I'm dynamically loading flv videos using NetStream and when the video ends the rectangle where the video is playing turns black. I would need that the last frame would stay visibleDid anyone have this issue or has hack to make this work?

I have a very simple bit of AS3 that I can't get to work. I have 4 FLVPlayBack's on 4 frames, buttons on a menu to go to the frames to play the videos, and I need to return to the menu's frame after the videos end. Here's what I have. The buttons to play the videos work, but the function to return to the menu isn't firing. I'm also getting this error as the program starts...

im working a on little video project and i have a video that plays (obviously). What i would like to know if there was some way to make the video replay after it ends automaticly. i havent worked with video in flash before so im not sure what to do.
View 1 RepliesI have a project which consists of a menu, which is put into fullscreen using "stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;" on the first frame.The menu navigates to three seperately loaded swf's which match the fullscreen resolution. However, when the swf's are loaded the screen is black while in fullscreen. They can only be seen when I hit esc to take it out of fullscreen. Put it back into fullscreen and the screen returns to black. (The code does not break or throw an error, everything works fine outside of fullscreen). None of these problems occur in Flash Pro, only after I have exported them and tested them out on a different computer. I don't have a lot of code in the menu sections, and each swf tested individually works fine, fullscreen or not.
Anyone have any idea of anything I might try? I've been lost on this for a few days now, and it's the only thing keeping me from completion.

I am loading in text from an XML file, and it loads in fine but I am getting a black box behind each of my letters in my text field. I tried to cancel it out by write the background = false; but it is not working. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have loaded in hundreds of .txt files and this has never happened, but this is my first time loading in XML txt, so I am not sure what to do?

View 3 RepliesI am fairly new to Actionscript, and am only customizing an existing file. I'm using jpegcam to capture webcam video, and mirror it back to the user. I would like the video to have a black and white filter added to it. I've found a few tutorials on how to do it using fl.motion.Color, but I'm using Flex SDK to do the compiling. I do not own Flash. How would I go about adding the filter in the simplest way possible without using any classes that Flex SDK doesn't include?

After I got a blank screen, I uploaded the .flv (2MB) and the .fla (14MB) files to the server as well (same folder as the .html file) but that didnt help same blank screen.

The website that I built, I used Adobe media encoder and flash to make it a .flv file, the website works fine as far as playing the pages with video in Safari and Firefox, when I go to the same website in internet explorer the video plays with a big black border each of my video's, why would that be ?

However, the video plays with black bars on top and bottom even though it plays without those directly from youtube: [URL]. Even if I take off the scaling, it still has the black bars. How do I get rid of them? It seems like youtube uses a different player than flash. [URL]. Click on #1 and you will see the video I am talking about.
I have two separate video widgets running on the same test page [URL] and when an input textfield from one of the widgets receives focus or is typed into, the other widget goes black.

Now, when I preview the swf, it plays fine, but when the video starts playing, the screen turns black and flash quits automatically.

I simply have one FLVPlayback component in the background and a movieclip on the layer above with an FLVPlayback component inside it. The first FLV component is constantly looping a five-second video. So all I need is for the movieclip containing the second FLV component to load the right file, fade in, and when the video ends, fade out. Absolutely all of that works... apart from the fading in. What I noticed was that my movieclip was fading in correctly, but the FLVPlayback component was empty and transparent until the fade had finished - then it played the clip. Here's my code, which gets called at random intervals:

and the vid doesn't play until it's fully loaded

NetStream.time gives me the current location of the video, so based on that I can display a progressbar.
Underneath the progressbar, I want to display how much of the video has been loaded already. How do I find this value?

on my videoswf i ve got a play and a return(with stop) button, to return back to a frame to select what video should be played.. those buttons work perfectly, of course
the problem is now, that when i play the video and press a button from the upper loaded swf ( the menu) it loads another swf as usual,.. but the sound of the video still plays (so there has to be a child somewhere)..
now, how can i erase that movie instance when i cant excess it from the upper swf? is there a global value like stopEveryF*thing, or something like that ?
