The swf files has many hyperlinks. And this swf files are downloaded from an external source. So cannot change its source code. My question is that from javascript, jquery be made that all the hyperlinks that appear in the swf be open in a different window also which starts with an http:// location
when I try to make text or a button into a hyperlink within that tooltip, it doesn't seem to be usable in the preview. I click on the text/button, and it just doesn't do anything. I've tried coding it several different ways, and looked for an appropriate tutorial, but I haven't been able to find any luck. Is there something I'm missing? Can I even make hyperlinks in a tooltip that's made with that simplified code, or will I have to find another way to make them?
I recently made a .swf file which is hosted here [URL] as you can see the hyperlinks work fine and go to the correct sites. My question and impass is that whenever I post this same file as a forum signature it works fine but when I click on the hyperlinks they don't bring up the websites they act like they are dead.
btw the hyperlinks are just Text that I changed to Dynamic text with urls.
I'm trying to load an iframe into a div via ajax. The iframe serves Flash content.
There are four divs (above each other) with the same Flash-through-iframe implementation, and I show and hide these divs to correspond with the user's navigation. This works well, except in Safari. I triple-checked my JavaScript that toggles the divs (using display: none and display: show), but it doesn't work in Safari.
I have a web application that has javscript interspersed through the page. What happens is that safari will dump the source of the javascript code instead of executing it. I can reproduce this consistently. The page is a mashup of different forms of content: It loads flash videos using osflv and is generated via a php script on the server side. In addition the page also contains calls to Google Map's API to display a map. The content is placed in separate tabs using javascript to provide tab interaction. I am also using mootools, and not sure if that is potentially causing issues.
Here are the javascript includes: <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/mootools-1.2.1-core.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/mootools-1.2-more.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/sifr.js"></script> [Code] .....
I am sending over a JavaScript Array to ActionScript. The JavaScript code is as follows:
[Code]....
When I run this on Safari for Windows, arrayInput is null. However, this method works fine in Safari for Mac, IE, FF, Chrome, and the variable holds the actual array.
having a problem while resizing a flash object using jquery in Safari only on the following site:[URL]..When you navigate around I call javascript events when the flash object needs to change height and when that happens there is a quick flash where everything goes crazy and then it goes back to normal. Really weird, and I cannot figure out how to fix it.[URL]...
Let me know if you need any more info. I have drawn a blank fixing this one.
i followed the instructions oh how to make a centered pop up window here :i'm using a mac..nd it works in Safari... but when i try to use explore to open it, the pop up window doesn't come up...why is that.......? did i do something wrong?here is my website:and please click on 'message' to see for yourself.
I know there have been other questions on getting JavaScript / Flex ExternalInterface to play nicely, but I've what I think is a weird one. It works perfectly in every browser except Safari (on a Mac). Chrome, IE, Firefox - all ok, but Safari, nope it just wont fire.I've copied my code below, can anyone see why it doesn't work in Safari pls ?(the 'are you sure' dialog window appears in Safari but the method in the Flex app just doesn't get called)
Can anyone give me a clue as to why this markup works fine in Safari, but not in Firefox? This should load an ugly blue placeholder (which I get in safari) but in Firefox, swfobject just gives me the alternative content.[code]
I have a flash-based ad that displays/hides based on some javascript. It works in Firefox, Safari, Chrome ... but not in Internet Explorer 8. This is for donations to a non-profit during the holiday season,
I'm hitting a brick wall here, and it's driving me mad. Used to use ExternalInterface to call Flash functions from Javascript all the time, and now under CS5 (and the way it uses object id's instead of embed in html) it's stopped working for me in certain browsers. I put together a really simple program that has the person click a link in the browser that activates a javascript function that simply sends some text in to Flash to display in a TextArea. Here's the as3 code:
I have a swf made in Flash CS4. It works fine in firefox and older versions of flash player in IE, but it doesn't work in recent versions of IE and Safari In this case just I can hear the music.
I'm using the following code...and it automatically launches a pop up with firefox and IE, but on safari, it don't work. What is going on? Any work around for this?
