Ive a column chart with 50 dynamically created bars and i want to extract the colors of these 50 bars and assign to headers in a datagrid which shows same kind of information . So pls let me know the way to extract the color assigned to bars .

I want to allow users to select a range of values on the X-axis via 2 sliders separate from the chart itself (one for the minimum value, one for the maximum.) By default the column bars are blue. But when the user selects a range, I would like to highlight that range in the chart a different color (eg. orange). How can this be done using ActionScript?
View 0 RepliesI'm trying to prevent a default chart item roll over highlight in a Spark column chart.If you look at any of the chart examples on this page , when you roll over any of the chart series items, they turn a darkened shade of their original colour. This is what I want to prevent.
So far I have had no luck with using the itemRollOverColor property, as this only allows you to set it to one specific colour for the whole chart (my app has several different coloured series on the chart at once). Also, trying to leverage the itemRollOver event (with preventDefault() etc) hasn't worked either.
I have created a Bar chart(having total 4 bars), wherein there is a gap between these bars. how to remove this gap between the bars as there is no inbuild property available...

Example: I have 8 columns representing agreement percentages between groups of people and want to change the fill color (or otherwise highlight) of all the columns that have over 80% agreement.
Apparently, it is not possible to have a chart with several independant horizontal axis. What I am trying to achieve is :
Display a bar chart, organized by any category
Overlay a line (actually a single horizontal line) on top of it (to display some sort of threshold)
I tried doing the following :

This is the closest to what I want, except that the line does not start span all the graphs vertically (it is drawn only between the two columns of my bar chart). Is it possible to define a completely independant horizontal axis? I also tried drawing directly on the canvas, but the canvas.lineTo() method only works in "data" coordinate; I would need something that works in "chart/canvas/absolute/whatever" coordinates.
I have a column chart that displays several items. When you click the bar of one of the items, the chart changes to display a new chart of details of that item. However, if the mouse is not moved, the datatip from the first chart is now visible on the second chart. Is there a way to hide the datatip when the first bar is clicked and then show the new datatip for the second chart once it's visible?

This works fine for all but the horizontal grid line at the top of the chart (at y=6). If I change the maximum value for the y-axis to something different then this new max doesn't have the formatting applied (but all the others do).
how do I get the top line to be black like the rest of the grid lines?

I have the minWidth set on all of the DataGridColumns and the width set on one of them. If I simply maximize/minimize the display (in browser or stand-alone flash player) of the application, the columns scale up and down nicely. But if you grab the edge of the application and drag it to make it bigger, only one column grows really big. When you drag the size down again, the one column remains big, but all of the other columns get squished way down.

View 1 RepliesI've manually customized the look and feel of the scroll bars for scroll pane component and it works fine. I've two different files that have different visual styles for scroll bars. Now I want to merge these two files. I can resolve the naming conflicts but both of the them are using same asset names and action scripts (I think in the class definition).
So basically my question if how can I have two different scroll bars implemented in one file?
Is there any reason why a scrollbar would not show up in a popup window? THe popup window is a dreamweaver document.URL...If you click on the "Interior" button, and then click on any of the balusters a popup window will appear with 4 images. This popup window has no scrollbar?? It should, and I didn't do anything to tell it to "not show a scrollbar".The scrollbar shows up on my Mac, but does not show up on my friends Mac, nor does it show up on my PC?Also, I have been doing a few tests on this page on the first few balusters (trying to get around the scrollbar issue), so maybe pick the 5th baluster, rather than the first one? Some are saying it's a bug w/ CS4, others are saying its something to do w/ non-square pixels.My dilema is, I have some .mov files created in Final Cut Pro with a 4:3 aspect in NTSC. I need to convert them to .flv so I can stream them on a website. My current settings are:
FLV - Web Large, PAL Source (I'm using PAL because it seemed to create a better quality video when I was streaming)

When I export the files and try to play them in a web flash player (480x400) I get black bars on the top and bottom. I don't really have a lot of experience doing video editing so I'm shooting in the dark here.I have adjusted a lot of the pre-mentioned settings but still no luck.

View 4 RepliesI have a file uploader that uses a file reference list (FRL) to upload files. However what I want to do is use the FRL to display all the images/files that were selected and then display them in either a list, or photo gallery. I would lean more towards the photo gallery approach but I don't know how to dynamically lay out the thumbnails properly. What's the best way to display the thumbnails in rows 3 pictures wide and then skip down a line etc.
Now ofcourse I don't know how many files will be selected so my next question would be can I draw the thumbnail gallery in a seperate container (or frame sort of like in VB) and then have that container have it's own scroll bars? In most other programming languages I would have no problem doing this but I am a bit new to flash and I am a bit stumped.

View 1 RepliesI am using full screen flash to make my flash movie fill the browser window. I also, need for it to have a scroll bar, as it's 1400 pixels vertical. For normal full screen flash, you set the height and width to 100 percent. But because I needed a scroll bar, I changed the height to "1400" pixels instead. This created the scroll bar I needed, but it only works in Internet Explorer, and not firefox or safari. How I could ensure that I have a scrollbar on all browsers?
