ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash Loading An Image In The Wrong Part Of The Movie Clip

I am having trouble loading an image where i really want. Here is the code that i am using:

The CELL movie clip it has 3 more movieclips inside, i want to load the image in a particular one inside the CELL movie clip... the previous code works, but seams that it is loading in the cell movie clip... The other 3 movieclips are A, B, C... i want to load the image in cell.c

I'm tired and this is tiring me.
EDIT: When I traced "testimage._width", it returned 0. But when I traced "testimage._x", it returned 50 as it should.
I have only been doing flash for less than a week and I mostly do animations but I want to learn AS.
I have saved my pictures in a folder (i.e. /images/) and linked the file name to a mysql database (i.e. test.png) I can make a php file that makes the links to the images

So heres what I want to do,
1.) I am making a logo for my site and I want my pictures to show up in a movie clip (the newest picture first)
2.) If a user clicks on that picture/movie clip it takes them to a specific page
3.) How would I set up controls so a user could switch through the latest six pictures.
I am having trouble loading an external image into a movie clip. I have doubled check my path and but still my code isn't working. I must be missing something fundamental but I can't see it.

I have a png clipart image dynamically loading into a movie clip. Is there a way in AS2 in which it would get the different color layers used in that clipart to display the color pickers related to those color layers. So that once i change the color in that color picker it would change it in the clipart as well. Basically i want flash to communicate with the png layers.
Im trying to make a page where i duplicate a movie clip where i would load my images externally from a folder. Each duplicated movie clip should have a different image inside it. It doesn't seem to work. Here is the source code i made:

I am attempting to make an Infinite Slider Menu (in this case picture folio...)using duplicate movie clip and dynamic image loading. I'll worry about the cascading part later, i just need to make this work right now.
I'm trying to get an external image in a movie clip symbol when the movie is opened and I'm having no joy. I can get it to work with a mouse over event...

I'm loading a external swf into a movie everything is fine with that. The only problem is that its loading only a part of it. Does anybody know why? Also, this swf is a mp3 player with streaming. The streaming part works but the playback doesn't.If i start only the mp3 player by itself it's working.here is the fla for the player
Is there a way to change the color of just part of a movie clip? For example, if you had a space ship composed of a movie clip that uses several colors and you would like to change the color of the just the nose of the space ship, is there a way to do that? That is to say can you replace one just the pixels of one color with the pixels of another color.
I essentially have some game pieces that I would like to change to different colors for different computer players without drawing all the pieces again for each of 10 different colors. But I don't want to change the color of an entire game piece--just part of it.
I would like to load the draggable menu externally into another SWF movie. I have my main movie (main.swf) and the draggable menu movie (draggable.swf). I can get the draggable.swf to load into the main.swf, however, I can't seem to figure out how to get the external draggable.swf to work within the main.swf. Once it's loaded, it is totally static
As I didn't find another place for Flash Player 10.1 standalone-subjects (only 10.2. or the browser-players),When I open my .swf with double-click from the finder, it opens in FP 10.1. - but an _older_ project (which is located in a completely different place) will load! And it opens twice No matter, what new .swf I am creating, it's always this old file that will start.When opening the same .swf in FPlayer 9, it works fine.

I've been trying to load a movie clip from a movie clip that has been loaded. I am trying to provide a simple means to change the look / feel of the flash application by placing the graphics and controls into a second swf. Each different screen is represented by a different movie clip that is in the second swf. So I've got app.swf loading ui.swf. I want to load screen1_mc from ui.swf.
The app.swf is loaded by a master swf. There may be multiple copies of the app.swf that can be loaded by the master.swf and each app.swf could be configured differently. For each "unique" app.swf it is stored under a unique folder that is not known to me in advance. Since I don't know the unique folder in advance, I can't use import / export for runtime sharing. Is there any way to load the movie clips from the loaded movie clip? (Basically, I want to treat the ui.swf as an extension to the library.)
I'm working on a flash site and I'm having some trouble with the programming for it. I'm not so great at action script, so I'm hoping that my troubles are caused by my own stupidity and that some cool smart person will have an answer for me. So, I have a main menu flash file that functions like the one in this tutorial: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/p...transition.htm I set it to load various swf files and it's works just fine. What I want to do is have it load a swf that functions exactly the same (buttons that load external clips with transitions) as the main swf- this is a sub page menu. So, in theory, the sub menu page should load the final content, and three swfs would be seen stacked ontop of each other.
I changed the instance names in the sub menu file to be different than that in the main menu file. This fixed the original problem of it loading the content clip into the clip that the sub menu should stay in. Now, It loads the sub menu just fine, but then it gets stuck and never loads the content. The sub menu buttons will not function at all. Independent of the main menu, the sub menu file works perfectly What can I do??? Does it have anything to do with the "_root"? I never understood the concept, so I'm having trouble with it.
Anyway, i have this picture/movie clip inside the library which will be displayed partially in the flash and i want to secure the image/movie clip if there is somebody want to extract it and view it. What is the best method here?
I am trying to find out how to pause or stop an image in a basic flash movie clip, after it has entered from one side and before it exits the other side.I have been trying to work it out myself for three days but no joy. I am practicing for a test with a training agency which gave me a disk to use but nowhere in it does it say how this is done. I am also having a lot of difficulty making stop start buttons work with this movie clip. I am using a trial cs5.5 version of Flash which expires in 7 days so i need to know this soon. I am up to speed on most of the features, its just this one thing that has me stumped. A lot of the tutorials or examples i have found on the net are very long winded and hard to follow exactly.
I have a flash movie clip and need to load an external image inside the clip that reference to an external URL.. like URL i did something with XML but the image persist on every clip because it loads from actionscript using the x and y cords.
Question: i have to make an animated header for the web site. several seconds it's going on and is stoped with action script command stop(); but i need one elenment inside flash-header continue animating like here: [URL] a rolling logo in upper left corner of header. I'm using Flash CS4, and a template that I got from a friend to create a website.The template I have uses this "man figure" on the right side of the file. I want to make it so that this pictures loads a different picture each time the page refreshes. The picture can be randomly rotated to a different picture.I'm wondering if there is a possibility to do this, and if so, how should I go about it.My knowledge of Flash is very poor..Here is the template and swf file of the original file I have uploaded to a downlaodable website. Is it possible to change the transparancy of part of the image to have it fade into another in flash? or it must be done in photoshop. It was advertising some cream or something. there's a picture with wrinkles skin and when you scroll your mouse over it the part above the mouse remain the same but in bottom it's a different picture, does anyone know how to do that?
I am very beginner in flash. I want to load an image, show a cursor over the image and on mousedown I want to blur that actual part of the image. (e.g you can blur your face on the image and then save the new image).I can delete parts of the image with white line, but I would like to blur it instead

I was wondering about the flexability of loading movies into a movie clip. Currently, I am well able to load one movie into a movie "loader" clip, but thought maybe there is a way to load additional movie clips into that same "loader" clip, as i am starting to accumulate several different graphics that i need to have be inside movie clips so that i can make them change colors on the same frame when needed.

I have a .flv movie file that I purchased from Istockphoto.com. I have placed it in my Flash CS3 file, and it works fine. However, once it plays, it loops back to the beginning, and I would prefer to loop it at the last 5 seconds of frames, so that it doesn't replay the entire video. Can this be done with Flash actionscripting or do I need to somehow do it in a video editor? Which wouldn't be ideal, as it would make a much larger file size.
