I have some video that's loaded in to the FLVPlayback component, the source of which is pulled from an XML file.On my own server, everything runs fine. On my clients server, the video is not loading. What could cause this to be happening? The pathing goes a little like this:main.swfvideos/movie.flvxml/data.xmlMain loads the xml file, then the xml file references the movie link and loads it into the FLVPlayback component.
i am just curious if this kind of technology for flash is available. Can a website flash player able to cut specific part of the video and save it as a new video through php and flash.
I've recently made a website for a friend and she wants a video to play on one of the frames. It is in the library and the video plays when i test the movie on my laptop, however, I have now uploaded the .swf file website to a host along with the video and it isn't playing. Any ideas how to sort this out? Not completely sure myself! Using Flash CS4 with Actionscript 2.0 if that makes any difference to anything.
Is there a how-to I can follow to help me in selecting technologies and in implementing my solution? the exact behaviour I would like to implement is as follows:
1) page loads 2) webcam starts recording 3) user hits button 4) webcam stops recording 5) video is stored on my server
I have an MVC3 app I need to enhance with video capture functionality. I don't yet understand all the pieces involved but it seems I may have to choose between Flash (which is not supported on iPhones and iPads) and Silverlight.it also seems I need a server-side component like the Flash Media Server. Honestly I'm overwhelmed with all the choices (having to learn ActionScript, Flex, what not).it just occurred to me: if anyone's come across a service that will manage the process for me, that too would be very cool. I'm thinking that maybe someone out there (haven't found them yet but maybe it's a matter of poor keywords) has servers and offers a url I could use in an iframe to have them capture the video for me
So I've got a video in wmv format. I convert it to FLV/F4V so I can then import it into flash cs4, so it will have a timeline, pause, sound feature thing.I then export it as an swf, upload it and the result equals no video being shown on the website!I think its because web browsers don't support flv/f4v files, does anyone no where I am going wrong and how to get the video to display on a website?
I've been trying to make a flash website with a video background; I've been trying to use the FLVPlayer with no controls, but theres no loop option nor resize...all of my work is on Flash CS3
I'm new to Flash. I have edited a video in Final Cut Pro which is exported. At the end of the video, I would like to say 'Click here & have a website address.' Can I do this with flash..Is it a fairly easy process?
I created a website in Flash that is suppose to play a video with sound when the site opens. My logo then fades in over the video as it plays. I added the logo on it own timeline. On the web, my logo plays with the fade in effect correctly but the video is missing. The site works fine when I preview it but not on the web.
I have created a SWF file using Flash that loads an FLV file on my local development machine. When publishing the SWF file and generating the appropriate HTML, I can successfully load the video by opening the generated HTML page that Flash creates. However, when placing the generated HTML code in my View, the Flash is loading, but the video is not playing.I think it's a reference error to the location of the FLV file, but I've tried every combination I can think of.I placed the SWF and FLV in the corresponding View folder where I want the video to load, but to no avail.
Im trying to put a video in my website and im getting a strange result. on my computer everything is working fine BUT when im trying to run it over the internet its showing me only the skin of the video player but not loading the video. The strange part is when im loading the file stright from the ftp server, its working fine...
I am trying to smoothly integrate a video player into my website. Specifically, I want the "header image" on a page to transform into a video player when a user clicks a small "watch video" icon. I plan to use Flash CS4 for the project. A great example of this is found on the following website by clicking the "watch video" button: [Url]
I have searched and searched for the proper steps to get my flash movies to play on my website. There are many, many opinions on how to do this, but I can not find the specifics on how to accomplish this.
I am running on Dreamweaver CS5 in Code View...I have imported a flash video, which displays in design view, but will just keep loading in the actual browser and never start the video. It is running through an Apache localhost and is a PHP file...could that mess it up? I am also using jQuery with a bunch of hidden popup views, that work fine. What's wrong with my flash? Here is my source code to my flash video file:
I am brand new to all Adobe applications but have the CS5 Master Suite and have been taking many courses through Lynda.com for months. I wish to learn how to make a small video of an object being sketched. That is use a drawing tablet and stylus (whatever they are called...I have NO idea) and trace over a photo. When finished I wish to have the video of the slowly created tracing of the object sped up and when complete fade away and the actual photograph of the object traced overlap fade into view. In other words use this as a transition technique for presenting a photograph of an object rather then just have it "pop" onto the screen. My questions are: (1) What special drawing pad and stylus are required (if any....can I do it with just the mouse?) (2) Is Flash Professional the program one would use to make such a video? If not which Adobe program is best suited to this task, and (3) Is there a NAME to this "technique" in whatever program was given in answer to question two so I know where to begin and/or look for a tutorial on how to accomplish this technique?
