View 1 RepliesI've made a flash application using actionscript 3, I wanted this application size to be dynamic, To be able to embed it in any size and let it adjust itself accordingly. I managed to accomplish this, theres a problem though: The original width of the application is 700 pixels. I'm embedding the flash in a smaller size, (400 for example) going to full screen, and when I exit, the application sets itself back to being 700 pixels wide, and isn't adjusting itself to the 400px width of the actual embedding area..

I've got a fullscreen button which, when clicked, works. However, after a few seconds, Flash automatically exits full-screen mode and reverts to normal mode. I'm running this in the browser. I tried stripping all the code in the fullScreen event handler down to this (I removed toggling between displayStates):

I'm new to Adobe Flash CS4. I'm making an animation of some fish underwater. I have 2 small fish motion tweened to follow a large fish from left to right. When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.

I want to tell a button that if on press the the video is in normal screen mode then gotoAndStop(2). But if the video is in full screen and the frame on root is frame 1 then gotoAndStop 2. My full screen flash site works oerfectly on Mac's (I have a mac). But on PC IE and Firefox the full screen flash site is cut off 1/4 of the way down the page (see screen shots in zip or test if you are on PC). live site [URL] The site uses a swf object (files included in the zip). I got this from a template on flashDen. my problem is that I only have my mac and can't test on PC IE / firefox. Not that I would know where to start. I think that the problem might be the swf object from [URL] but not sure? I need to sure my site to apply for jobs. But recruiters use PC and it is very embarrassing that they can only see 1/4 of the screen.

so im thinking perhaps if i add some sort of bytes total/bytes loaded script where its trying to load up and display the image it will check if the image is fully loaded before it tries to display the image think that will work ... if that's what the issue is

My flash presentation contains video which I imported using the flash video component. When I play the presentation 100% size they play fine - contained within there window on the screen - When I play the presentation in full-screen mode they take over the whole screen. They also play untill the video is finished whithout moving onto the next scene.

The Problem is that if you click the fullscreen button very quickly after opening the page, it goes fullscreen but the display stays black!As you can see, i add the current Image to the mcSlideHolder just when the onFirstSlideLoaded-event occurs ... so if you click the fullscreen button before it has finished loading the image it will/should add it after the image is loaded ... so the image MUST be loaded then ... but why does the screen stay black???

I am playing a video and created a button which displays video area in fullscreen but video doesn't cover whole screen area, there are blanks left and right of the video. I searched a bit and every flash player i found with full screen option in fact resizes the video the same way, it just doesn't cover whole area. Can video in full screen mode be resized to cover whole screen area without those blanks at sides?

i'm trying to create a fullscreen slideshow with as3. My problem now is that if I click the fullscreen button too quick (--> before the image has been loaded and hasn't therefore been added to the stage) the screen just stays black and nothing is working anymore (the following images aren't loading either. However, if the whole stage is in "Full Screen" mode, and I click on the button which loads the FLVPlayback component, the screen becomes black and the FLV doesn't even load.
I have tried addind the action movieHolder.fullScreenTakeOver = false; but it did not help.
