ActionScript 3.0 :: Import Mx.core.* With CS4 - Error: 1004: Namespace Was Not Found?
Jun 3, 2009
Is mx.core.* something in the flex sdk / framework? I am trying to get the unserializer from [URL] to work with flash CS4, and I am getting the compiler error: 1004: Namespace was not found or is not a compile-time constant. The lines called out in the package are: use namespace mx_internal and mx_internal static var c:uint;
I don't know the first thing about namespaces, but does anyone know how to get this package/class working in CS4 AS3? It might be something simple I am missing. I have attached the .as package file (uploaded as a txt file) if anyone wants a look... I am having to get a lot of lists from a mySQL database and it is becoming a real pain urlencoding them all manually. If I could just urlencode(serialize($result)); in php and send that file to AS3 to be decode it would be so much simpler.
I have been getting this error004: Namespace was not found or is not a compile-time constant error and it just does not seem to go away.I am using Coordinate geometry principles to find out the intersections points. I am storing the slopes of the lines and intersection points as arrays. This is the code I am using.
package { import flash.display.Sprite; public class AngryBubble extends Sprite {
package { import flash.display.*; import flash.events.*; public class MVball extends MovieClip { public var mass=0; public var yvel=0; public var xvel=0;
I'm trying to load a module into a flex 4 application (the module was compiled using SDK4 as well) but I got this error (I'm migrating this app from Flex 3 to Flex 4):
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.core::LayoutContainer could not be found. at flash.display::MovieClip/nextFrame() at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/deferredNextFrame() at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/update() at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/moduleCompleteHandler()
i embedded external swf file with Embed tag and application/octet-stream [Embed(source="myLogo.swf" , mimeType="application/octet-stream")] private var myLogoclass:Class; but when i compile it , this error appear VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.core::ByteArrayAsset could not be found. i use FLASH IDE (CS5)
I tried the code EmbedAssets.as below found in sample here: [URL] I got this error when building with mxmlc.exe and testing the ouput EmbedAssets.swf in Flash Player 9: VerifyError: Error #1014: mx.core::BitmapAsset could not be found
I have been following the Flash CS3 Portfolio website tutorial on [url].... exactly and haven't run into any problems until this one.I am getting this error?
I am trying to use Flex Unit in FlashBuilder 4.5.1 and I am getting the warning " import AbstractMatcherTestCase could not be found". I have hamcrest-as3-flex-1.1.3.swc as one of my referenced libraries for the project. I am trying to import as follows: import org.hamcrest.AbstractMatcherTestCase;
i am trying to get tuio running in flash an i am getting this errorLine 10 1044: Interface method newFrame in namespace org.tuio:ITuioListener not implemented by class TuioExampleDrawingCursor.i'm not sure what to do about fixing it as i'm relearning flash after an extended hiatus. here is the code its used in:
Word to the Flash Genies-- Heres my wish that hopefully someone else is struggling with an enormously mind-boggling bug in flash cs3-- when I try to create a public class that extends any of the native flash display objects, and I put this in its own package, even after specifically importing the specific class OR the package wildcard .* the fla that I'm compiling returns error 1017-- Base Class Definition not found. The fla is set to the correct classpath. This situation slipped from 'minor annoyance' to 'mind boggling' after I moved the directory to a different pc with cs3, reset the local classpath and it compiled perfectly. So then I moved the directory to a mac, running flex builder, and made a tester file to use the class, which compiled perfectly.
For some wierd reason, this particular computer cannot compile, even though nothing had changed in the actual class. Maybe it is important to note that this machine is running Vista (and perhaps should not be!)? Maybe it is important to note that the package is part of an SVN directory? Maybe it is important to note that after re-saving the same class file, changing only the class name (from BitmapSprite to BSprite) enabled it to compile on this machine, even though both the mac and other pc (running windows XP) could compile the class as BitmapSprite. I'm not sure if the name change or just re-saving allowed it to compile--but maybe it's significant that the new named instance was not committed to svn.
I just upgraded from Flash Builder 4 to 4.5 and have imported one of my FB 4 projects.I am now seeing an orange question mark in the gutter next to all of my import statements that are importing local classes (as well as everywhere the said class methods are used) and an orange underline appears under the import statement.When I hover over the underline it says that the import could not be found.
The project compiles and runs without a problem (I use ANT to build this project).If I open one of the class files in question then change something (i.e press space bar) and hit save (EDIT: actually found I don't have to even save, just opening causes FB to find it) then go back to the file importing it the orange question mark is gone for that import, I get the code assist and CTL+Click links me to the class file. However, if I close that file and reopen it again cannot find the class file.The classes in question are stored under my project's src dir as:
- src +---com +---myappname[code]........
