Button Animate From Its Normal Size To A Larger Size But In A Fluid Scaled Motion Images
May 10, 2009
I need to make a button animate from its normal size to a larger size but in a fluid scaled motion. I'm using a png image I cant seem to get it to scale from small to big when animating, and I have inserted a motion tween.
What I want is to create a 2d/flat site wich is larger than the normal screen size... for easy viewing I want the site to move related to the mouse movement so that when you drag your mouse left the entire site kinda moves to the right, and by that permits the viewer to browse the site without using the scroll bars. It should work like the example in this link, but not only horizontal, but also vertical...
i got a logo, each letter it a clip, cos the logo is bit more than just text, but thats beside the point. I want each letter to start of larger than it should be and zoom out (scale down) to the normal size, pref with a bit of a bounce at the end, so it goes from very big to, slightly smaller then proper size, to proper size, get it? with help from Master64 (via IRC) i worked out that i could use _xscale and _yscale (i am relativly new here, lol ) but the problem i got is that it scales, but in huge jumps, not smooth. The class is ment to be reusable (duh!) so my concept is
No matter WHAT I have tried.... a sniffer, no sniffer, stand alone on a webpage by itself. This slash file which is in a popup window 600x400 will not display 600x400 in firefox. It always is 20-40 px larger in both directions. I can't take it anymore!! What the hell is the matter with firefox his file is 6 years old for gosh sakes. It works and has worked online for years... so whats the Firefox problem all the sudden I am begging !If I can find a good flash designer who knows php, js, and html well, I am going to have future projects. But this little gem is a good promotional tool.... but the problem is......... FIREFOX wont display it right ! And why does firefox INSIST on putting the location bar in html popup windows! The window is the right size 600x400.... the flash is not... even with dimension definitions
I'm loading and displaying a large image say 6000 x 6000 px using an image tag. I wanted to take a snapshot of the image. But the maximum limit I get is 2880 px dimensions using Flex 4, flash player 10. Didn't the limit of FP 10 increased to 4096 px? Then why am I getting 2880? Is there a way to increase that size.
I'm building a photographer's gallery website and I need it to resize to fit in browser window. So far so easy...What I would really like to achieve is a maximum and minimum size that the gallery will go to.
So, if the images I am using are 1400x1000 (for example) when this size is reached by the user expanding the browser window i don't want the gallery to expand any more, just sit in the middle of the page.
Similarly I don't want the gallery to go below say 800x600... how to set a max/min?
I made an SWF file (say X) and I have loaded this SWF file into another FLA file (say Y). With help from this forum, I got to do what I wanted - when I click on a button on the FLA file (Y), the SWF (X) shrinks to a smaller size (about half the size) and when I click on that same button again, X enlarges back to the original size. I acomplished this with tweenlite. THe SWF (X) has a slideshow of images. Now, when the SWF (X) shrinks to a smaller size, the images look very distorted and text in the images are not readable (although the text is large enough to be clearly visible).
I have a MC that can be dragged. when it goes past a certain point it is scaled down in size and it locks in to a specified x and y position. The problem is this is causing the onPress function and onRelease function to not work properly. once the mc goes in i cant get it out. this is on the first frame of the timeline
Code: flatline.onPress = function() { if (_currentframe == 1) {
Is there an easy way to code something, using the tween class, to go back to its native size after being scaled down using the tween class? I checked the tutorial on the site and couldn't find any information on this.
I want to reduce the size of Swf using the size mentioned in the object tag of html. Same swf file size can be different for different request.
The problem is this if we reduce the size all control in swf reduced according to the change in swf size. But we want the buttons and one more graphics remain same size for any change in size of swf file. How can we make it ..
I am having a problem, After Loading External SWF on a Movieclip and Zoom in/out when loading the other SWF on same Movieclip can't able to rest to normal size for zoom in/out im using scaleX,scaleY. When i click to load other SWF i'm giving size of widht and height to set back orginal size.[code]
I am loading swf A into a mc within swf B. loadMovie(dir/A.swf,target_mc); How do I constrain the width of A so it is its' normal size? It wants to span the width of swf B. I tried adding "_width=470" but my syntax is not right and/or working. I am using Pro 8.
I'm trying to get my main class to resize to the browser window size. I'm listening on the stage to Event.RESIZE, updating my width/height to match the stageWidth/stageHeight, and drawing a rectangle to show me how big it is. When I resize, it flashes between a small and big size every other time the event fires. The width and height are correct in both cases, but in the "small" case, everything is in a small box.
Given:I encode video at 600kbpsI set the video to display by default at 448x336 (4:3)Users can set the video to display at full screen (let's say full screen = 1280x960)I can only provide one video resolution to cover all scenarios .Is there any logic to encoding the video for the larger size of 1280x960? Am I wrong in thinking:
Video encoded at 1280x960 and displayed at this size will look better than video encoded at 448x336 and enlarged to 1280x960; andThere will be minimal difference between video encoded at 1280x960 (and shrunk to 448x336) and video encoded at 448x336.
When I click the type tool and drag a text box out and type a couple words at 235pt size it looks fine. as soon as I click off the text box, the text size jumps down. I have no idea why this is happening and I can't get it to stay. When I click the type tool on the box again the tet appears at the 235pt size. But when I click off of it and play the movie it is at the incorrect size.
im using Tween Class and when a target Mc gets rolledOver/Out it gets tween larger/back to org size.
but it gets jumpy and the target MC tweens back and worth on 2-3 frames (looks very very very laggy and buggy) i have 24fps and ive tried regular/elastic/bounce/strong tween settnings.
