ActionScript 3.0 :: Add A Bar Thats Going From The Bottom Of The Screen?
Aug 3, 2011
ive been trying to add a bar thats going from the bottom of the screen (0,550) to the top of the screen (0,-25), now from some reason each time i restore its place to 550 it is speeding up.
i am a beginner in action script / flex framework and i am facing a problem: i would like to have like a menu bar always anchor the bottom of the screen in normal and full screen mode... i try to set my component with bottom = "1" (so it should alway be at 1 pixel from the bottom of the stage ... But .. NO :)
I have my movie embedded with 100% width 100% height in order to take up the entire browser window. Now what I would like is a MC to automatically align itself so that it stays at the bottom edge of the browser and adjusts itself whenever the browser window is resized.
I'm creating a simple game and I need to move objects down the y-axis from the top of the screen to the bottom.I want one object specifically to randomly appear and then exit the screen. I'm using a random number generator to test against and call the object to the screen and to move from top to bottom when the random number is greater than 950.The problem is that when the random number generator, generates two numbers in a row over 950 the objects skips back to the top.The animation is nested within the mc. I tried animating it with as3 but it jumps down the screen and doesn't look like a smooth animation.Is their a way that I can track the progress of the mc animation and use an && conditional to only play the animation when it's on, say frame one of the animation?What I want is to say if the movie clip is at frame one(stopped) and the random number is greater than 950 play the clip. If the clip is begin played not at frame one. Don't replay it.[code]
was looking at former sotw winners and i came across funkycode.de, which has the bottom section of its page adjust within flash depending on the browser, and not just the resolution. for eg; if you resize the window the bottom nav will just flow upward and follow (until you hit the 1024x768 boundary in which case the bottom doesnt exist anymore) speaking of which, dont you think it kind of sucks that sites have to be made in consideration for 1024 when you can do so much more with 1280
I have a touch screen computer and I want to make a little flash game for it.
picture this: the game screen will be like
[code ....]
now since its touch screen I can tap the screen and that is like a mouse click.urrent I have it so on a mouse click my hero will move to the mouse click coords.now I want to add a little box in the bottom left that in NOT clickable because I want a shoot button there and I dont want the char to move there so like this
[code ...How can i make a little box like that which will not detect a mouse click?
I need to be able to position the controls at the very bottom of the screen and have the controls stretch from left to right - anyone know the code to acheive this?
We all must have seen players, that when in full screen mode, the controls are set to perfectly align at the bottom of the screen, and the aspect ratio of the controls are perfect (no distortion) - any one know what code acheives this?It must be something to do with, being able to auto detect what screen size the user has, perhaps
I have a baground in my swf. I want the background over the browser screen. Code: Select allfunction ImageonBaground(mc:MovieClip) { }if (mc._width==0 || mc._height == 0) return; var imagein:Number = mc._width/mc._height; var stagein:Number = Stage.width/Stage.height; if (stageRatio>=imagein) { // match image width and adjust height to fit [Code] .....
In the code are other things ( Stage.scaleMode = "NoScale" , listener an etc.) I have a problem, the picture is big. I publish the fla to html and I looked in it... in the browser the bottom of the picture cropped. Is there a possibility that the browser show me the rest of the background with a scrollbar. I have a widescreen laptop and I want to optimize for that.
I have my flash site working ok, but want the pop up browsers that are sized to pop up in the centre of the screen, instead of the bottom! Anyone know how to fix this? I'm using the following code on buttons:
on (release) { getURL("javascript:CultWear=window.open('http://www.stevedawson.org.uk/cultweargallery.html','CulWea','width=1133,height= 425,left=425,top=1133,screenX=1133,screenY=425');C ultWear.focus();void(0);"); }
The problem that I'm facing is in regards to the width of a sliding menu that I've created. The menu slides based on mouse x position and width of the movie. I would like the menu to fit to the entire screen regardless of the users resolution. I wanted to know if there's a way to detect a users screen width and then adjust the variable for screen width within my actionscript .fla if necessary.
How can I make a action script controlled print screen that will save a part of a screen And can I filter a color out of it (so that only that one color will NOT be visible on the saved img) with AS
I want to make a box come from off screen then bounce back and forth and then come settled down in the middle of the screen. It can be random bouning intervels or a set amount.
I'm new to Adobe Flash CS4. I'm making an animation of some fish underwater. I have 2 small fish motion tweened to follow a large fish from left to right. When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.
I'm making a side-scrolling game, with a (theoretically) infinite background. I have a block engine that places the blocks on the bitmap canvas. Now here's the catch. I'm using the bitmapData.scroll() function. Now unless I clear the screen each time the character moves, it's going to leave ghost images of the border of the screen, like this picture: zanzlanz. tumblr. com/post/18857712784 If I clear the screen each time, then it generates a lot of lag (because it has to repaint the objects again). I'm a bit lost on how I can scroll without leaving streaks of the side of the screen and without repainting the entire screen.
im making an application on the chicago bulls, its nearly finished but ive hit a problem i cant fix, when i try and move from the roster screen to any of the other screens the items on the roster screen stay visible and the script on the new screen doesnt work.URL...