I'm creating an Entry Page slideshow here with Flash Cs3 and AS2: [URL] I'd like to be able to click on the whole slideshow (or the "Enter Site" text) to go to another page on the site, which I'm calling "[URL]." I've read various tutorials all day and tried many things, but couldn't seem to apply any "on release" action to the "Enter Site" text that would work. I even created an invisible button (putting a keyframe on just the HIT state and deleting it from the UP state), named the instance "invbutton3", and then typed in this action on the first frame and inserted a keyframe at the end of the show:
I have implemented SWFAddress 2.4, it works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox on Mac. But in Safari 5.0.3 on Mac, the back button doesn't trigger the AddressChangeEvent. Deep linking works on Safari, just the back button doesn't.
i am making a flex air application and when its deactivated (lost focus), its framerate becomes to 1fps.i am using psudo-threading encoder that uses enterframe to keep it working the app requires long time converting process more than hours and i need the program to do the same thing while sitting back in the background how to disable deactivation in air application as soon as the focus is out, it becomes 1 fps instead of 24 fps which i need.
i know i can use timerevent rather than enterframe event but my app needs alot of calculation and i figured that in flash, the frame extends its time if the calculation isnt finished. if it gets too long in one frame, the ui hangs up.if i use enterframe, on slow comps it would extend its time to complete the calculations when all the calculations didnt get to finish in time in 1 frame.but im afraid if i use timer event, instead of waiting for the codees to be excuted it would excute the next timer event, i didnt try it though.i created the app that when you add the xml songbook data, it would load up the data sort it and create pages with the graphics and skins set up and when you save, it saves the pages to jpg files using the encoder i created.and the encoder uses enterframe.its working fine but when i deactivate the window while encoding, it becomes extremely slow since it becomes 1fps.
My Flash presentation SWF is uploaded to the web, within an HTML page. Not always, but sometimes, when I log onto the page, I am noticing glitches. For example, the interactive buttons created and embedded within the Flash are not functioning at all. It's as if they are dead. - It took a few times of opening and closing the browser window and calling up the page again to then get it to work properly again. End-users will not do this. Also, when items within a SWF are non-functional like this, does it mean the player needs to be updated again? - My content is loading dynamically by the way.
Below summarizes the problem. Whats being used: Flash CS4 10.0.2 Actionscript 2.0
Whats going on in the Timeline: I have a embedded movie in the timeline. Also in this timeline is a actionscript delay. When the animation starts, the timeline reaches the embedded movie and plays then it reaches the end frame with the following actionscript delay.
The delay works perfectly. When the timline loops a second time the delay fails to work. So the animation works perfectly one time and falls every time the animation loops. The weird part is if I remove the embedded movie layer the delay works perfectly on the following loops. So it appears that this delay is deactivated by the embedded movie!
These issues only appear on Safari and Firefox on Mac.I tested with Opera and Chrome and Windows (inc. IE), but they work fine.
Mac OS 10.6.8 Firefox 5.0.1 Safari 5.1 Flash CS5.5
1 Hiding the original black arrow cursor (Firefox only)When cursor rollovers to an Invisible button (oneBtn), I want to show custom cursor (newCursor) and hide mouse. But Firefox shows the custom cursor as well as the black arrow...
2. Mouse.show doesn't work only on Safari, Mac.When rollout to the invisible button (oneBtn), the custom cursor (newCursor) hides but the mouse doesn't appear. This happens only on Safari.
I am trying to create this html elements dynamically on the onload of my page, however;when I run it the code wont work on IE8 but okay in firefox, safari, and others.
function getmovie() { var container = document.getElementById("container"); if (!container)
It works perfectly when pulled within labels like in the demo.[code]note: (id="slidesbigtext") loads text from javascript without any issues, just can't find a way to make sIFR work in this situation..
I'm trying to get Flex 3 and OpenX to work together. Everything works great in Safari and Firefox. But, I get an XML parser error in Internet Explorer, which makes me want to rip my hair out and drink turpentine.
I've tried to simplify the problem as best I can. Basically, I take the adReturn and then turn it into xml.
