ActionScript 3.0 :: Make The Dropdown Menu Scroll Down And Fall Over The Html Content?

Just finished up my first drop down menu and needed some help as well as feedback. [URL] QUESTION: What do I need to do to make the dropdown menu scroll down and fall over the html content? In other words; How do i get the other content on the page to sit right underneath the dropdown menu? I can only get the content to sit below the .swf video which is larger than the dropdown bar since it needs room to display the drop down selections.
I'm creating a webpage, and I have made some buttons.Image 1 is the homepage, which is frame 1 in Flash.Image 2 shows that when I rollover the button "Portfolio,"I get a dropdown menu.I have this set as frame 3 in Flash.Image 3 shows that I've gone down the dropdown menu and rolled over "Photography." But if I rollout of any of the things from the dropdown menu, it stays at Image 2 (Frame 3)with the dropdown menu visible. Which is a problem...I want to be able to rollout of these buttons to revert back to the homepage, Image 1 (Frame 1).But, for instance, telling "Graphic Design" to go to Frame 1 on rollout means that if I try to go below "Graphic Design" to "Photography," I've rolled out--and so the rest of the menu disappears.So I want to roll be able to select anything from the dropdown menu, and only rollout to Frame 1 if I go outside the entire dropdown menu, not just one button.
I have a html/css based menu and I'm trying to put a flash video in the banner right under it, but when I hover the dropdown section of the menu it ends up behind it.Is this a z-index problem or do I need to set certain properties on the flash video?
I have an HTML website with a flash header and dropdown menu.In the beginning, the flash dropdown menu would not show at all untili found the wmode=transparent trick.The menus are now showing properly except for one specific page wherethe text on the page show up OVER the dropdown menu. In all otherpages, the dropdown menu shows up on top of any text that may be inthere.There's nothing on that particular page jumping at me that would causethe problem. In fact, the page uses the same CSS file as the otherpages. I'm really clueless.I'm not sure if it's a flash problem or HTML/CSS problem.
The only difference i could think of was that the page was called froma combobox change event. But i switched the page called to anotherpage i know works with the menu and it was fine. So the problem doesnot come from the combobox calling the page, it really is the pageitself.Does anyone have a clue?Working page sample (sorry its in french)click on Nos Services. i want 2 make a dropdown menu in flash actually i'm a new comer so i've no idea about flash i want 2 appear my dropdown menu on rollover and disappear on rollout
I've created a dynamic text field where I've insert into a lot of HTML code. Since it's too much long I've used a default scrollbar and simply dropped it onto the field so that It's linked to that. When I try it the bar is there but I can just see the upper arrow and the bottom one; the middle part isn't visible and I can't scroll down the HTML content.

I'm having with a menu navigation system. I'm using Flash MX. I have created a menu system for the site I'm building ([URL]) where one of the buttons "Choose photographer" drops down a list of names. All the other buttons just jump to another page. The drop down is currently using tweens also the logo moves to the left as the dropdown appears and returns when the dropdown returns. All working fine apart from its a bit jerky.
It's I just wanted to get away from tweening and use action scripts instead, as I'm a newbie to all things Flash I trawled the net for tutorials and examples so that I could cobble together the exact same effect. I have managed to get the drop down work and return using the action script and it does seem smoother and works slightly better. But can I get the logo to move to the left and back in time with the drop down...no.
I have a Flash header with a menu item that drops down a sub menu and takes up an additional 200px or so of space. I need the menu to overlap the HTML content below without having to make the SWF file taller, since that would push everything down.
I am aware of how to reset the right-click context menu to just "settings", but when the file is opened in Flash Player directly from a computer instead of on the web, the drop-down menu in the player is still available. You can even press ctrl+enter to play. My searches just come up with solutions to the right-click menu, and I have a client who wants me to get rid of this menu for a game I've already made.
This is a an XML driven drop down menu and I found out that if there are too many items on a category, the item go off below the screen and can no longer be seen. I tried to make it scroll using the scrollPane and following other tutorials but it is still diffult for me to do.
I would like to scroll content in a Movie Clip (size: 10000 x 8000 px) with Flash Scrollpane component (AS3). However, I want to make the content scroll in both X & Y axis instead of along of the scrollbar axis. How can I achieve this?
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
I have attached a file with a senocular springy menu that i have been playing around with. One thing i would like to know how to do is - towards the bottom of the script on _root, a comment says: // for unique content in item clips, attach those / movie clips to the item clip here i have tried many ways to make different content in each menu item, but to no avail (my knowledge of actionscript is not that great). I have been customizing a Flash template and I'm almost done... my issue is that I would like one of the buttons to open up a NEW window (ideally with no address bar but with a scrollbar) when a user clicks the guestbook button. Right now it opens in the same window and the user then clicks a button on that page to return to the site, but that is sloppy because the music starts all over again, etc.[URL]

I am in a pinch for time and know very little about Flash and even less about Actionscript, but I need to know how to make a ball fall according to gravity!

i'm trying to make a dropdown menu like Senocular's menu but without xml and horizontal one.... i attached an example i think i found it here in Kirupa...i want to do it but the problem is i need to give each bar deffernet color and when click it appears with it's color until click another one.....
is it possible to do it with frames not in AS methods..
so i am making a website in Dreamweaver cs5 and i am going to be importing a .swf animation for the menu bar i made in Flash. how do i make an action in Flash direct to a page of my website in Dreamweaver for example the index.html file of my web page.right now i have an actions layer with a stop(); command on the last frame of the animation i want to add a command under that, that will take the user to the index.html page of my website when the button is clicked. I have the button already made as well as the animation all i am missing is the code to go to the index.html page.
I wish to have a numeric stepper which allows me to choose the no of balls I want, then when i press the button I want all these balls to fall down..but when I press the button the x no of balls are generated but not falling down.
What i need to know, is how to make create random instances of the objects falling (as seen on footer) , so i need to figure out how to create random instances and random times in which they fall.
