla displays a Blank screen. Mar 23, 2009My flash movie is 1440x900 but the area where all the important stuff happens in within 1024x768, i am trying to keep the middle in the center regardless of browers size or aspect ratio.
I can center the page but it doesn't work as i need it to. If the browers is small (1024x768) the swf is justified against the left edge, but not keeping the middle in the middle of the brower.

Using contextMenu, i removed all BuiltInItems. Its working fine in IE.
when i am viewing the same html file in mozilla, "Show Redraw Regions" option is still visible when i am right clicking on browser. In IE, its fine.

The problem is the movie seems working when there is a alert on, without at least one alert msg, the code does not work, I am sure you people can solve, I can see that the following code works well in both Mozilla and IE, but only if the alert is ON, if I put it off, then the code does not work. I have one .fla file and two .as files. I think my problem is I don't know how to set the path for the action scripts. All three files are in the same directory
The files:
dtd.fla
TransformItem.as
TransformManager.as
The error: The class or interface 'gs.TransformManager' could not be loaded.
dtd.fla code appears to have an appropriate import: import gs.TransformManager; var manager_obj = new TransformManager([], onTransformEvent, true, false, false, false, false, true, true);
TransformManager.as code appears to have an appropriate import: import gs.TransformItem;

Sep 8, 2009I've got a SWF with buttons that are calling a javascript function using External Interface - specifically the Milkbox photo gallery. For various reasons, the page with the embedded SWF has to work online as well as being run from someones local machine. The online version runs fine on every OS/browser. However, I've run into a snag where, for some reason, the local version isn't firing the javascript on Win XP in any browser.Is there perhaps some snag with using External Interface locally on an XP machine, or is there something else at play here? FYI, no problems at all on Vista/any browser.

Apr 14, 2009I have an object in the library that is linked with class Myclass, I define MyClass in its own AS file and everything runs ok, but as soon as I remove the linkage of the object with the class the compiler generates an error with a seemingly totally different class, that class is part of an open source data structure library for AS3, unrelated to that library object or class MyClass.
The error code is 1044: Interface method ****** in namespace ******* not implemented by class ********.And of course I checked and the class implements the interface methods, all of them so there should be no errors.The library I'm using is a [URL] and the class reporting errors is HashMap and HashTable.
Increase Size Of Flash CS4 Interface?
Nov 17, 2009how can I increase the size of flash CS4 interface? Meaning also to enlarge tools buttons, so they are easier to see. I have to strain my eyes, because all of the toolbars and text related to them are too small, for constant work.Is this possible? I know there is one way - to increase display DPI settings, but that would also increase the whole desktop, but I would like just to increase flash interface text size and if it is possible then also tool buttons.
