Professional :: Making Multiple Buttons Out Of One Picture?
Jun 15, 2010this is probably a daft question but I'm a complete novice so bear with me. I need to know if it's possible to upload a picture to my Flash stage (a row of buttons I made in photoshop) and then somehow select each of these buttons and turn them into working button symbols? Or do I have to (very annoyingly) upload each button as a seperate picture in a seperate layer before turning it into a button symbol?

May 22, 2007I'm working on a dynamically resized photo gallery like everyone else and their mother. Everything works ok so far, until I try to add key detection to complement the previous and next buttons already in place. When I hit the left or right key it registers, but the picture doesn't resize the same as if I just press the prev or next buttons. It actually loads the next picture, and then resizes on the follow key hit.

May 27, 2011I made a simple picture slideshow with a timer, prev/next buttons, pause/play buttons and jump buttons. Everything went good so far.Now i'm trying make every picture go to a URL when the picture is clicked but only the link on the first frame goes to the URL when clicked the other 5 buttons do nothing when click.(FYI: I made alpha 0% buttons in a layer above pictures)I tried two different codes but both have no effect.

IDE :: AS2 XML Album Publishing
Jan 22, 2010I created a photo album using XML and actionscript 2. When I test it out on my computer it works great. Just how I thought it would. But when I publish it and put on the server it decides to get a mind of its own. When the page loads the images will go in a random order but the title attributes I created stay just as it should.So basically image 3 will come up first and title 1 will be with it. I changed the the title to print the url that is being called and it will say the correct thing but show the wrong image.

Nov 28, 2010I'm new at action scripting and found the outline of a script to use for creating a photo album. I was able to do most of what I wanted but unable to complete the final step and cannot figure out how to do it.
There should be 21thumbnails and corresponding full-size images available for viewing on the page below.Trace code confirms that 21 images in the xml file are called but the display in the scroll pane shows only the first 6, which is good, but there are no advancing buttons in the scroll pane to allow the viewer to go to the next image. How do I make this happen?
