I have an odd problem that occurs in my IE browser but not firefox. It seems to be browser dependent (my colleague does not see it in his IE) or possibly flash player version dependent? I have text fields containing text but only the first few letters are being shown. This happens in several places in my application to both static and dynamic text fields.

I have an FLA that has 20 scenes in it. When I publish it, the resulting SWF plays fine up to scene 16. At that point, I get the streaming audio, but the animation just stops. The scenes after 16 are empty.
This is a simple, voice narrated movie that is linear. The buttons at the bottom are AS2 pause/play/nextscene/prevscene. It works fine till I get to scene 16 and that's where it seems like it's just incomplete.
I noticed when it's publishing that the progress bar seems to get a bit over halfway and then the publishing dialog just disappears as if it's finished. It doesn't move the progress bar all the way to 100%.
If I do a test scene each one of those scenes publishes fine and plays fine inside Flash CS5.5. This only happens when I publish the whole thing. If I copy the timeline of scene 16 and paste it into a new movie, that single scene also publishes and plays fine. Again, it's only when it is publishing all 20 scenes.
I am bussy with a Flex Project with a data services. Flash builder installed Zend Framework with Zend_Amf.
When i run the project i get the error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed. With chalers i say that Zend_Amf give the error: AMF data is incomplete (0 bytes of 0 bytes). Please check the recording limits in the Recording Settings.
I don't know what the problem means. I have searched on google, but i haven't found a good result. The Flex project code is:

my client reports to me that some of the text is being clipped off in the text fields. I try to recreate the problem on my pc with chrome and firefox, but everything works fine. But he sends me screenshots from his mac with firefox, and sure enough they are being clipped. It all works great but the issue (on a couple puzzles like this) is that a person could move one piece 8 times into the same correct position and the "Great Job" message will pop up although the puzzle is visually incomplete.
working with Flex4 AIR app, using this component I get data from the barcode reader,

View 3 Repliesworks perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.

The problem: The text color changes in IE, but not in Firefox and Safari. And the weird thing is I tested in other computers and some will work in all browsers and some only works in IE. Everything works ok when tested locally.

View 5 RepliesDo you remember this old bug in as2 where a keyboard input does not display the same as it should do in a input text field. (caused by the transparency mode of the flash in the html on web-kit browsers) For example: the @ key turns into the ". So for email forms this is a massive ball ache! I made some hot script in my as2 days that fixed this problem, but I sure am struggling with a as3 version. I have seen online a hacky javascript fix, but is pointless when it can easily be done in actionscript

I have a piece of Flash on an HTML page that when you hover over it, it expands out to reveal more information.There are text links that it expands over, however in everything but IE, when it's not expanded those links are still covered by the Flash making them unclickable.I have the Flash piece in a separate DIV wmode set to transparent.

I've spent about a day on this... Publishing a swf for AS3/FP9, following the example in the ActionScript 3 documentation to get two-way communication between a SWF and javascript. Works great in IE.
I've sifted through what seems like a million posts on the subject, with people getting the same result... the function I/they are attempting to call doesn't exist.
In the documentation example, there's a function to find/return either the SWF as an object or embed tag depending on which browser you're viewing the page in.

View 4 RepliesI'm having issues with a flash animation that I made displaying correctly in Firefox 3 on Windows Vista. It only shows up incorrectly on this browser. It works fine in Firefox 2 and 3 on Windows XP, Safari and Firefox 3 on Mac, and Internet explorer 6 and 7 on XP and Vista.
Does anyone have any information on Firefox 3 and windows Vista in relation to bugs with flash animations?
I have uploaded a swf but when viewed in Firefox, the swf does not work. However, the swf does work in IE.
I used Flash MX 2004 to export the swf.
Anyway, my firefox can view other websites with flash properly so the problem is definitely with my swf.

The page is loaded with Flash player 9 in Firefox 3.5.5 for Windows XP. note that we can't afford to have the wmode value other than 'window.'Actually the phenomenon occurs only with the 'window' wmode.You can change the 'movie' value to whatever you want.
When the page is first loaded in Firefox, it looks normal (or not).But when you move the mouse over the video clips or play them,they start stepping on each other's toes:
The images are overlapped,and the intersection of the screen keeps flickering.
We played with this and that attributes or parameters,put the clips in <iframe>s,but none of them succeeded.
PS: I'm not sure whether it is Firefox or Flash that's causing this.If this is not the right place for a question like this, I offer my apology.
By default Firefox opens urls set to 'new window' in a new firefox tab instead.
