ActionScript 3.0 :: Global Volume Slider (from Library) To Control Drag And Drop Xml Playlist?
Mar 3, 2011
3 circles which can be dragged over a target (one for each circle)When the circle is placed on its target it loads its respective xml playlist into 4 buttons (play, pause, forward, back)I want to be able to create some kind of function to control the volume, either using a slider or a rotary dial, whichever is easiest!
i want to make volume slider for adjust volume ..here i am getting some problem in startDrag and stopDrag method my volume slider Move when mouse cursor on stage (outside of the volume silder),, i assign two listener Mouse_DOWN and Mouse_UP .. for sliding i create One Rectangle (0,0,100,0)
Does anyone know of a way to adjust the volume of all the sounds in a swf? I'm looking to build a volume controller that changes the audio level of the swf.
i'm triying to do a slider bar for control volume but all scripts are for vertical or horizontal movement, but i need do it with a light inclination i have been thinking to give to the limits line a value of x an y for upper possition and other value for x and y for lower position but i don't know to do it.

I am struggling to make drag and drop playlist. User can drag boxes (which refers to swf or movie files) to a drop area to make a playlist and when press to play button it must show files in that playlist order.
I have a music controller that I can turn on/off, but I would like to add a triangle slider volume control too and also set the default volume to be 50% so the users can choose if they want to turn it up/down.
I followed your tutorial for the Volume Control Slider [URL] and it works well, but instead of having to press play and turn up the slider I would like the song to play at start and volume at like 50, 75 or 100%. I've messed around a bit but haven't been able to come up with anything that works
I created a graphic to simulate a volume slider. Its working, but i want a movieclip graphic (vol_switch) to follow the mask. It is only following it after i release the mouse. i cannot figure out how to have it follow on the mouse drag without taking precedence over the mask and disabling that. I tried the code in bold, but not working.
i am making a drag and drop jukebox that will play an xml playlist when an icon is dropped onto it's target.i have one xml playlist working, but i need to make a button that will reset all the movie clips to their original position when a playlist has been played.
I was wondering if there was a way to get the sound from a FLVPlayback component and manipulate it with using a custom volume slider? Within my Actionscript I currently have this code which enables me to control the volume of a MP3:
import fl.events.SliderEvent; var mysong = new music(); var myChannel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel(); var myTransform = new SoundTransform(); myChannel = mysong.play(0,10);
[Code]...
But Instead of using the MP3 for sound, is there a way to use an FLV's sound instead?
i have got a problem with actionscripting.That is i created 3 tab buttons and each tab buttons has got its symbols.I want to drag and drop them onto the canvas ,using drag and drop,but however when i click the second tab button the first symbol that i drag to the stage dissapears?Anyone knows how to make it stay .Is like a Signage developer for LTA(Land Transport Authority) Designer.
I have a problem trying to get this to work, I'm doing a drag and drop controling all its drag and drop elements inside of two arrays. The function is this:
- If the dragging element is dropped in certain "drop" MCs, it takes a new position above it.
- If the dragging element is dropped anywhere else, it returns to its original position.
No problem when dragging, and no problem when it takes its new place above the drop MCs. But it gets an odd behavior when I add the 'else' lines in order to return it to its original position.
Code: var ox:Number = drag1.x; var oy:Number; var drags:Array = new Array(10); var drops:Array = new Array(5);
I've created a small music player with a sliding volume control. I'm having trouble with the volume. Though it does control volume properly, if I set the initial volume to less than 100%, the volume always starts at 100% until I move my mouse over the player. At that point, the volume changes to whatever the initial volume is set to.Is this a flash bug, or am I missing something? Here is the affected code (code for other buttons/functions omitted for brevity):
var song_initvolume:Number = 100; slider_1._x = groove_1._x + song_initvolume; playSong(0,song_play);[code]....
I'd like to be able to set the volume at say 50%, but the above mentioned behavior happens each time.
I'm building a video player and am kinda stuck at the volume slider part. It's a YouTube style vertical slider, meaning if the slider is in the top position volume should be 100% and if the slider is dragged to the bottom position sound should be 0. Currently it's doing the opposite of what I want :(
Dragging the slider down will make the sound louder, while dragging up lowers it.
Here is my code below dealing with the volume slider.
[Code]....
The (-4) is an offset value so when you drag it all the way to turn it off, it's 0 and not 4. I need to reverse this somehow, so the traces above will swap... going down will make userVolume = 4 and going up will make it 30.
I am trying to implement a drag and drop function between a list control and a columnchart in Flex3. List items should, when dragged and dropped on the chart, be displayed raphically in the columnchart.Alas, dropping the listitems on the chart does not seem to result in a proper graph.Here my code till so far with regard to the drop part:
private function doDragDrop(event:DragEvent):void{ var ds:DragSource = event.dragSource; var dropTarget:ChartBase=ChartBase(event.currentTarget);
I want to make a drag and drop movie clip with rotating control in 360 degrees.I made a movie clip with 30 frames with a button in centre which can rotate the object in 360 degrees.At this stage it is functioning.when i tried to add the drag and drop action to the movie,the button for rotation is not working.
