ActionScript 3.0 :: Change $_FILES['Filedata'] Input Value?

I'm making an uploader in flash that has 3 input fields with each FileReference, and one upload button to make them work. By now, I can upload the three files, but I want to put them in different folders with the php file. So, I need a way to get the input name in the flash source, and change the 'Filedata' (default), for that specific value.

I got an input function in witch i set all the variable i want to display. To make it clean i would like to input any number of vars without having to change my input function to avoid the "Expecting more/less arguments". Then i would like to get any type of var (bool num int ....) in the input and then check their type, instead of declaring the first input var being exclusively a number for example. Is that possible and how, don't know if i was clear,

i made a textInput, that affects the number of items on stage, now what i want is when i change the number of the input text, i want to see the items number change tooi do that, then i press enter, but nothing actually happens,

I have a cart system I designed, in the check out process the user fills out their billing info and are given the option to check a box if the shipping info is the same.
I would like to have an event listener which looks for the box being checked and at which point changes the var's on the input texts for shipping to the ones used in billing info. So in essence checking the box will populate the shipping info fields.

Using the text tool, I have made a Input Textbox with the instance name of voca2_pg and the other one is voca3_pg. It has a text inside: 1 and 11, respectively.Now I made a button that should send info to the input text that when I click the back button, text will change to a lower number, or when I click the next button it will change to a higher number. I have created three input textfields for the first, middle and last names in a form and then to pass the input to 3 dynamic texboxes, the middle name is optional so someone might not fill it out and the dynamic textbox would show "undefined", how to make the unfilled input textfield result in a blank/empty dynamic textbox?

I am build an Flash program to drill elementary math students.My problem.I am having the students enter in a Input Text box the answer to a Mathematical equation, i.e. 1+1= Input Text Variable. My issue is when I check the answer to see if it is correct Actionscript 2.0 sees the entered Input as text not a numeric value so I cannot compare it against the calculated value. How do I change the input text into a numeric value. I have tried declaring the var as Number but that didn't work.

I am trying to build a search angine for an application I am developing. I need my list to update itself every time there is a change in the Input Text box (backspace or additional character). I have no errors but the function does not work the way I want it to.
The function compares letters in a specific position within my 2 strings (charAt(j)) and disregards the previous letters, plus it deos not "update" but only adding new strings to my list.

I have a text box which I want to display a certain text on it when it loads, say, "demotext", for example. However, I want it to clear that text when the user clicks on it and then only displays stars when they type (as if it has turned into a password box when they clicked on it). For example. I have a particle system with a set number of particles active on the screen at any time "numOfParticles". I am trying to be able to change "numOfParticles" to define itself based on whatever number you input in the input_txt field. So far I am able to display the number of particles into the input text box:

Now I want to be able to change that value based on user preference.

I have 10 text input. (txtin1, txtin2, txtin3,.....) I going to change the maxChars for every text input but I going to do that dynamic in a loop. I have tried

Is there a way to reset the insertion point of the caret to any position within an input textfield. I would like to reset it to position 0. The only thing I can find is caretIndex prop but that is read-only. I tried setSelection(0,1) but that didn't work either.

How do i get the font to change when the user types encode in the Input box then presses enter and then it changes the font in the Output box (which is dynamic) and also embed the font in the output box. So when they type inteh input box the font changes in the Output box.

I have a textfield that is filled by a querystring.
example: http://www.domainname.com?dName=Michael+&+Mary+Heatherbaum
myTextfield.text=myQueryStrings.dName.toUpperCase();
If the persons name is only 3 letters I want the font size to be 120 but based on the amount of characters, I would like to shrink the font size in order to fit the whole name inside the text field. I was playing with autosize, but couldn't get it to work.

I have a separate html page that does this with a php script,reating that php file which is just a form that allows users to enter a passcode that I provide them which will then simply link them to an external html page. Since I don't know about php, I am thinking a possible work around would be to have a text input box which would allow a user to enter (passwordA) then click Submit to load (pageX.hmtl) or they could enter (passwordB) and Submit would load (pageY.html)

I've got a form that the user enters numeric values in to a series of text Input fields. I want to allow the user to use the arrow keys in addition to the tab keys to control the active focus of the fields.
I set up a 2D array with the names of the input fields as values. I'm trying to call the name of the input field from the array and then assigning the focus, but I'm getting Error 1067 implicit coercion errors.
