ActionScript 3.0 :: Convert Frame By Frame To Tween/Nested Animation?

I have an problem whereby I have created a Frame by Frame dancing human figure and now I want to move it across the screen as well as scale it using a Tween.
I have spent quite some time slightly adjusting the upper arms, forearms, hands, legs etc and creating a new keyframe for each movement. All the movements are all in one layer... ie the forearm doesn't have it's own layer etc. I am running the animation at 24fps so there is quite bit going on.
I now realise that I should have created a symbol/movie clip from the first image I created and then scaled and moved the image first before animating it's limbs but I only realized that after hours of work and I would hate to start all over again.
So basically what I have is a dancing human figure in the one spot moving it's arms and legs and I want it to move across the screen and become larger by scaling it using a Tween. I could of course re-edit each keyframe by slightly scaling and the slightly moving the figure but that will take quite some time to get right as there will be a fair bit of trial and error doing it that way.

My objective is to paste together several ( a lot, actually ) armature animations, each in a separate symbol.I have no idea how to do it, armature layers are a bit... strange. So i see only one solution: convert it to a regular layer.

In the old motion model it was as easy as highlighting all of the frames, converting them to keyframes then removing the tween. But I have no clue how to do it with the new motion model.

I have an instance of a movie clip that runs and after it runs I want it to call a frame to gotoAndStop back on the main timeline (stage). What is the code for that? When the animation ends, I am simply giving it a stop(); and then I want it to go to the next frame on the main timeline. I think this used to be _root in AS2.

I have 3 frames each with a movie clip called map_mc. Each different map_mc have different objects that call the CollisionDetect class. Heres whats happening. objects from frame 1 will start freaking out when I goto frame 2. How do I remove only the event listeners from objects only on frame 1?
I have been trying this.currentFrame but the problem is that all the objects are inside map_mc on the first frame so no matter what it will always be 1. On the other hand MovieClip(root).currentFrame will always give me the current frame but wont tell me what the objects frame is relative to the stage.What I want to do is have something to this effect:MovieClip(root).this.currentFrame would output that this object is on frame 1 and MovieClip(root).currentFrame will tell me that the stage is on frame 2 so I can remove the listeners accordingly.

I am trying to get just a single pose from an armature layer without copying the whole layer. I just want the exact arrangement of symbols from a specific frame of the armature layer alone; in one keyframe; without the armature; into a normal layer. I tried a few things, like breaking apart and copying the individual keyframe (ctrl+click on the frame I want and "copy pose"). I thought about converting an armature layer into a frame-by-frame animation so I can just copy the one frame like I want, but it's apparently not an option. When I tried the break apart option it just breaks down the first frame of the armature layer into one big vector graphic. I've even tried highlighting every frame except the one I want to use and pressing Shift+F5. Nothing I've tried so far works.
This is annoying because if I don't find a solution, I will have to take each separate symbol used in this frame of the armature layer and individually align them all in the exact same position in the normal layer

I am a first time flash-maker, and I sure how to get things to work as planned.I have written the following code:

But my problem is that i have a motion tween that startes at frame 5 and ends at frame 25. And the code says that at will go to and stop at frame 25.what I really want it to do, is to go to frame 5, play the motion, and stop at frame 25.

I've created a multi frame MC for placing each of my slide out images on and have added a tween slide out MC.my onrelease is working and I've correctly switched the image frame for the relevant picture being clicked before playing the tween MC.However once the MC stops playing the image MC is reverting back to showing frame one image.Why is this happening? Also why when the slide out MC is over the smaller clicklable image the hit area is still available through the image being shown?I've ensured that the slide out MC is on the top most layer, how do I make its backgroud solid so any clickable item underneath is not available.

I am making a frame by frame animation, where I draw a character, make a new frame and use the onion skin to slightly move my character. Is there a way to make a certain part faster than others? I made a character prepare to kick someone, but since i was doing it frame by frame it looks slow. So instead of taking out frames and making it look choppy, how do I make a certain part faster or increase its FPS? I tried making a new scene and changing its FPS, but that still changes the overall FPS.

I have a project that involves flash animation- almost movie like. I need some advice on how to do flash animation. I think I'll create the graphics in illustrator. Basically, the storyline is this:
- guy leaves house and walks to car
-starts engine, puts on shades and speeds off
-scenes of downtown chicago (nightlife)
-view license plate
What is the best way to do this? create graphics in illustrator for frame by frame? Should I use after effects? The client doesn't have a high budget so video is out of the question.

I have a button in "frame 1" that leads to "frame 2". The file has simple code:

The problem is no transition when the frame changes. Is it possible to apply Tween transition when the frame changes?

I created a frame by frame animation using the default elapsed time. There are 41 frames, and it is completed in 1.7 seconds. I would like the whole sequence to complete instead within 30 seconds. How can I change the timing? I am using Adobe Flash CS4 Professional (v. 10.0.2).

