I just added a mp3 song to my flash page and it plays well in preview and after it's published. But after I've uploaded it to my site along with the mp3 song, it doesn't play.I moved the mp3 onto the stage and that is how I set it up. Am I doing this wrong or do I need to code it somehow? If so, is there a simple way of doing this?

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

If you go to the website: [URL]. The white square is my embedded flash swf file, but as you can see it isn't playing. In Flash, when I test the movie, it plays beautifully. When I put it on my webpage, it's just blank. What bothers me is that I embed Flash swf files frequently with zero problems. The only difference is that this is a video. The swf file is properly uploaded to my server. I've attached the swf file for reference.

I'm trying to get a video to play in my flash movie on my website everything plays o.k except the video dose anyone know what I may need to do to get the video to play? P/S The video plays in the test browsers but not after I upload it and all of the files are uploaded.

I understand that I need to have an Xml playlist and some action script that references the videos to the player, but I have no clue on what to do.
I am looking to have a video begin as soon as the site loads and then have the buttons on the orange bar allow the user to navigate between other flv files. I would possibly be interested in including firther links on the video samples page.

View 4 RepliesI have apps in flash8 AS2 and flash10 AS3. When I open the AS2 apps in flash CS4 they don't work. This is a massive problem as I put them in a visual basic app with the flash 10 ocx. So the damn thing doesn't open them properly. I thought these things were backward compatible.
View 6 RepliesI have a 3,5 MB .swf file on my webpage it works perfectly well in firefox. But in internet explorer it doesnt seem to play. My guess is that IE uploads the whole .swf file before playing it. Can anyone here tell me how to let it work in IE as well?
View 6 RepliesI am loading mp3's externally as to not bloat the swf. However, only 1 out of 3 songs play (2nd song plays) for this jukebox I'm having to create for an assignment. I would think if one song played, they all would. I've checked the AS2 code and it all seems right to me; the song names and button instance names. When I export my flash movie to be hosted then embed it on my site (myspace) the flash banner(no controls) doesn't AutoPlay. I checked and unchecked Paused at Start in the publish settings, published and exported, but both times when I hover/click on the blank/unloaded movie the menu shows the Play option unchecked. My file has a preloader and the movie/content starts on frame 2. I have CS4/AS3.have the movie autopaly on it own. (I wish Adobe would have named the option Autoplay instead of Paused at Start,I wonder who came up with that).Here's my code:

How can I create a music flash file that will play on every page of the web site, I am going to have about 7 pages.

Now I want to play a small chime but I don't want to make the site dependent on Flash. It is just a chime to indicate a new chat, so it is not a huge stumbling block but I would like to find a way.
Is this possible - I am guessing no since you need something local to play the sound

I am developing an application for android 3.0 tablet, that's supposed to play swf files inside a WebView.First I tried to open the swf file from the device, than through the internet, with no luck.The WebView shows up, but inside the WebView all I can see is a black screen (with a 3-4 px wide white line on the right).If I load the same URL to the device browser, the flash file plays well.I think Im missing something on the WebView setup, but after a few hours of searching and googling I still dont know what.The Java code:

I created a flash video using flash CS3, and I pulished the html. The flash worked fine on my computer. When I uploaded the file to my videos folder on my server the video worked. But when I had the link to play the file on another directory it failed to show the video or play.[code]...

I first must right click and select play. When I was testing my flash site on another server, it worked great and played automatically. Is there something within flash that I need to modify or is this an issue with the server?
View 3 RepliesI have two embedded flv's in the timeline, one after the other. There are no errors in the video files. When the "playhead" in the exported swf comes to the end of the two combined videoclips, it jumps back to the first frame of the 2nd video clip for a fraction of a second, before playing from the start of the timeline as it is supposed to. I have explicitly done a "gotoandplay(1) in a separate action layer, at the last frame of the "movie", but that's not what happens.
View 0 RepliesI made a 'movie' in Premiere and exported as FLV., Its suppose to be a banner on the top of a web page. The site was made with Dreamweaver. When played locally, the banner does great. When I put it on the server, thats a different story. I can tell thats something is there because it loads the background color of the flash file but it doesn't play the FLV.

I'm using a preloader on my website. The preloader works fine on Internet Explorer, however when I tested it in Mozilla and on a Mac (running Netscape) there is a lockup on the preloader. The screen will just sit there and the website doesn't load. Both were running Flash Player 6 which is the version I'm aiming for. I found that if I refreshed the page the site would begin to work, but I doubt visitors to my site would do this and I don't want it to be required to get my site to work.