I have an AIR application that will go full screen when the application starts: stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE; The stage size is 2560 x 1024. And I have 2 moniters (1280 x 1024 , 1280 x 1024) When I start the application, it shows my application on one of my moniter only.
I need the left side of the stage to be shown in moniter 1 and right side of the stage to be shown in moniter 2. Currently, both sides are shown in moniter 1, and in moniter 2, it shows nothing but my default desktop. *The blue color line is a divider for better visual purpose. How do I make the left side of the stage to appear in moniter 1 and right side of the stage to appear in moniter 2 when the application starts in full screen mode?
Is a command for AS2 to make my movie file play fullscreen (stretch, fit to screen, anything).
goFullScreen(); is great but it leaves white bars left and right. What's odd is that I'm using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and it seems to display a perfect widescreen that I want as an input and output but once compiled in flash, it's more square leaving me with white bars left and right. The frame for the video in flash is also widescreen looking.
edit: I ended up stretching the width of the frame but if there is a better way through a command that would make my life easier so I don't have to adjust to every monitor that I run this on.
It seems like the loading screen (more like frame) is the last thing to load, so you are stuck staring at a blank screen for a while. How can i prioritize how the game loads so that the instant you get on the page the loading screen comes up immediately?
I have a flash app that contains a lot of data. Part of it has a video. I want to have an option to expand just the video to full screen mode. I have this working now, however it scales it proportionally based on the size of my flash app. Instead of doing that, how can I expand it to be 100% of the screen width?
Code: function goFullScreen(base):void { if (stage.displayState == StageDisplayState.NORMAL)
I've been trying to attempt to make it so a .flv video will fit to the entire screen of the browser window. ( I already have my .swf file fit to re-size to any browser on any computer. I just can't figure out how to make the video as well) And obviously an external video so the flash file wont take forever to load.The point is this is to be able to have the Video be the background. So I may put content (Links, information or whatever else) on top of the video.
Actaully I am running a cards game. While running the game in between if I change the style portrait to landscape. then how can I detect the screen size and run the game according the screen style (Portrait or Landscape).
Actaully I have written the code to detect the screen as portrait and landscape. But in between if I change the game portrait into landscape, no more it works.
[ X ] Problem solved I just came up with something i have some trouble to handle I've tried a couple of solution but none seems to work perfectly
What I'm trying to do is simple, get my flash to go full screen, but whatever resolution the user has, my flash must centers itself with the biggest proportion possible, and two movie clips goes right and left of it, as if they were borders.
I've been able to do this with a simple png, but i was not able with a movieclip where his dimension changes through time. ( i have a tween, so the mc gets really big even though just my stage is displayed)
I encountered on the building of my largest flash project to date. The project is a dvd-based presentation with audio, video and text that's xml driven.The project has been coming along nicely but recently a bug has popped up that I haven't been able to figure out. Here's what's going on:
There are three main sections in the swf, the intro screen, the main screen and the content screen. The swf is set to default to full-screen with the resizing and re-positioning of the elements built into a resize handler. Since each screen has different content, each screen has a different resize handler that is removed when transitioning to the next screen before the resize handler is applied for that screen.
For the first two screens, everything is working fine, but when you get to the content (third) screen (where the xml loads), the entire flash movie darkens, and nothing is clickable. This only occurs when the swf is in its default full-screen mode, if you escape full-screen the screen goes back to normal and the nav is clickable again. Also, if you've escaped full-screen mode before you reach the third screen, it remains normal and clickable.
I initially thought that it might be an issue with the event handler for the fullscreen, but the bug never appeared in previous versions with the same code. So I replaced the fla file with one that was not causing the bug and got a functioning swf out of it, even though it was including the same as3 files that the buggy file was including. I saved that file and sent it to the client, who has been successfully publishing from it without a problem. So I thought, problem solved, just a corrupt fla file. But now, any version of the swf that I publish has the problem, even ones that published fine earlier, and aren't using any of the new code that was being used when the problem started occurring. is it possible that my flash app has gotten corrupted or something? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?
My question is what needs to be done in order to make a .swf file go into full screen without falling to a black screen when a movie is played? I have tried coding it, however I come up with the following error.
[Code]....
What should I do to fix this? This is not going to be an HTML file, however, so the initial thought of changing the publish settings does not seem to work this time.
Regarding System.capabilities.screenResolutionX in FMX, how would I achieve a movie clip on my stage to automatically alight to the left of the screen/browser depending on the viewers screen resolution?
i want to user print screen command in AS3 and convert into bitmap as background in fullscreen i.e.
print screen from keyboard - keycode i.e. 44 [URL]
i want to know how can i run printscreen code from flash to capture user screen as i want to have flash presentation in 600x600px with disabled desktop and flash presentation should be in center of screen.
