I want to show a webpage inside of a "window" in an as3 app without opening the webpage in the systems default browser. Im not quite sure how to better explain that =/. Could i just use navigateToURL and have it display it in a "window" in the app somehow?

In my asp.net application,I want to show the .ppt file using the slide show manner.
That's to say,user can upload .ppt file to my server side,then other people can browser these ppts in the page ..
Since I have googled "embed powerpoint in web page" ,it seems that there is not a good idea to implement this and support the cross browser,so I thought the flash.

What I want is show the contents of the .ppt in this manner(it would be better if it support the animations in the ppt)?

Is it possible to show a webpage inside of an AIR app?
View 1 RepliesI am just new to Flash CS4, recently trying to add a slide show in my webpage, with the function of click on any of the images in the slide show, that will bring me to another webpage. The flash file will be inside a html pages manage by Adobe Contribute.
I have already build a one layer with 10 images slide show, but have no idea to add the function of clicking on any images to bring to another website, can anyone give me a hand on this.
i am new to this and i need to put a simple picture show an a web page, i need it to work like a powerpoint presentation but also needs buttons that you can roll your mouse over and have the slide that is associated with it come back up and also need to be able to click it to bring it back and stay on the screen for a longer period of time.

I tested the video.swf both - both the html doc and the swf file and the skin is in each.I uploaded to my web server the following:1. video.swf,2. skin.swf3 video.html. and4. the AC_RunActiveContent.jsAll are in the same folder.When I goto the url the the video.html is located I do not see the skin ... on line.

View 9 RepliesI'm new on FMS, but I've managed to create a web page with an embedded player that shows a live stream that I capture with a webcam and FMS. What I need is to be able to pause the live stream from the web page player and to play it again from the point I've paused it. I thought to stream a live video and save it to a file on the server as well, but I don't know how to tell the player to start from the end of the file rather than the begining of it. The client should connect to the page and see the live stream, but he can pause it and continue watching it later from that point, but if a different client connects, he should see the live stream.
View 1 RepliesWhile I'm just a beginner right now it/I'm an experienced computer user and I have really enjoyed/but when I'm looking at it now I'm trying to use flash to edit a website template, for example monster templates. I bought a template from the site and nine trying to edit it now and well it just seems like it's a very very long process to do something kind of where I just want to look at the page and I want to edit the text and only I go to bed doesn't seem to be the case. So I'll show you what I mean.
When I'm using the program and I'm in Adobe flash I'm looking now at the screen inside the program and there's no text I see the graphics images and there's no text and also is that some type of way where it's easy to navigate link to link where I can just edit the text what supposed to be in there rather than search for the funeral push page up and down until I come across just a white background with tax and then have to edited which is pretty confusing because I don't know where that's located but I the general idea that if you change it but surely there must be an easier way.
So basically I'm including a screenshot that shows you exactly what I'm talking about. Basically once again I'm in fashion items Sandy text so it's kinda hard to see what was going on or whatever so you can see the snow text located in the thing but however when I publish the file yeah you can see the text and everything I'm kinda looking for some type of you well be able to see this and just edited really. I know there are other programs out there like SWF edited her or quick note to some like that. But I really wanted to use flash, unexperienced Photoshop user and I really love all Adobe products and I really think that this is the master program to use however I'm really don't want it as of right now it's been about 40 days and nine still a bit lost navigating through the program will I'm just really just China entities tax bills and just go through the site. Now I realize I should have the respect for beautiful program like this and it's not been a be set up to the way that I'm hoping it Siskind be a point-and-click editor I understand that. I'm just wondering if anybody has any type suggestions or perhaps of I'm missing something which is fantastic.
In my flex datagird i have a checkbox and a datgrid with seven columns. im populating values in first five column(remaining two column no values) of datgrid by an Arraycollection. now,By clicking the checkbox i want to show all seven column values and if i uncheck five columns has to show... how its possible?? heres my code

I had to create one param in the HTML pra to be able to change at any time of the MC color ex:"meuFlash.swf?&cf1=ff3300>...", any time that I change this MC color , my MC change too. I create this. [AS]new Color (fundo_mc.fundos_mc).setRGB (parseInt (cf1, 16));[/AS] My problem is the following one, when I speak in the HTML that I do not want to use this color "ff3300", I only want to use "meuFlash.swf?...", mine MC are all black, it are not of the gray color that I already had left, I do not know because it is all black.

