ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash BitmapData & StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN Clash?

Oct 26, 2011

There are lot of posts with regards to Security problems when trying to use draw("file"); method on external file, however I've got this problem trying to use draw(stage) in FullScreen Mode.Is this a case that using draw() on stage in FullScreen mode is impossible?Is there any workaround to do that?

Code:
package {
import flash.display.StageAlign;
import flash.display.StageScaleMode;
import flash.display.MovieClip;

ActionScript 3.0 :: Mouse Event ROLL_OVER And ROLL_OUT Clash?

Mar 23, 2011

I have a little complicated set of ROLL_OVER and ROLL_OUT event handlers which are getting clashed.

I have following movieclip symbols on the stage:

Background
Bounds (child of Background)
Design (child of Background)
Circle1 (child of Background)
Circle2 (child of Background)

Design and Circle1 should get displayed when the mouse rolls over Bounds. Similarly, Circle2 should get displayed when the mouse rolls over Circle1. Circle1 and Circle2 are concentric and Circle2 is bigger.

Now, the problem is that, when the mouse cursor is rolled over on the common area of the two circles, the event handlers (ROLL_OVER as well as ROLL_OUT) of Bounds and Circle2 get called continuously.

I tried to get rid of the event handlers for Bounds under the ROLL_OVER event handler of Circle2 by using removeEventListener() but to no avail.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Error #2015: Invalid BitmapData At Flash.display::BitmapData()

Oct 14, 2009

I am trying to use the reflect class from "http://pixelfumes.blogspot.com/2007/03/reflection-class-v3-with-source .html" but I keep getting this error:

btw, first I used assigned thumbContainer as the mc argument (outside the loadThumbs() function) and it worked but not exactly what I wanted... because I thought it is supposed to update when the movieclip is animated but it actually didn't... when I use a scroller, only the thumbs that are first loaded to the stage get the reflection..

ActionScript 3.0 :: Dealing With Positioning In FULL_SCREEN?

Apr 23, 2009

I have an app that has a fullscreen button that goes into fullscreen NO_SCALE. Keeps everything looking sharp. However, all of my movieclip positions aren't correct. To fix this, I need to use:

Code:
stage.addEventListener(Event.RESIZE, stageResize);

Then, in my stageResize function, I duplicate all my movieclips' x and y and (if necessary) widths. This seems wrong and cumbersome.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Full Screen - Doesn't Work Clicking on fullscreen brings you to fullscreen but the mc positions stay put. Here's the code for this one:

Code:
var btn_fullScreen:btnFullScreen = new btnFullScreen();
var btn_normalScreen:btnNormalScreen = new btnNormalScreen();
var bar_bg:barbg = new barbg();

ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamic Button Is Not Working In Full_Screen Mode?

Mar 5, 2009

I have a movie clip button with a dynamic text field inside.I am loading dynamically to the stage while a video is running in the background.I also have a fullscreen button (Flash component)on the stage. After clicking the fullscreen button and in Full_Screen mode the static buttons including the full screen button work without a problem, but the dynamic button seems not to work at all. Basically the dynamic button when clicked should change its message to "You have clicked button 1".This works in normal mode, but not in Full screen.I tried btn_cuePt_1.enabled= true; but without success.Does it have something to do with not using the fullscreen events?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Setting StageDisplayState To Full Screen?

Oct 27, 2011

I keep gettting the above error  when setting my StageDisplayState to full screen. I can't seem to figure out why. All the locations in my index.html to allow full screen are set to full (at least that i can find in the index.template.html file)  e.g.

<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
From what I have read, it seems I should be able to fix it with
Security.allowDomain();

However not sure what to inject into the allowDomain() method as it is a local file. This also make me think, I should not need this.

Unable To Trigger Dynamic Button Event In Full_Screen Mode?

Mar 6, 2009

I have a movie clip button with a dynamic text field inside. I am loading the mc dynamically to the stage. In Full_Screen mode static buttons including the full screen button work without a problem, but the dynamic button event does not trigger when clicked. In this simplified code belwo the dynamic button when clicked should change its message to "You have clicked button 1". This works in normal mode, but not in Full screen.I tried btn_cuePt_1.enabled= true; but without success.

Does it have something to do with not using the fullscreen events?
exp. stage.addEventListener(FullScreenEvent.FULL_SCREEN, s_function)

Structure of my button is: Think of it as three layers inside a movie_clip. I used an empty button on the top layer so I would get a pointer cursor, I used a dynamic textfield the one that should change after the event to "You have clicked button 1", and last but not least the button graphic.

Actionscript 3 :: Full Screen Mode Not Allowed With StageDisplayState?

Mar 10, 2012

There is a parent Flex application that allows you to embed custom tools in it (SWF files).

I have inspected the HTML wrapper for the parent and it uses SWFObject, and has full screen permitted:

<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />

I am trying to put together a tool that simply takes the parent application to & from full screen mode.

Here is a simplified version of the code. I have tried several variations, but still had no luck.

Actionscript 3 :: Quickly Rotate The Pixels That Make Up BitmapData Without Using BitmapData.draw()?

Dec 29, 2011

I've been using BitmapData.copyPixels() to draw graphics onto a canvas (Bitmap).I need to rotate the resulting graphics without the use of draw() because it's vastly slower.How can I rotate the target graphic? I'm assuming that there might be a formula or library that I can use which will first reorganize the pixels that make up a graphic based on an origin (point) and radians.I'm pretty certain that I'm not capable of creating such logic, so if there are any known libraries that do this, that would be awesome.I'd like to achieve something similar to XNA's SpriteBatch.Draw() method, which accepts rotation as its 5th argument.

Actionscript 3 :: Graphic Object BitMapData Type The Same As BitmapData Type?

Dec 29, 2009

The title might be a little misleading. Look at my code and I will explain

public static function loadTile(tileDir:String = "empty"):void
{
if(tileDir != "empty")
{
tPoint = new Point(0,0);
tRect = new Rectangle(0,0,30,30);

[Code]...

I am trying to do tiling with sprites. I want my tiles to be interactive, so that is why I am using the sprite object instead of using regular bitMaps to represent my tiles. You might be wondering why I wouldnt just use graphics.beginBitmapFill(tImage); and graphics.drawRect(0, 0,tWidth ,tHeight ); to pick out the tiles I want to use. Well reason being is because it turns out that drawRect() first and second parameters actually alter the location of where the actual sprite sits at.

So if I set the x and y properties of the sprite to x = 20, and y = 20. then I set my drawRect(20,20). it actually adds an extra 20 pixels to my x and y coords of my sprite. And I know the reason why, I just need to know a better way.

Flash :: Alternative To Bitmapdata For Snapshotting?

I'm currently loading a remote swf through as3 (with a domain policy to allow all from that domain - the policy file can't be changed by myself), that i want to take a snapshot of. The problem is that the main swf that i load, is loading child swf's from another domain that does not have the allow all policy turned on.. This makes the snapshot feature call a "sandbox security" error. I'm wondering if there's an alternative to the bitmapdata draw function to still take a "snapshot" without conflicting the sandbox security.