Here is what I am looking to do. Currently I have a drag and drop built in AS 3 that works perfectly fine, but I'm looking to add one more functionality. What I want to happen is when I drop the correct drag item on it's correct target piece (which is a movie clip) I want my target movie clip to go a head one frame.
So as an example I'm dragging a piece of paper onto a movie clip of of a waste basket. When I drop the piece of paper on it the waste basket, the waste basket movie clip moves a head one frame which shows a crumpled up piece of paper in it. Here is my current code for my drop eventlistener:
I'm trying to implement drag and drop tabs in TabBar control, but I can't figure out the index of a tab to drop. I tried to use getObjectsUnderPoint() method but I need some implementation how to find a tab to drop.
I am looking for a way to remove a movieclip from the stage when it is dropped (after a pause) and then have a new random movieclip appear at a specific point on the stage, which can then be dragged and dropped onto its own target (which repeats the process).
Code: var movieArray:Array = new Array(); movieArray = ["Red", "Green" , "Blue"];[code].....
just facing a difficulty with tree control drag drop..Suppose i have tree with drag-drop enabled.I want to which node(id) is droped inside which node. 1]if i drag "Cat1" node inside "Cat3",i want to identify ids of siblings of "cat1",and "cat3".2]in general i want to know the ids of current element being moved along withits new parent and new position and save these postions.3] Also "cat4" when moved outside "cat3",i want know its position and its siblings id.
How to get my audio scrubber to work, make the volume consistent whether you stop the song and restart or move to the previous of next song. Also, I just finally figured out how to add columns to my XML playlist by using a Datagrid but I do not know how to hook the playlist up to the XML in order to call the particular song that is clicked on.
I started this project working as a tutorial, but the tutorial only gave the basic XML audio jukebox set up, since then, I've been scouring forums, google, tutorials on youtube, etc. But I find that the code is so "method" specific, meaning that everything hinges on your particular way you decide to get to the end result.
1)Volume slider works, but the volume keeps reverting back to the default volume everytime the song is stopped and re-started or a new song is advanced to with the Previous or Next button - The volume needs to stay consistent at whatever volume level that the slider is left on.
2)PlayList needs to be functional. Right now, you can advance through the play list by using the jukebox previous and next buttons, but the playlist should have the ability to highlight whatever song is playing from the list as well as play songs independently when any song in the list is clicked. (I was able to do this successfully with the tutorial version which used a list component, but the only problem with that is that List components only allow 1 column - so I had to change to a datagrid to allot for my 3 columns)
3)Scrubber - I would like the scrubber to do what a scrubber does for each song when the song is being played.
I'm dragging from a TileList to a custom component. I want to know what is being dragged before I accept it. How do I set the "format" that is used for "event.dragSource.formats" in the DragEvent?
Edit for clarification: When you set "dragEnabled=true" on the TileList, it takes care of the drag source stuff, but it uses "items" as the format for the DragEvent. I'm looking for a way to have the TileList use the correct format.
I am trying to create a basic timeline, similar to the timeline we all use in flash (see attached).
I have a playhead slider, which when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I also have horizontal window scroller which also when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I am trying to work out how to get the horizontal window scroller to scroll when the playhead slider hits the left or right edge. I am using hittest for this collision.
I have the playHeadSlider scrolling along the top. When playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing I want mcContents to then move.
It kind of works.. mcContents moves when the playHeadSlider is in collision with the hittestThing.. but it just moves rather than 'drags' across. I have it set up so that mcContents is twice the width (approx) of mcScrollWindow.
I need to somehow update what I have so that if the playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing on the right, mcContents only moves to the right and if playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing2 on the left, mcContents only moves to the left.
i have a button, and i need to to see the volume to zero when this button is pressed, and when this button is pressed again, the volume goes back to 100
i have different pieces of audio all around my flash presentation so i just need a global volume that sets my volume to 0 and also to a 100 when pressing the button.
I'm a designer that inherited a project with a volume slider. I'm not that good with actionscript yet and haven't been able to figure out the code. The volume and slider starts at 100%, and I need it to start at 50%. Can you tell me how to set both the volume and slider at 50%? I'm sure it is a simple solution but I can't figure it out. I tried a few things but have not been able to get it to work correctly in both the volume level and start position for the sliderHere's the code on the 2nd frame of the mc:
Code: stop(); var NiVol:Sound = new Sound(_root.Container);
I made a volume slider which works with a draggable mc to control the volume. But I want to do a bit different slider using a mask like the slider in Component box. The aria I want to drag over is a rounded rectangle. I make a rectangle which will be my bound and i use the rounded rectangle to mask it. How should i continue.
Direct me to a volume slider tutorial that works for actionscript 3.0? there are some out there but they are all outdated.
I did one that enables me to mouse over an item and move it all over the screen, but I need to get it to scroll along an axis. thats where Im getting hung up.
I actually have a really cool project. an online studio that enables you to rehearse individual parts of songs that I prerecord.
I have a horizontal volume slider working, but I'm not sure how to give it the effect of lighting up as the volume is increasing or decreasing. I'm guessing it's something along the lines of controlling a separate movie clip via AS, but I'm not sure how to do it.