I am developing a game for the Android platform using flash cs5 and AS3.
problem: the game will run at 24-29 fps until I call a movieClip that has frame by frame animation, then it will drop to 10-14 FPS. It looks perfect on my PC and does not lose frames until I move it to my Evo for testing. I have tested on an Epic also and I do not lose Frames which leads me to believe that it is the pixil population in the evo that is causing the problem but I have tried everything I can think of to not make it so intense on the graphics but same results every time.
It's a 20 frame animation and my FPS in flash is set to 24

I know I can export a simple tweened animation using "Copy Motion as Actionscript 3.0" and passing the resultant XML to an Animator object. But what I'd like to do is export a frame-by-frame animation and use that in my code.
As for why I want to do this, I'm trying to simulate a post-it being ripped off of a white board. Doing it and getting it to look natural using just code is going to be difficult, so I was thinking of having a designer at my company do a frame-by-frame animation of it and then using that.

I have been using a template from the Adobe Flash Professional CS5 from Media PlaybackSimple Photo Album.I added 15 frames and and used the built in Action and Playback buttons (3 buttons. What i want ot do is make it look like the Controller as seen below.I would like the movie to be able to be controlled frame by frame, go to the beginning etc. just like the controller. I am having a hard time understanding what to do. I have added buttons but when i do it flips out and scrolls through the frame by frame without stopping.

I created an animated logo in Flash 8 that is 129 frames long, i want an animation to repeat from frame 36 to frame 129 for four times and then go back to frame 1 and play again. I inserted "gotoAndPlay(36);" on the last frame of the animation but that will play the animation in loop from fframe 36 to 129, i want to play it for 4 times only

handling of frame-by-frame bitmap animations?I'm putting together an app with an animated character that stands on screen and moves around doing animations. Each animation (Talking, Dancing, Jumping, etc) is an individual Movie Clip made up of around 50+ PNGs in sequence. I'm using CS3 to create the clips, and export them as SWCs for use in Flex.
The problem is memory usage. It seems that Flash will place the entire movieclip into memory , and when we are talking 50 frames, 256w x 256h, 24-bit color, 8-bit alpha, that's a lot of memory (so (256*256)*4 = 250k each frame * 50 frames = ~13 megs of memory for each clip). Couple that with the fact that Garbage Collection doesn't seem to happen very often, and this simple little app takes can take up 300megs+ of memory.

so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.

I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.
I'm halfway to accomplishing this.
Here is what i used

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".

I always face this problem when coding with flash, and still not able to get a solution for this problem....
if the nested mc is in the 1st frame then I can use: Level1_mc.Level2_mc.Level23_mc.gotoAndStop("2");
If refering nested btn I will use: MovieClip(parent).gotoAndStop("2");
so my question is, how about refering an mc from main timeline into nested mc but different frame( frame 4,5 or 6....)?

I've got a play and stop buttons on the stage which are controlling some 3 nested MovieClips, It controlls Well the MovieClip which is located on the first frame, but when I want to stop/play the other two MC's (frames 2 & 3) I get the following error -
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at jukebox_fla::MainTimeline/playMP3()
I know the problem is that I just can't control any other Nested Instances of a MovieClip Unless it is located on it's First frame. How can I stop/play the other 2 MC's (Frames 2 & 3) by coding from the main stage?

On my main timeline, I have a movieclip called "mainpage". Within "mainpage", I have a button that when clicked upon, needs to go back to the main timeline, into another movieclip, and to a specific frame in that movieclip. The code I've been using for all my other buttons is this:

In that particular case, the button is going up to the parent movieclip of it's parent to a specific frame label.The problem I'm having is that I need for this button within "mainpage", rapp_proj_btn, to go to the main timeline, go into a movieclip a few frames down called "portfolio_content" (on a frame labelled "Portfolio"), and to a frame labelled "rapp". No matter what I've tried, I can't seem to target the "portfolio_content" movieclip, even though I've put the instance name on it and everything. I can, using the code below, get the rapp_proj_btn to go to "Portfolio", but I can't get inside that "portfolio_content" movieclip that sits on that frame.
This is the code I use to get to the proper frame:

I have a MC on my stage that has 2 buttons nested inside. So, the problem is that I have a stop(); actions on the first frame ( first frame is blank ) and I only play the movie once someone rolled over another button outside this MC. Because I'm giving the instructions to my buttons from the timeline. I have all the code on a frame and am calling the buttons from there but it seems that the buttons won't work properly if they are not placed on the first frame.
Example:
_root.myMC.otherMC.myButton.onRelease = function(){
getURL("[URL]","_self");
}
That simple thing won't work if the button are placed the way they are now, it seems that flash can see the button only if they are at frame 1... and no, I don't want to put the code directly on the button, I want to make it work this way.

Trying to create a link from an html page to the contact section of a flash website. I understand how to link to a specific frame by creating an anchor over the target frame, but it only works if its in a single movie. The problem is that the section I want to target is on a deeply nested movie which the main movie loads such as

I am using flash cs3 and I have a series of quotes that fade in and out. I have a movie clip that does the fading in and out and then nested in there I have the quotes.
fadeInOut1_mc (is the instance of the fading in and out)
quotes1_mc (is the instance of the timeline of quotes nested in the above movie clip)
When the quotes end I would like the main timeline in Scene 1 to move to the next frame and play.
fadeInOut1_mc is in the timeline of Scene 1
If I could do that I think I'd be off to the races, but I'm stuck on it.