I have a client who needs a Flash video to stream from a website, the video which is being made from powerpoint slides is roughly 22 minutes long. With the voiceover it's gonna be pretty heavy. Way too long to stream correctly from my experience so in order to do this right I need to know which way to go here.
I broke up the fla's into 4 ( 5 minute .swfs)I finished the first and I'm working on the second .fla. the first fla was published with the html wrapper let's call it v1.swf.on thelast frame of v1.swf I used the loader class to load the v2.swf into the wrapper when v2.swf ends it will loadv3.swf all the way up to 5.
So far this works using the two .swfs which are on my server and are streaming. Before I continue I just to make sure I do not do unecessary work I need to know if the way I plan on doing is correct or is there another way.
I am wondering where I should start with using Flash to create a video chat.
I have experience in HTML, PHP, C++, and SQL... not sure if that helps. But basically I am new to flash and wanna learn how to get a video chat going on my website.
we are looking forward towards developing a very interesting community portal that would help the user to broadcast their live videos across the community.I've been checking over sites like ustream.tv, justin.tv and wondering what/how Technology they been using to do so.
I am doing a lot of research over the last few days checking over the medium to do this effectively and figure out some of the leading companies in the domain like Ooyala.com, brightcove.com providing servers/technology to broadcast videos seamlessly across the globe. I will be signing up with any of these providers soon.So my question is , how exactly would my website be catching with the live feed from the users cam, send the stream to ooyala/brightcove and further broadcast it to rest of the community users.
What is the best flash video player to use for a mobile website? I'm using flowplayer for my desktop site, and need to find a way to get the same videos playing on mobile.

The problem: I have a Flash website and created the gallery for in in a seperate swf file. I now want to load this gallery into a movieclip once the playhead reachs fram 45. I have loaded the data successfully when the button is clicked, but that's as far as it goes. I try to add it to a movieclip (gallery_mc.addChild(loadGallery); )and recieve the error: "1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type flash.net:URLLoader to an unrelated type flash.display: DisplayObject.". I probably should mention that this code is on the timeline as well, so it isn't a matter of importing events.
I am a complete novice when it comes to flash and web design in general. I have purchased a flash template [URL] which I have been able to customise to my liking for a small production company. I am now completely stuck when it comes to integrating videos within the site.
I understand that I need to have an Xml playlist and some action script that references the videos to the player, but I have no clue on what to do.
I am looking to have a video begin as soon as the site loads and then have the buttons on the orange bar allow the user to navigate between other flv files. I would possibly be interested in including firther links on the video samples page.
I am wondering where I should start with using Flash to create a video chat.
I have experience in HTML, PHP, C++, and SQL... not sure if that helps. But basically I am new to flash (I do own CS4 Flash though) and wanna learn how to get a video chat going on my website.
I have a windows media video which I have converted to flash video, that I would like to have users play through on my webpage - and then after the video is completed, it would open another webpage automatically in a new window.
After looking through the web I can't find a way to do this, but it seems like it would be something that could be done. I have converted my windows video to flash format, embedded it on my stage and am ready to add action script. I know how to make the video a button so that users would click on the video and then it would open a page, but I was hoping there would be a way that it could do this automatically.
I want to be able to record 5-30 sec "green screen" segments on my video camera, extract them from the background, save it as DECENT QUALITY flash that can be embedded in my company website (small motorcycle dealership in Sweden) so that I can reach my customers in a better way. I have seen a website that does this and truly want to learn it. I am willing to buy whatever software is necessary.
I have Flash media server, flash media live encoder, and flash cs5.I'm gonna be using flash media live encoder to stream my desktop and webcam to my website. My current host (host gator) doesn't have rtmp enabled on their web hosting plan, only on their dedicated and vps hosting. My question is do I need to switch hosts to one that has rtmp enabled so I can stream to my website for people to view? Also, can I embed this stream into another part of my site?
I wish to play a video content (in a container) from my website/ blog, when the page is loaded . Similar to that of youtube, dailymotion etc. I wish to give the actual Url to that container, which then plays the video in that location. The basic idea is to hide the actual URL from the user and make the person to view the video from the current page.
