I am wondering where I should start with using Flash to create a video chat.
I have experience in HTML, PHP, C++, and SQL... not sure if that helps. But basically I am new to flash and wanna learn how to get a video chat going on my website.
I am wondering where I should start with using Flash to create a video chat.
I have experience in HTML, PHP, C++, and SQL... not sure if that helps. But basically I am new to flash (I do own CS4 Flash though) and wanna learn how to get a video chat going on my website.
I want to imitate the webcam video record feature that yFrog has on it's site.I know I need a flash media server or a red5 one, but I want to know what flash app do they use and what is available on the net to record videos using the users webcam.
My organization normally provides customer support over e-mail and over the phone, but in particularly tricky situations we find we need to have an approximation of face-to-face communication. We're trying to find or build a software solution that we can integrate into our site. Our requirements are that:
I have a webcam set up in flash. What I want is to be able to talk to someone else who has a webcam via my website. Can someone point my in the right direction? I'll need to do it in as2.
I need to implement a webcam for a web chat system. Im trying to avoid that the video data goes through the webserver... it should go directly from client to client (as if they were using with skype).
I need to create a webcam chat which i intend to use in my website. It will allow two or more persons to video chat through their webcams.I want to develop the webcam chat from the scratch. I have no idea which software to use. I did a thorough search for this topic and alli got is adobe flash with some actionscript is required to build it.
I am building an enterprise application which involves many to many video chat. Most of the chats at any given time will be idle but they still need to trasmit some frames to keep the video chat alive and let other person know that someone is available. Will I be able to achieve this without any media server such as FMS and wowza? I heard about data packet loss during RTMFP. Is that true? What would be my limitations?
The problem is a weird problem, because I can connect to the application through an RTMP test site, Adobe Flash Server reconginzes the connection and allows it. But when I try to connect from the flash applet (It's called Videowhisper), the connection doesn't go through. I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is? I host Joomla (open source networking site) on a WAMP server, and Adobe Flash Server on the same machine. Adobe Flash Server is acception connections, just not from Joomla, for some reason.
How would I go about adding chat to FMSS during live webcam broadcasts? I will be using FMSS to broadcast webcam.Obviously it is an outgoing stream only as I am told to do cam to cam I need FMIS and at present I do not need cam to cam and I can not afford FMIS.I want the viewers of the webcam broadcast to have a chat window where they can send comments to the person on the webcam and the person on the webcam can type back if they want to.I have glazed over some posts here and saw that it can be done in Flash, I want to know if I can do it with FMSS. It does not need to be elaborate.
So I have this project I'm working on and I'm trying to build the website part of my project. I have experience with Flash AS3, but not so much or none with JavaScript. My co-workers are telling me that they are almost the same and you can just build the site in JavaScript. But people can have JavaScript turned off, and not everyone uses Flash.
I'm having difficulty knowing what to use to build my website...by the way, this website is generally an application. It's going to have a menu with features and stuff. I figured I can probably do HTML and PHP, but there's some features I need that will be dynamic. I really want this site to be available to as many people as possible.
I am looking to design and add an interactive flash part to our company's website. Since we do a lot of business planning and consulting, we have come up with a great idea, but unfortunately, none of us really know how to create it. Basically from what I have researched, I will need to incorporate animated buttons in a flash movie. I have attached a quick sketch of what the website will look like. The part I need to work with is the middle section with the boxes.
What I need to do is this: The 5 gray boxes need to be buttons that link to their related pages. When the page loads, I want the animation to draw the first box, create the line, draw the second box, draw the next line, etc. until all the boxes and lines are drawn. This is a process map and since we do a lot of these for our work, we thought it would be nice for us to incorporate this into our website. Furthermore, it would be ideal if these boxes were links to different pages on the site as well.
So my question is this: -What do I need to create in order to have this animation work -Where is a good place to start looking in regards to creating something like this -Is this even possible
I'm just beginning to wrap my head around design patterns. I'm in the process of rebuilding a slideshow using MVC and it's coming along nicely. I'm considering using a design pattern for the whole site and am wondering if there are certain patterns that people usually apply to sites.
I want to implement something like a pick-and-change selector, like this one here, what tools can i use to accomplish something like that? Is flash adequate? Which has the shortest learning curve? I was told by my friend to use 3d max.
i need a "take picture" option in my website which is developed in MVC3 and C# where i can capture image from web cam on clients pc and want to store that image on my server in some specific folder.
This will create an flv video file on flash media server:
var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); ns.publish("yourCamera", "record"); ns.attachVideo(Camera.get());
How can I generate an image for the current video frame every 2 seconds?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes. I'm looking to stream a live webcam on my website and have no idea where to start. I've been searching for a while and various things refer to Flash Media Server but this is costly and, as I will be streaming from University, it will probably be blocked on the network or take up too much bandwidth.
Does anyone know of a way to stream a webcam, without FMS or Quicktime Broadcaster etc.? Any free websites that provide this service could be possible, so long as the stream isn't available to anyone outside my website.
I have installed flash media server, flash cs5, media live encoder to be able to view my webcam feed via my website. Now in addition to these, i started streaming to localhost, and installed a dns updater which updates a name server according to my current ip. Then i wrote this dns address in the feed's source from flash 5 as rtmp://thednsname.somedns.net/live/livestream
so far so good, i also forwarded the ports 1935 incoming and outgoing from modem to my computer as well (because 1935 is said to be the default port number for media server). firewall -> closed (just in case); and my internet provider doesn't block ports...started the media server (with admin privilage in 7), started the live encoder, connect to localhost, start live feed.
NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound : Adobe Flash tried to play a live or recorded stream that does not exist. Source can't be found.
I would like to create a video chat. no text, just 1-1 video, which is very simple. Is it possible with Flash 10? Does it cost any money to use Stratus ?Do you know if there something similar already out there ?
I want to implement Video Chat with two person, the person will be randomly selected like in chatroulette. I have no idea of RTMP server so is there any opensource system that I can use or create from scratch. I am new to flash and worked on php.
I have developed flash audio and video chat application, every thing is working fine with all browser with in XP(os), but I have problem in Mac(os), i.e., I cannot able to click on Website Privacy Settings panel allow button in Mac 10.5.8, cursor is pointing on allow button, when am clicking on it nothing is happening, and there is no probelm in XP, I can able to click on Allow button. How do I stop or disable appearing Website Privacy Settings panel before webcam starts. I went through with [URL], here its allowing without appear website privacy setting panel for only one user that also for that particular PC only,i wanted to get allow for all online web users by default allow with out appearing website privacy seetings panel.
I'm trying to make a P2P video chat application with Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Media Server 4.5.First, I've tried a simple sample application using Cirrus(Stratus). It worked very well!NetConnection -> NetGroup -> 2 NetStreams -> netstream play and publish -> last, netgroup post. The sample was all OK.[code]I couldn't get events about NetGroup and NetStream any more..When using Stratus, It worked well...I am not familiar with FMS.. did I skip something in FMS setting?