Is this a FB 4.5 "enhancement"? I've tried deleting and re-importing the project, refreshing the project and am now kind of at a loss of what to do. It's annoying enough that I may need to downgrade to 4.
I am currently trying to move one of my AS2 projects over to as3 for a school project. The problem I am having is that my as2 project declares variables on the keyframe that are used on that frame only, the following frames declare the same variables for their own operations.. IE (Score = 0). The problem with as3 is that I am getting namespace errors and how to stop it. this is a puzzle game created originally in as2.. for the first level of the game the keyframe has this code on it to declare the variables to be used for the first level ONLY
I am developing an application where the user chooses the game he wants to play. In my main timeline I have a different layer for each game(movie clip). Movie clips - games - have some common function/variable names with totally different implementation. When I try to compile I get the :
Code: ...1151: A conflict exists with definition iArea in namespace internal.
I unchecked 'Automatically declare stage instances' option on stage settings.There are 30 errors of this kind and there will be 6-7 games so coming up with different names will be a real pain.
i dont know if its me but have things got alot more complicated? i have made 4 .swf's that all work fine individually. i have 4 scenes that each .swf is to load into and play in turn when the main movie loads in.before the loadmovie code was:
I am a COMPLETE newb at actionscript. I have been experimenting with variables; I've made some assumptions based on programming with other languages.When I search for errors,it says my script is fine, but when I publish preview, it plays and then gives me errors.I keep getting error 1152: A conflict exists with inherited definition flash.displayisplayObject.x in namespace public. and1152: A conflict exists with inherited definition flash.displayisplayObject.y in namespace public.
Here is my script for frame1
stop(); import flash.events.MouseEvent; var x:int; var y:int;
I'm working on a Flex application that processes and displays small amounts of HTML, sometimes including images. I'm getting the HTML out of third-party RSS feeds. Sometimes, I see this in a pop-up window: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
The RSS URL is just fine, but there's apparently something in the downloaded HTML that's causing a problem. Since the application is meant to run as part of a non-interactive digital sign, anything that requires a click to continue is completely unacceptable. I don't care how useless or malformed a URL is; the app needs to ignore the problem without pestering the user.
Unfortunately, I'm having no luck trapping this event. I'm sprinkling calls like this liberally through the code: [object].addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, handleIOError); where [object] is everything from the mx:Text object rendering the HTML to its mx:Canvas parent to the mx:Application top-level app, and handleIOError is a simple function that looks like this:
i was building a simple menu shown on a tutorial entitled Drop Down Menu and Linking it: Flash Toturial. Im using Flash CS3 action script 3.0 and i recieve this error 1087 syntax error extra characters found after endo fo program.
I'm building a site for a friend and I am having trouble getting rid of "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found". I have the main site and 4 other swf's which are supposed to load and unload at the click of a button all together in a folder. Now, I've triple, quadruple-checked all paths and they're the same. It's really irritating me because I can't find the reason why these SWF files won't load at all. Here's my code:
flash CS4i trace the thumbURL it give me right path in output,but when i call it in new URLRequest. it give me Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
var thumbURL:String = "thumb/universe" + id + ".jpg"; trace(thumbURL); ///<<<<<<<<<<<<<<when i trace it it give me exact path var imageLdr:Loader = new Loader();
I am designing a mini-website that loads external swfs. One of my swfs is missing, so when I hit the button whose function is to load it, I get an output message that says:
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
So far, this makes sense to me. I got curious about how to let the user know that the swf is missing or otherwise let him or her know that I made a mistake, so I've learned about IO_ERROR. I came up with the following code and now I am not getting any error messages - but also nothing is happening. If there is content in the Loader already, it doesn't go away. If the Loader is empty, it stays empty.
function page4content(evt:MouseEvent):void { var myURL:URLRequest=new URLRequest("page4.swf"); myLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(IOErro rEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler);
1.) I have the following exact code for a button in a keyframe on the timeline (not in the button itself and of course excluding the quotes)
" on (release) { getURL ("www.yoursite.com", "_blank"); } " and I get the following error when I try and preview in Flash CS3 1087 : Syntax error: extra characters found after end of program.
2.) Also, I have another layer with a "stop" action taking place at the same time that this button occurrs, however, once I have the script in the keyframe for the button, it seems to override the stop action. So, basicly, IM looking to stop the movie and get this button to, once clicked, open a web address.
i am currently working on a user interface based project using as3,cs4 and xml, all of which is working fine except when i launch the .swf and this error appears in the output box
[Code]...
this is confusinig though as channelslide doesnt not exist anymore and after debuging the .swf several times to see if it was being referenced in the code i found that channelslide is not referenced at all.
I used the code below to make a preloader and it works fine when I try it locally, but gives me the following error when I try to use it in a website: "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found." The preloader is a swf that pulls in another swf after it loads. Also when I use the swf that the preloader is pulling in, it also works.
