ActionScript 3.0 :: Making Movie Play Or Pause By Clicking Button

I'm making a project, So I've got several questions..
-How do I make the Movie play or pause by the click of a keyboard or a mouse button?
-How do I Open another SWF within the SWF (loadMovieNum doesn't work anymore )
And last question is How do I move the "video app" I actionscript'd and make it larger . Here's the code I used to put the "video app".

im making an intereactive map and i have certain areas in the map where you can click and a video pops up so you can view real footage of the area. I just need help making the video pop up like how to import it and whatnot.
I have created a flah player with no controls which loads an ecternal flash video. What the client wants is to be able to pause and play the movie by clicking on it. I have an FLVPlayback component with the name MyVideo. All the actionscript I have at the moment is the following myVideo.contentPath = file; myVideo.autoRewind = auto; File is a variable passed by SWFObject, this is the filename of the external Flash Video. This is so they can use the player with an video. Auto is a parameter passed by SWFObject so they can set whether the movie auto rewinds or not.

I have a button on the stage called 'play_btn' and a movieclip called 'movie_mc'. The movieclip has a stop on it's first fame so that it doesn't play on the main timeline. I want to use actionscript to have the movieclip play when the button is clicked.I know i need to do some kind of movie_mc.gotoAndPlay('2') on the button or something like that.
I have been trying to create a play/pause button for the main timeline in my flash movie. Created a movie clip with 1st frame - a pause graphic, then on 2nd frame - play graphic, labelled the frames 'pause' and 'play' consecutively and put a stop action on the first frame of the movieclip. Then put the following code in the actions layer of the main timeline (and gave instance name of 'ppBtn' to the movieclip):

It works in stopping and starting the movie but the actual movieclip doesn't toggle between the pause and the play graphics (just stays on the 'pause' state - 1st frame).
I am using CS3 with Actionscript 2.0I am trying to get a play / pause button to control a movie clip.I have placed the MC on one layer and the button on another layer.The button works great.All I need is the AS to control the timeline of the movie clip.
I am autoplaying a FLV in a SWF in scene 1. I have created buttons on this same scene that will do different things, and present different information. I really want that button to pause that autoplaying video when it starts those actions. How can I accomplish this?
I have a button, labeled "Main1," in a scene, "Main." When I click said button, I want an animation to start. Said animation is a movie clip named "ArrowAnim."Now, I have done something similar before in another project, using a code which I thought would have worked with this movie clip as well. All my sounds work however, the play button only seems to play my sound when I click on the pause or stop button first! Plus, my stop button acts like a pause button, it doesn't start the song from the beginning once it stops. [code]...
So far my logic seems fine for half of the experiment, however, not the other half:[URL] What I'm trying to accomplish is when a user holds down the mouse and drags it across the stage the movie clip will rotate in 3D space horizontally. That works, however, when the mouse is released the movie continues to rotate along with the mouse position. When the movie clip is clicked again then it will stop rotating, but it cannot be clicked and dragged a second time. The link above explains it the best. Also I want to make it so the movie will start to rotate when the mouse is down anywhere on the stage and not just the mc itself.
i started with a Multiple mp3 players project and i more complicated with that - as you see in the picture i try to do that when click on the play button for every song this switch the song that selected -first preloading + percentage the mp3 file and after play it immediately and of course there is stop button, pause button when choose a song the previously that play will be muted
I am trying to play a nested movieclip by clicking on a button. I have an instance name for the nested moviclip, and this is the code I atatched to the button:

Nothing happens when I click the button with that code. However, if I take out the instance name, the button will play the frame specified:
I want to play the music file in flash player (which is embedded obviously) by clicking the play button which is in the web page (not in flash player).
I finished the Flash Video Basics Tutorials, but I'd like the video not to start playing straight away. I also want it to stop playing when it's finished and not start over again.Is there also an easy way to have the play-button change into pause button, when the video is paused?
I'm making a mp3 player using flash and i would like to have the play and pause function all in one button rather having separating into two buttons. Here is the code what I have so far.

I have been trying to deal with sound attachment. Attached is the source file that i am dealing with(I deleted the sound files because the size is too big): Simply, i have to click on the objects first before clicking on the play button. Each objects i clicked represents a different sound and will be stored in the array. So i will be clicking the objects in sequence and when i click on the play button, the music will play. Now comes the problem with my coding, I was unable to let my music coming out one by one at the time in sequence.
I want to know if there is a command or actionscript that will allow you to pause the movie automatically for like 30 seconds and then continue the movie after 30 seconds have passed, instead of adding alot of frames for about that add up to 30 secs. Just like the goto and play command.
I checked all flaskit sources and tutorials. All of them are telling about mp3 players with stop, play and pause buttons.
Is there any source or tutorial about a radio which continiously play songs ? No pause, no play, no stop button. it will play songs in specific folder nonstop in loop. ?
I'm trying to create buttons so a viewer can pause and then play an externally loaded swf. My project can be accessed at the linke below. This is how I want the project to function
-Click a room on the building (choose Accounting for this discussion)
-Click one of the demo options (choose Ending a Period for this discussion)
- Now that the demo plays, I want the user to be able to play and pause the demo swf.
The demo .swfs were created in Captivate so I don't have access to their timeline. They are loaded into an empty Loader component using the MovieClipLoader Class.
I'm extremely new to Flash and I am making a website and want to have a single button that when pressed pauses or plays a music file. I was able to create one that works by following a tutorial that I found online but the problem is that the button is on the main timeline so as I move away from it, it stops working. I think that it would work better if I was able to make a movie clip out of the button so that it doesn't sit on the main timeline and will keep working no matter where I am on the timeline. All I need is one button that pauses and plays music when pressed. I also want to be able to have a "music on" line of text and "music off" line of text depending on whether the music is playing or not.
Well as the title says I need to create an Play/Pause button in one. So when I click on the button it plays my animation, then when I click on it again it pauses it. And then when I click on it again it plays the animation where it was. etc. etc.
I know how to create a simple button and give it an event and an function, but I cant figure out how to get those 2 functions together in one?
I have created a Pause and Play button that toggles between states. It controls a Timeline with synced Sound. When I use it the sound and animation go out of sync. Can anyone help me with this or perhaps have better code I could swap out to make this work?

Put the Pause and Play buttons directly over each other on 2 layers for the duration of the timeline.Pause Button on top. (unless you have a STOP on the first line then maybe the Play button will start it.
I am trying to make an animation that will pause and start again after a certain time. The problem is I don't have any experience with Actionscript (or programming of any sort for that matter)..I found this link that appears to explain how it's done, but I can't seem to replicate it. I have a play/pause button on my animation which works a treat when all animations are within the main movie clip. Now I would like to have some movement within the main movieclip and some within individual sub movie clips. Once I go to play the animation all animated objects within the main movieclip are stopped but the sub movie clips are playing. How can I stop the sub movie clips to???
