What I want is to create a 2d/flat site wich is larger than the normal screen size... for easy viewing I want the site to move related to the mouse movement so that when you drag your mouse left the entire site kinda moves to the right, and by that permits the viewer to browse the site without using the scroll bars. It should work like the example in this link, but not only horizontal, but also vertical...

i got a logo, each letter it a clip, cos the logo is bit more than just text, but thats beside the point. I want each letter to start of larger than it should be and zoom out (scale down) to the normal size, pref with a bit of a bounce at the end, so it goes from very big to, slightly smaller then proper size, to proper size, get it? with help from Master64 (via IRC) i worked out that i could use _xscale and _yscale (i am relativly new here, lol ) but the problem i got is that it scales, but in huge jumps, not smooth.The class is ment to be reusable (duh!) so my concept is

I recently created the following webpage: One challenge I'm having is on the About and Pricing pages. Is there a way to have my text size increase depending on how big the users screen is? Doesn't need to be exact, but if I'm on my iMac the text size is quite small when full-screen.

I am developing a flash based website using mxml. My monitor's resolution is 1280x768 and is widescreen. The problem is while it appears properly in my screen it doesn't appear properly in others.
-Let scrollbars take care of it : If the screen is 14 inch screen with 800x600 resolution it appears zoomed in. So that's a problem
-Get screen resolution and resize using scaleX and scaleY : The graphic components will get resized but fonts give problem.

i am a beginner in action script / flex framework and i am facing a problem: i would like to have like a menu bar always anchor the bottom of the screen in normal and full screen mode... i try to set my component with bottom = "1" (so it should alway be at 1 pixel from the bottom of the stage ... No matter WHAT I have tried.... a sniffer, no sniffer, stand alone on a webpage by itself.This slash file which is in a popup window 600x400 will not display 600x400 in firefox. It always is 20-40 px larger in both directions. I can't take it anymore!! What the hell is the matter with firefox his file is 6 years old for gosh sakes. It works and has worked online for years... so whats the Firefox problem all the sudden I am begging !If I can find a good flash designer who knows php, js, and html well, I am going to have future projects. But this little gem is a good promotional tool.... but the problem is......... FIREFOX wont display it right ! And why does firefox INSIST on putting the location bar in html popup windows! The window is the right size 600x400.... the flash is not... even with dimension definitions

I created a swf file for one my clients using a screen size of 1024px x 768px (4:3 ratio), now my client wants to re-use the video in a bigger screen (TV) that still uses a 4:3 ratio but the screen size is considerably bigger (I do not have the exact size yet). Do I need to recreate the flash file using images that fit the new screen size, or the fact that they both use a 4:3 aspect ratio means that the image quality will not suffer?

When using map3d, the default marker creation is always perpendicular to the viewport. How can I create a marker that lays down flat against the map? I can't use GroundOverlay because it becomes overly tiny when the map is zoomed out. How can I create a matrix3d object that will rotate/scale/skew my Marker's foreground DisplayObject so it remains flat against the map when in perspective mode?

I've got a fullscreen button which, when clicked, works. However, after a few seconds, Flash automatically exits full-screen mode and reverts to normal mode. I'm running this in the browser. I tried stripping all the code in the fullScreen event handler down to this (I removed toggling between displayStates):

It's still happening. Has anyone seen this before?

I am loading swf A into a mc within swf B.

How do I constrain the width of A so it is its' normal size? It wants to span the width of swf B. I tried adding "_width=470" but my syntax is not right and/or working. I am using Pro 8.

i have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.

Given:I encode video at 600kbpsI set the video to display by default at 448x336 (4:3)Users can set the video to display at full screen (let's say full screen = 1280x960)I can only provide one video resolution to cover all scenarios�.Is there any logic to encoding the video for the larger size of 1280x960? Am I wrong in thinking:
Video encoded at 1280x960 and displayed at this size will look better than video encoded at 448x336 and enlarged to 1280x960; andThere will be minimal difference between video encoded at 1280x960 (and shrunk to 448x336) and video encoded at 448x336.

When I click the type tool and drag a text box out and type a couple words at 235pt size it looks fine. as soon as I click off the text box, the text size jumps down. I have no idea why this is happening and I can't get it to stay. When I click the type tool on the box again the tet appears at the 235pt size. But when I click off of it and play the movie it is at the incorrect size.

im using Tween Class and when a target Mc gets rolledOver/Out it gets tween larger/back to org size.
but it gets jumpy and the target MC tweens back and worth on 2-3 frames (looks very very very laggy and buggy) i have 24fps and ive tried regular/elastic/bounce/strong tween settnings.

I have a presentation work and the size that i have to work is larger than 2880 pixels which is the maximum value flash cs5 allows. So, is there any way that i can make the stage size larger? (approximately 3900 pixels)

I set my images at 60% quality JPG files out of photoshop which seems to give a very nice representation. I set up a site to take a full screen, so I expect it to be larger on a bigger screen then what I see on mine. I figured to keep every image actual size at about 25% bigger when the finlal needed size in the layout, so if the site is ever on the bigger screen then images have some stored resolution to be enlarged and accomodate an increase in size. So all of mine images are scaled at about 75%.

Is it a good practise or things don't work this way in Flash? Perhaps it is better to keep the images to 100% (rather than importing intentially enlarges images) but make the maximum quality? Or both ways kind of work out?

Is there any way to make a stage larger than 2880x2880??? Normally it is not that much useful but there are times when I want to create a presentation that spans onto multiple monitors. I probably know the answer, but I thought that I'd ask anyways.

I've made a flash application using actionscript 3, I wanted this application size to be dynamic, To be able to embed it in any size and let it adjust itself accordingly. I managed to accomplish this, theres a problem though: The original width of the application is 700 pixels. I'm embedding the flash in a smaller size, (400 for example) going to full screen, and when I exit, the application sets itself back to being 700 pixels wide, and isn't adjusting itself to the 400px width of the actual embedding area..

I'm trying to get to a situation in which only if both 2 things are correct then do this and if only one of them is correct, do different thing. I have a flash video player. I want to tell a button that if on press the the video is in normal screen mode then gotoAndStop(2). But if the video is in full screen and the frame on root is frame 1 then gotoAndStop 2. I'm loading and displaying a large image say 6000 x 6000 px using an image tag. I wanted to take a snapshot of the image. But the maximum limit I get is 2880 px dimensions using Flex 4, flash player 10. Didn't the limit of FP 10 increased to 4096 px? Then why am I getting 2880? Is there a way to increase that size.