I made this Code to scale the movie when mouse is over and turn it to the normal size when mouse out, I got this error and i don't understand it (TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "mc1" to flash.display.MovieClip. at Scaling_fla::MainTimeline/DoMe()TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "mc1" to flash.display.MovieClip. at Scaling_fla::MainTimeline/reDoMe()
I have a presentation work and the size that i have to work is larger than 2880 pixels which is the maximum value flash cs5 allows. So, is there any way that i can make the stage size larger? (approximately 3900 pixels)
I set my images at 60% quality JPG files out of photoshop which seems to give a very nice representation. I set up a site to take a full screen, so I expect it to be larger on a bigger screen then what I see on mine. I figured to keep every image actual size at about 25% bigger when the finlal needed size in the layout, so if the site is ever on the bigger screen then images have some stored resolution to be enlarged and accomodate an increase in size. So all of mine images are scaled at about 75%.
Is it a good practise or things don't work this way in Flash? Perhaps it is better to keep the images to 100% (rather than importing intentially enlarges images) but make the maximum quality? Or both ways kind of work out?
Is there any way to make a stage larger than 2880x2880??? Normally it is not that much useful but there are times when I want to create a presentation that spans onto multiple monitors. I probably know the answer, but I thought that I'd ask anyways.
I've made a flash application using actionscript 3, I wanted this application size to be dynamic, To be able to embed it in any size and let it adjust itself accordingly. I managed to accomplish this, theres a problem though: The original width of the application is 700 pixels. I'm embedding the flash in a smaller size, (400 for example) going to full screen, and when I exit, the application sets itself back to being 700 pixels wide, and isn't adjusting itself to the 400px width of the actual embedding area..
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out why my preloader.swf isn't scaling right as my site loads. The way my preloader works is that I load in my site code and stage elements first ( called Main.swf ). Then, when that is loaded, I preload the first large background image for my site with a second preloader bar. For the first preloader bar ( loading Main.swf ), the graphics for the preloader are all scaled up by about 25% then it jumps to normal size when the loading of the first background image starts.
If parent object changes dimension (w or h), the child object that is on it's display list must scale down if it is larger than parent's width or height.Problem:I wanted to try and use the percent change formula to reduce an object if it was larger in either dimension than its parent object. I would liek to keep the child object to scale in the process. Here is the formula I used, but and its returning the correct values..
ActionScript Code: private function percentChange(oriSize:Number, newSize:Number):Number { var perChange:Number = ((oriSize - newSize) / newSize) * 100;
I recently posted my first online Flash photo gallery. It flows perfectly when viewing on my desktop using a Flash Player, however, when viewed online it can look "jerky" and stutter in spots. This doesn't happen every time. One friend said it flows smoothly and another noticed that it stutters. On my own broadband connection it does both. One day it flows smoothly and another time it stutters and jerks.Any suggestions on how to ensure smooth animations? The frames per second on the .fla files are set at 18. Would bumping it up to 24 fps help? But that would increase file size, yes? Maybe there's not much I can do and I'm at the mercy of download speeds and web traffic?
I put a motion preset (zoom in 3D) on a movie symbol instance. It worked great--it zoomed in well, and the instance stayed at the center of the stage for the whole animation, which is what I wanted.
I realized that I needed to change the stage size, for reasons I won't go into.I converted the stage measurement from pixels to inches, and resized it.Of course, all my graphics and instances were now off-center. In realigning and resizing everything, I discovered that my instance with the motion preset was no longer staying centered on the stage. It now travels in a right diagonal down to the bottom right corner of the stage when played. In fact, now anytime I use that particular preset on anything, in this file and in new ones, the same thing happens. It's like the preset has changed permanently on my computer and won't go back to the default.
I've tried editing the path frame by frame, but that makes a mess. I've tried using the subselection tool to edit the path, but that's imprecise and not working well.As an aside, I loaded this particular file onto another laptop here at work that has Flash Pro too. Before I opened my file on this new computer, that motion preset worked fine. Now that I've opened this file in the new computer, that preset is messed up, even when I start a new file.
I am new to flash but I have used motion tween before with Flash CS3. Now I need a text to decrease size and modify alpha so I wrote the text (one word), converted it to symbol (movie clip), create 2 key-frames (larger size, alpha 30% -> small size, alpha 100%) and "create motion tween" between. But it doesn't work i don't know why! This time I use Flash CS4 and I was wondering if there are some presets or something that I don't know. The arrow that suppose to appear between the frames doesn't ..only the frames change color.
So ive been asked to build a page for a real state company and the guy told me it should be similar to these [URL] Ive been trying a couple of weeks so far, but i dont seem to find a way to do somthing similar, i mean, i want to have the welcome screen as those two:
- the gradient background - flash occupies whole screen no matter what size it is - gradient expands sideways infinately - no matter what height my explorer window is, gradient is always in the same position relative to top, and if i keep expanding downwards the background keeps last colour of the gradient. - the brand logo looks as if it had top, left and right anchors, and it also limitates the minimum width of the explorer window
i though of addind a 3000 x 3000px square with the gradient and centering it, but i know there has to be a professional way of achieving that.
