But the issue is that I have some subscript and superscript in my text and this option is disabled in the dynamic text field.

Jul 15, 2010How would I go about Embedding SubScript/SuperScript fonts in a Flex UITextField ? I have already downloaded the required fonts. I need to make them work in a UITextField in Flex. I have tried using CSS/Stylemanager etc. , and tried using createInFontContext also... Still it does not work. The fonts only work if they are installed on the user PC. i.e. they do not get embedded in to the application.

1) I can't figure out how to have URL links in the text that loads.
2) How can I make the scroller refresh to allow for new text in the dynamic text area. The content changes alright, but the scroller stays in the same position and if it wasn't needed initially, the scroller disappears and doesn't return on new text.

Mar 2, 2011I am working in Flash CS5 and I have placed a text field (dynamic, classic text) on the stage. I am accessing it through Actionscript on the same frame like this:

What ACTUALLY appears is this: So... The H, Ls, and D are gone. Mysteriously. Without warning. I am sitting here utterly confused. Is this just me?
PS. The text field is set to Myriad Pro Bold, a font on my computer, so it isn't like it's a font problem.

Is there a way to pass the textfield A text to a dynamic text input (flash) as I'd like to use the font embedding flash offers. I can make it work when loading a value from a txt file but I'm not sure how to access the value identified above as KitGroupID_16_TextOption_38 and make it appear in a dynamic input box. Eventually I might want to have 3 font choices for the user but I'd like to just see if I can get this working properly first.

I put one in a movie clip and when i try to change the alpha of it everything else in it changes its alpha but the not the DT box. Sep 26, 2010I'm new to Flash Pro programming, and am trying to create a button-type symbol where I can set the label. The problems I'm running into are as follows. If I make the symbol type=Button, I can't add ActionScripts in the frames and/or access any subcomponents? Why is this so? If I make the symbol type=MovieClip, I can add ActionScript and access sub-components, but can't figure out how to make the HandCursor show up on hover?