I suppose it might be easier to make SWF files from dedicated flash software - but I am quite comfortable doing things in video. So anyway, my goal is to be able to play the video on a web page - BUT WITHOUT the controls that go along with flv players such as wimpy. I would be just as happy to use flv if I could figure out how to hide the contols (play, volume etc.). I just want the movie to play - it should just play like an animated gif (but with sound and my option to loop or not).

I'm taking a website i put together, and plopping it on a DVD.
There are 3 parts to it.
One, is the flash .exe, which brings up a small splash page with general info on me. At the bottom there are two links to webpages i made. I would like to keep all the websites files ON the DVD, and not have the end-user need to have an internet connection, although in these times, i guess i could get by that way.
2nd part, is the webpage's main page. The main page contains a flash frame, in which there are six buttons, each with AS(2) looking to a folder on the DVD, to bring up another URL in the same window. Ru:

weird thing is, this works when on the hdd, but as soon as i put it on the DVD and try to run it from there, the main page doesn't connect/open the link I specified. I've also tried it:

and that doesn't work either. i'm not if i'm missing something small, but if need be, i can post a chopped down zip or rar with the files needed for someone to take a look at.
i want to integrate my own 3d renderings (avi's) convert to flv and embed into my website.
always used gif anims in the past so dont really have a clue if someone one could give me a rundown of all tools and steps/ procedures with html necessary to acheive this
im not trying to do anything too fancy, just replace the low quality gif anims on my site with some decent quality flash movies
I'm currently developing a full flash site. I've made the dropdown navigation menu with flash also. However, whenever I insert or import it into the webpage .fla, nothing works. When I preview the navigation menu swf file it works perfectly, ie, the mouseover effects, however I lose all actionscript coding when I bring it into my webpage .fla, what am I doing wrong?
View 4 RepliesI've recently uploaded my source files to my host and everything is running fine...except for one of my SWF files and I dont know whats wrong. It works when I run it on dreamweavers preview yet since I've uploaded it, it doesn't work. The file paths correct, the files are in the right folder yet still nothing. The address is doneanddone.co.nz . I already have a SWF that plays sound and that works but the video above the done and done text does not.

View 1 RepliesI have designed a website in flash. I tried all the file resolution size like 1024x768 or 800x600 or even 1000x600. Whatever size it is, the webpage doesnt fit on my monitor. Either it is too small or very big.Also I dont want to see any blank white space. How will I fit it exactly on all monitors?

Our first assignment is to set up a web site (I've already taken web design I & II, but this is my first exposure to Flash). What I'm looking for is some guidance about the orderly steps to take when setting up a flash web site.I'm thinking I need to go into Photoshop or Fireworks first and design the pages so I can import them.But what about when I get to Flash? Page set-up, size, create layers for each of my pages, import things, where to start adding effects first... I can't decide the most efficient ORDER in which to do things.

I downloaded a template of a 3d spinning cube of a forum, redesigned the images on each of the faces of the cube and it can be seen on the attachment:
When i run the swf file this is what i can see but as soon as i put it on the webpage the cube is still there but none of the images on the faces.[code]...
Is this possible with Flash?? I want to place a SWF in the top right of the webpage, and when people click on a link from the main menu on the left of the browser, it plays the SWF. This page is written in php, so there is no refreshing of the webpage, just the content.Basically think of an elevator user clicks on menu item, elevator wheel spins, and javascript loads new content....so the elevator wheel has to play everytime a link is clicked.

View 7 RepliesI've done a search and found out about LocalConnections but I don't seem to be able to apply them to my issue. I have two separate SWF files that appear on the same web page. Both are simple animations and all I want is when the first has finished playing for the second to start, and them when that has completed restart the first one again (and so on...).
I'm also guessing that in order for this to work I'll need some code in the first SWF to detect that the second has finished loading otherwise nothing will happen when the first SWF reaches the end.
